Very well put together Brother. There will always be opposition to the restored gospel, but those that have eyes to see and ears to hear will see and hear. I applaud all your study into the prophet Joseph Smith and the journal of discourses which contain so many precious truths that are often ignored in the world today. I would strongly caution however about trying to profit off of such material any more than the cost of printing. I'm quite sure the prophet Joseph Smith would not approve of that in his time or ours.

Which Jesus are you talking about?
When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God. God Himself warns us about this in: MATTHEW 24: 23-24
"Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible even the elect..."
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God.
So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in?
A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan.
OR
B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God.
Look, we read BOTH. I wish we could help you understand this. We read BOTH. They BOTH serve to provide MORE of Jesus Christ. We want more of Him. The Book of Mormon is "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" not "The Replacement of the Bible".
If you TRULY believe in Jesus Christ, then you would also believe in the Book of Mormon. I invite you to actually read it.
Let's talk about Joseph Smith and polygamy. Did he practice polygamy and marry 30 plus women, 11 already married to other men or was he a monogamist and only married to one woman? Because if he did practice polygamy and lied about it, then it cannot be claimed that he was worthy to be called a true prophet of God.
Sure let's talk about it. How did you convince yourself you get to make the rules about what qualifies and disqualifies a prophet of God with regards to polygamy. If he restored the practice and kept it a secret, in his mind he could've justified it by fulfilling the commandment of God while also attempting to protect the saints from further violent persecution. Did God want him to hide the practice, to cover it up, to lie? Most likely not. However, he is a man. He is prone to making mistakes and is not perfect. But he did everything that he was tasked to do. From restoring the church of Christ on the earth in these latter days. He was given the priesthood keys and restored the power of God on the earth. He did all of this ultimately giving his life for it. He is an amazing example of what a prophet is, faults and all. If we had half as much documentation about the day to day life of Noah or Abraham, we'd see their humanly faults as well, but it wouldn't discredit their status as holy prophets of God who faithfully carried out the will of God in their times.

@@RobertStanley461 oh I thought I was clearly coming from the position that it is documented that he did in fact restore the practice of polygamy and did engage in it himself. He did perform sealing ceremonies with women who were legally married to other men. There's no indication that these sealings were in fact sexual in nature if that's what you're getting at, but yes, he is eternally connected to these women and their families. Or you could say that these couples, through the marriage between Joseph and these women have connected the Smith family to their family in the next life. Kind of a beautiful doctrine actually.
@@RobertStanley461 also worth noting that the practice was very new and the priesthood keys were very new too. Did they execute the practices perfectly in the early days of the restoration? I don't know, probably not. But through their faith and commitment to the gospel, the early saints tried their best.
@@leftistLizard92 So if he was only engaged in sealings with these women and was not having sex with them, then he was not practicing polygamy. The purpose of plural marriage/polygamy was to raise up seed. What would be the purpose of him marrying other women, if he didn't have children with them?

By the power of the Holy Ghost, you may know the truth of all things, including the fact that Joseph Smith was a mighty prophet of God! The Bible is true, but it is not the sole communication from God to His children on earth. What is the Bible any way, a compilation of writings of who? Prophets! God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, is He not? So if He spoke to prophets in the past, He does now.
We need the Bible, but we desperately need prophets to interpret God's words therein. How many different interpretations and Christian denominations are there in the world? Are we one faith, one baptism, one church? Is it built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets? Only in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

In sharp contrast to your Mormon theology, the Biblical witness is clear and convincing: Jesus is the ETERNAL CREATOR GOD (John 1; Colossians 1; Hebrews 1; Revelation 1).
Paul explicitly taught that Jesus is the CREATOR of all, including the angelic realm to which Satan belongs (Colossians 1:15-16; cf. John 1:3).
Jesus is thus Satan's Creator, not HIS spirit brother.

Jesus Himself said He was the Son of God (John 10). So, too did Paul (pick ANY of his epistles) and the Apostles (e.g. 1 John 4-5, and many many more) state the same. Jesus Christ is the creator of this world (John 1:1-5), but not the Father of our spirits (Hebrews 12:9) - that title belongs to His Father - our Father in Heaven.
