Ahhh, what a great video! Amazing tree (considering it’s not a larch or portulacaria). Hilarious Emily in the background. Lovely Little Louie. And.. a Carnage Cam! Near perfection! 🤣😂🐦💙
Awesome Tree👍🏼 & I agree with you...the front that You chose shows-off waaay more movement.. I saw a huge Jabotica at a Nursery near me, & was amazed😍 at the fruit growing right from the Trunk.. Awesome species! 🏆
Beautiful tree, I love mine, grew it from a seedling, He's about 7 years old now. I prefer patio Bonsai so it's about 2 1/2 feet and I love its natural shape so much I've never shaped it as It's perfect to me. I'm afraid of losing it I think I would be afraid to mess with it too much lol.
I haven’t shown these trees. Our club never started up again after Covid. I’ve had my jaboticaba for 15 years. They are my favorite tropical, and one of my favorites overall. These will be 18” after some pruning. If I can figure out how to attach a photo, I will.
I have a 5 inch Jaboticaba bonsai . I want to keep it at 5 inches in height . Do you think it will ever fruit at that height? Or does it have to be taller to fruit?
During the winter in the cold tent I use liquid miracle grow at 1/2 strength every watering. In the spring when they move outside I use organic liquid fertilizer (cold pressed fish emulsion and kelp). When temps are consistently above 65f I start using Biogold- a slow release organic pellet.
Great tree!!
Thank you Nigel! Perhaps one day it shall fruit!

It’s like you made this video for me. I have two jaboticabas that need pruning now. Now I’m inspired. Yours is beautiful. Very graceful.
Are you going to show yours?!?! I love the Jaboticaba!
