I just want to say thank you for being one of the few you-tubers that actually fully explain the steps in their DIYs. Your instructions are so clear and easy to understand and it gives me hope for future sewers.
The very best part about your video is that you didn't leave any steps out at all. So many people make the assumption that others would just know how to do that they leave steps out. thank you very much for making a wonderful easy-to-follow video.
Who would have thought sewing summer pants was this easy??? I cannot thank you enough for the free, simple and wonderful tutorial. I think this video has given me enough courage to try and make my own Palazzo pants.
I made these and they turned out really, really well. I slipped them on to determine where/how I wanted the waist. I am glad I did, because I made it a little higher in the back and lower in the front, which is how I notice most of my pants are made. I also used a patterned fabric and was able to match up the seams so it appeared to repeat across the front and back of the pant. Though I have some limited experience sewing, I have NEVER made pants before and I have only sewn two other garments - skirts for little girls. Your tutorial was fantastic and gave me the confidence I needed. I am very happy with the result.
I'm a knitter who just started sewing... I've only made 2 trapeze dresses (with help). This morning I thought, Hmmm, I'll bet palazzo pants would be fairly easy...I found your tutorial, went to the fabric store, and made a fantastic pair of pants this afternoon!!! Thank you soooo much!
Your tutorial is the best! easy to understand.Today I followed your instructions making pants like your,I have to say I’m very happy with my first time sewing pants for my self, thank you so much! 🙏
It's 2016 and your tutorial is as relevant today as it was when you posted it in 2013! Thank you very much for sharing a clear explanation of how to sew palazzo pants. : )
This is great. I have been watching your videos for an hour :) I am just getting into sewing. Part of the problem is I can't find nice, creative things in my size, and so much of it is form-fitting. I have been in love with wide-leg pants for years and haven't been able to find the right ones. This is a pattern that a beginning sewer like me can get into. Thanks for sharing with us how you save money on fabric too. I love the idea of sheets from Walmart for the circle skirt. I made a poodle skirt in high school and I had to sew and cut a bunch of pieces together. It's refreshing to find videos that are for beginners, take shortcuts, like the sheet, and look great when you're done. Ahhh. Bless you.
This is literally the only tutorial I watched on how to make pants. Not complicated, not too many measurements, step by step guide provided, short and weet. I made exactly 2 pants in one day. Thank you so much!
Used your great tutorial AGAIN today to make another pair of wide leg pants. Your tutorial is the best and most easy to follow! Thank you again Nadira.
This is so great. I'm actually making clown pants for my son, who is volunteering for a Kids and Cancer Camp and their theme is "UNDER THE BIG TOP". He needs large pants and this tutorial is perfect!! You are patient and the is a wonderful, yet simple tutorial on how to make palazzo or "clown" pants! I think I will try a pair of palazzo pants for me next! Thank you so much!!
This is the first pair of pants that I have sewn. Just finished them, and I love them!! So comfy and so easy to make, even with a two year old running over the fabric while trying to cut!! Thanks for the tute. I will be making more of these soon!
I was stitching after almost 25 years and loved this. My pants came out well, except the belt for a little short. Then I attached a belt to correct that. Thank you once again.
Awesome. I've been searching on UA-cam for a simple way to sew wide-leg pants. I'm tall and I don't like tight clothes so this is so very helpful. I will be getting started on a new pair based on your instructions. I need a few more of the supplies that you listed. I feel empowered. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for a very clear tutorial. I am very interested in making easy trousers, but I realized that I would not make or wear trousers that have no pockets. Do you think this pattern would work as well if I cut on both sides (so four pieces instead of two) and then added on seam pockets?
Beautiful! Easy to follow. You are amazing Nadira. I have a pattern but still nervous about sewing the pants. You’re tutorial is just what I need. Thank you! Namaste.
Agreed. This is very easy to follow and the instructions are clear. Good job! I'll be using this video as a reference for my first pair of (non-failing) pants!
Watching this in 2020 and so grateful. These are SO perfect. I love floor length pants since I’m tall and love modesty. You’re so awesome as a teacher!
girrrrl .. that was the easiest and detailed tutorial I ever saw on how to sew a pants..thx alot for this you cut my diy search on how to.. by a great deal!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!!
What a great and easy tutorial! I've been sewing for many years - and friends often ask me how I do it or will I teach them. I have no patience to do that - but I'm going to pass on your video to show them how they can make an easy pair of pants (this style you show is my fav :) ). Many thanks!!!
tutorial, thank you! You make this look so easy and your instructions aren't overly complicated. I'm going to attempt to give this a go, wish me luck!!!
i tried it and my mom was impressed! your instructions are very well explained, esp. the pace you go is incredible step by step so that a novice like me can understand it easily. i've seen many tutorials on youtube to learn this but yours is by far the best! THANK YOU!
Thank you, I have a pattern that has three directions with wide legged pants that's not helpful at all. I can't wait to utilize this video as my tutorial! It was simple and easy to understand as I haven't sewn in over 15 years.
hi Nadira i just looked ur vidéo , is very good. thank for this. Am from Paris , so there 're some words i didn't really good understand. can u just tell me what is excatly "knit" , please. i've an idea but am not sure. thank u
Salamaleikum sister, thank you for this tutorial, I'm a muslim too and this is such a help since it's so difficult to find the right clothing in stores., I definitely will try to make this, loved it! Jazakallah Khairan...
As Salamu alejkum sis:) looks easy, but at the moment I don't even k is how to put a thread though the needle. I just purchased sawing machine and will go over weekend 4h basic beginner training. Wish me luck. Love your video :) Sanela ❤️
I love your videos...you explain everything to a T...I found a chambray sheet at a thrift store that would make some awesome pants. I plan on using a pair of straight leg capri jeans. Should I measure 2 inches on both sides? Thanks in advance for your response.
This is great! I've been wanting to have wide leg pants because I have very muscular calves, but stores don't have what I'm looking for. Now I can go make me some wide leg pants with my wool fabric to look fancy and comfortable.
Asalam alaikum sister I just recently got back on my seen iv VN Muslim for many years and I found my way back. But I j st want to say may Allah reward u sis cause now I can wear sum I would like I finally purchase my own machine as well I am geeked up. I have subscribed .. That u sister.
Nadira I don't know if you'll even see this comment but from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!! I'm going through a transitional phase in terms of my personal style sense and have been looking for more modest pants, skirts and dresses but they are sooooooo expensive online and I am on a recent graduate budget. Honestly this is the first video I've watched of your tutorials but I can tell I'm going to love your work & instructions! Again; Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! Happy New Year and Assalam aleikum
I make clothing for photography shoots and models are always looking for great unique clothes. This tutorial is amazing. I'll be making these next week! Great job and I know I'll be keeping an eye out for your vids!
Very nice and simple. To make it even simpler, you could close the waistband with a box, and sew it right into the folded fabric, instead of leaving a little space to fiddle it in.
Salam sister, you created a very beautiful video. This weekend I plan to order my first sewing machine this weekend. Thank you a very clear video and inspiration to create.
I was on e-bay looking at some way cool wide leg pants made from patch work to panel inserts and I love them... However, they would take 5-6 weeks for me to get them...Then I had an idea - how hard can it be to make my own, hhhmmmm???... So I come across other videos that say " my are easy - so simple, etc..." I find yours and it is EASY & SIMPLE... Thank you for the post - I am so gonna be into this for the summer...
thank you for this vid. i have lymphedema in one leg & have to start making my own pants/long skirts to conceal it. someone even donated a sewing machine to me!!! these pants look very easy to make!
Hi, do you think I can use this method if I am using a silk fabric? it's not a thin silk fabric, but a thicker one but still very ¨hanging¨ or silky, if that makes sense. Also I didn't understand the ¨put your trousers inside¨part, felt like it went too fast. Can you explain in details. Would appreciate it!
As-Salaam Alaikum sis...I love your video! Thank you so much for doing them. I am looking to make these wide leg pants and would like to know how many yards of fabric was used.
Love your tutorial, I've got almost no sewing experience, but I definitely wanna try this one. Just one question: how do you get to work around the edges at the bottom side.. now you do that as last, but I'm afraid I'd get the fabric double while sewing. Would it be easier to do that first, even before starting to sew the pant-parts together?
As Salaam Alaikum, this is beautiful to see us Muslim African American sisters do your thing in fashion. My question is can I also do this with wool fabric and do you have a UA-cam tutorial about lining pants for the winter??? I would love to make some Palazzo pants for this fall and winter.
I just want to say thank you for being one of the few you-tubers that actually fully explain the steps in their DIYs. Your instructions are so clear and easy to understand and it gives me hope for future sewers.
Exactly!!!
I read sewers as sewers.
The very best part about your video is that you didn't leave any steps out at all. So many people make the assumption that others would just know how to do that they leave steps out. thank you very much for making a wonderful easy-to-follow video.

Great tutorial. Did you ever get around to making the advanced tutorial with the waistband and zipper? I'm really interested in seeing that one.
As-Salaam Alaikum sis...I love your video! Thank you so much for doing them. I am looking to make these wide leg pants and would like to know how many yards of fabric was used.
