On UA-cam many have been exposed for scandals, criminal activity, and degenerate behavior. You've all likely seen these obligatory "exposed" videos that populate the site. But what is more rare and infinitely more compelling are UA-cam's confession videos. Cases where UA-camrs or other individuals took to the site to confess IN THEIR OWN WORDS to questionable behavior and alleged criminal activity. In todays video, we will be taking a look at some of the most remarkable confessions uploaded to UA-cam.

The guy who confessed to a DUI had more moral character than anyone else in the video. He did something wrong, accepted complete responsibility for it, and is still to this day devoting his life to warding others away from the path he took.

@@Dante02d12I don't think it would have continued after if it weren't real to him. Dude strikes me as having a pure soul. Not perfect and not afraid to admit mistakes, learn from them, and even push others to realize the gravity of the situation.
I was more surprised at the length of his sentence because I've seen less for more... but who knows.
Either way dude came out of that with honor if nothing else.
In some cases the context makes it not even matter if it was initially "honest"... admitting such a thing with that kind of direct approach, real or not, is damning. And he knew this. Any "for show" really would have been beside the point, if not outright point *less.* As mentioned all the facts of the case would have already been inventoried at the point the video was made. At worst it is an unofficial "taking of the stand", but someone willing to do this simply wants to make sure the record is straight. You don't admit to something of this nature with full responsibility just to put on a show.
It serves him no real personal "utility" otherwise at this point to continue on either.
He made the decision, the event happened, he publicly admitted fault before being officially charged, the inevitable trial took place, the court decided, the time was served, and he was set free. He has the stain to deal with for the rest of his life but people who want to simply bury things don't keep them bubbling at the surface for everyone to see after the storm is over. Many people in his situation quietly tuck their tails between their legs, crawl under some rock they can find when they get out, lost with no sense of self, and figure out what the hell to do with what is left of their life. Many times returning on the same premise that earned round 1. Rinse and repeat until the system gets sick of it.
This guy is real. He turned it around and now continues to spread the lesson he has learned so others don't have to learn the same one the hard way as he did.
The original act isn't commendable. His response to the result is. Getting drunk and killing a man on the road is never a good thing. Taking full responsibility for your actions *always is.*

that dude has y'all minds wrapped around his finger. like someone else said, he obviously made that vid to lessen the shock that it would bring his followers so he would still be able to have a platform after he came outta jail. he's TRYING to make y'all think he's a good person and actually cares. if u seriously think he genuinely gives a damn abt that man he killed or his family, u must be delusional and stupid as hell.

damn ur trying real hard to defend a murderer here. crazy. how do u know he didn't just make that video so everyone would believe he's actually some kinda hero or someone who somehow regrets what they've done? he already knew the trial was going to take place and he was gonna get sentenced less than 10 years so he had nothing to lose. he just wanted to make sure he still had followers after he left jail, that's all. it doesn't matter if u take responsibility for what u did, it won't change the fact that u murdered an innocent man. u should feel more sorry and sympathy for the poor deceased man's family instead of a clout chasing murderer.

I feel so bad for Chrischan's mother. The poor woman sounds so confused and uncertain of everything she's saying. I just can't get over how much anger I feel towards this youtuber. Their mother was with them through everything and this is the thanks she gets for raising them.

So, your anger is absolutely justified, but I would very much suggest you look more into the history behind Chris Chan and Barbara. Barbara was an absolute horror of a mother and emotionally manipulated and abused Chris her whole life, especially as an adult. Up until the dementia she knew exactly what she was doing. After he husband died she made Chris share her bed and there are some other things going on that makes the situation far more complicated and not something that can be easily explained in a short segment of a video or in a comments section. Again, be angry, but know that there is far more to the situation than just Chris abusing Barbara (not that it makes what Chris did any less wrong and disgusting).

I can see why someone would have scrutinized his intentions back when the confession was uploaded, but the fact that he's still 'walking the walk' after 10 years says alot. I think it hits home with more people because the truth is that drinking and driving is something that alot of people have done, but very few would ever admit to. Bella's a scumbag, but Chris has a well-documented, 15-year history proving that he'll ONLY ever get "manipulated" into doing stuff that he's OK with doing, anyway.
For 15+ years, 3,978 trolls tried "manipulating" Chris into applying for jobs, but it never ONCE worked... Same with all the trolls "manipulating" Chris into taking responsibility for himself, moving out, treating others with respect, etc- In all THOSE cases, Chris showed he was happy to just ignore the troll, hang up the phone/turn off the PC, and walk away and play Legos... But when a troll was trying to "manipulate" Chris into some wierd sexual stuff, posting nudes, or farting on a cake on video, or shoving stuff up his butt... or banging his elderly, senile mother... suddenly NOW Chris loses all free will, and becomes a mindless zombie, who'll automatically do whatever someone else tells him like a robot?!?🤔🤔🤔 Hmmm... I wonder why he had such different reactions, depending what the trolls were trying to "manipulate" him into doing?
Bella's a disgusting lowlife. But in the end, Chris was a 38yo legal adult, who has proved over and over and over, that he ONLY ever does stuff he WANTS to do...

I'm a year late to this party, however, I have to say this..... as a man who had a mother that had dementia, what Chris has done is sickening and down right one of the lowest things a human being can do to another, let ALONE his mother. May HE rot for what HE has done if it all comes out that way. Those that are caring for those with that disease know what I mean when I say, this is a betrayal of the innocent in the most vial and incomprehensible way. I've heard of being desperate for the love of a person of the opposite sex or the love of another person, but that goes beyond what just can't be described. I just can't describe what I can't describe. So, Wavy, dude, if you ever get an update on what happened to this fella, let us know. I for one would like to know, especially if he spends the rest of his life in an institution which, in my opinion, is where he belongs.

But I do agree. She is in the late stages of dementia, not responsive as she used to be, unable to make complete sentences, trapped in your her mind not knowing what's going on. All of a sudden, the very monster she created that is "supposed to be her caretaker" decides to have his way with her, unable to do anything, and forget what happened, only to live it again every three days.

Also he can't decide today if what happened is something he's totally cool with and people are allowed to joke about, or if it, and I quote, "makes his wife and fans upset when they're reminded of that". DSP has been flipping back and forth on being okay with it and trying to monetize it, and banning people who mention it and going on near-crying rants of how it's been so many years, forget about it already.

The problem with the edp thing was that the methods they used were definitely entrapment. When trying to get someone charged for a crime they intended to commit rather than actually committing it, you have to ensure you aren't the instigator. They contacted him first and intentionally turned the conversation sexual. You can't do that. He has to turn the conversation sexual or there is too much question about whether or not he would have committed the crime without coaxing.

A woman who’s child was hit by a car in front of their school led the talk, and everything was really moving. I think that the video was a net positive coming at it from that lens, showing kids what happens when they drink and drive in a way that almost forces you to think of yourself as that guy who did it, yes it makes you empathize with him, but not in a way where you feel bad for him, in a way that makes you never want to put yourself in his position. He tried to hide it, Even got machinima to silence any word about his accident, And would ban any mention of it, Even to this day he gets annoyed at it being talked about, He claimed his wife would cry whenever she heard people in his stream bring it up, -200% not the way to handle it 🤣

By far the funniest aspect of his character is that he fumbles it every single time

I've had this theory for a while that if EDP saw someone had a camera and left without saying anything that he would have had a decent shot at continuing his channel like nothing happened. His problem is that the video went so ultra viral because of his reaction that UA-cam actually had to do something about it and he had no way of denying what happened.

    • @JillCheese
      @JillCheese Рік тому +14

Absolutely! He was exposed multiple times for nearly 2 year before the sting op. Multiple small UA-camrs kept exposing him, yet nothing was happening. I didn't know about it until the year before the viral vid.
A UA-cam who was showing basketball highlights or playing 2k or whatever made a vid of 3 EDP cases. He concluded (whether or not his conclusion was right) that 2 instances were faked messages (none of those were shown in this vid btw). However, he was appalled that the 3rd incident was a REAL CHILD- no sting op- and that one was the easiest to prove.
I was done with EDP after that, and it was a shame that us who would go in his comments to warn people were met with denial and hate. I'm glad he was exposed, but even if the sting op messed up royally by leaking his nudes and other things, there is plenty of evidence to show he is a danger to real children.
