The term Psychopathic or Sociopathic is often times misused.
A Psychopath is someone who is born without empathy while a sociopath is someone who develops the problem and doesn’t feel empathy.
It is extremely rare and I mean extremely rare for them to be murderer or serial killer contrary to popular belief. They just don’t feel any empathy. They can’t understand other people emotions though they are ways they can understand it by literally asking themselves how others feel.
Can they be violent yes but it is rare.
I think should understand this cause this can unnecessary societal pressure and very brash judgement and will solve the actual problems.

That's not so crazy as you think, many people survive shots to their head when they try to kill themselves. But this whole case is pretty fnckəd up.
I can understand that Daniel was upset and angry when his father took the copy of the game from him, but everything what happened afterwards, shows that Daniel is a psychopath and that he clearly lacks the ability to feel empathy for others.
The strategy of his attorney shows that some people are obviously not able to differentiate reality from fiction. In this case it's Daniel's attorney.
Who in his right mind would even think that people who are playing video games can't differentiate real deaths and real harm from deaths and harm in movies and video games?
I'm sorry for his Family (Including his father) but how the heck did he thought it would be a good idea to put the game in the same safe the gun was in is beyond me.

This particular city prides itself in numbers above all else. You can see it in the schools. Every student knows their high school's rank. Other schools will reject transfers if they fear you'll bring their average down. Almost every new resident is just flipping their house, so forget about having a relationship with neighbors. It's not a happy place. It's more of a business or a machine, and I wish it was discussed more.

Who cares if you dont get education (typing this while on my 4th year at uni which i honestly don't know why i even started at first place when i have 0% interest in it). I worked in mental health and disability services for a few years and had clients with traumatic brain injuries. Some of them had to learn to walk again, some even had to learn to talk again similar to some stroke victims. One of my clients couldn't look down, he could move his head to look forward, up and side to side but if he looked down he would lose control over his balance and fall to the ground, this happened several times a day. Other effects of brain injury included debilitating migraines, memory issues, changes in personality, poor inpulse control and problems with substance use because they either became addicted to pain meds due to their injuries or were using drugs/alcohol to help them cope. One more thing, of the clients I worked with, the majority had sustained their injuries in fights, usually outside the local pub or in car accidents where alcohol was a factor, due to my country having a culture of drinking heavily on the weekends. So I guess I'll just say to anyone reading this...PLEASE don't drink and drive, don't get into drunken brawls and if you absolutely must have a slap fight, do it safely!

But since my second incident, i feel like i'm actually dumb. I'm not all there, compared to how i was. My typing might seem fine, but, in reality, in real life, damn. I hate it. Everyone treats me like i'm some "retard".
Iv'e fallen twice, complete face plants into concrete. Iv'e two scars. On each eyebrow. The left, i'll still say to people I was spiked, and to this day, i really do think i was spiked that day. The second time however, was my own fault. I had drank a lot, and then smoked a Joint with a guy after. After that, ordered a taxi completey fine, he asked if it was ok to walk up to his house to collect some things, on the way up towards his house, i'd tripped over a metal pole and face planted head first. I came home blood all over my face, all over my pillow, everything.
Since that day, i just don't think iv'e been the same. I mean i was dumb as shit beforehand, but now, really, i think that reality became real. I hate it. I'm mainly coming towards you're first part of the comment of "not looking down". I can look down alright. But everything else. It seems warped in a sense. I would never do anything that the guy in the story did, but i could relate up until that point. Crazy fucking world

You too, huh? I had Power Rangers and Simpsons taken from me after my Mom’s friends told her they didn’t allow it in their houses and actually had all of my systems sold in middle school after my grades fell. Looking back it was kind of funny, my Mom had no idea what to do and I think she was just following trends that were successful with her friends but we were never “those kind of people” if that makes sense. They eventually bought us systems to replace the ones they sold when they realized I literally had no motivation to do better in school after they “sold the motivation”😂

I am in a good place now with my wife and job, but my entire childhood was spent under extreme pressure of overperforming in studies. Every single test was like life and death. If I didn't come in the top two positions, it was either beating with a rod, or other forms of physical abuse, almost torture. And it's not like my case was different. Most Indian/Asian parents are like this. Extremely abusive. I still have nightmares about it well into adulthood (31). I am sure this guy went through a similar horrible childhood at the hands of his parents. I am not saying what he did was right, it was equally horrible. But I understand where he comes from, this family issue is something most of the white people have trouble understanding.

Okay. As a college student who is a little less than honest when it comes to if I'm passing all my classes, yes it's a very hard thing to tell your parents and yes I'm too scared to do that. But I'm still trying my hardest to fix my mistakes so I DON'T put myself in an awkward position of dropping out or having it all come forward when it comes time for me to graduate. I dug my own hole, so I'm going to put in the effort to get out of it even if it means I have to spend more money than what I would've wanted to. I was going to go into debt no matter what, so I guess it's a trade off that I can live with. That being said.... This guy is not a coward. He's deranged and never should've even been allowed to get his hands on a weapon. He should've been going to a professional instead of going to the mall.... And I hate how he says, "I'm an atheist" as if that's somehow a valid explanation for his choices. I'm personally agnostic, but I have close friends who are atheists and would 1000% look at this and be absolutely mortified. Even if you don't believe in an afterlife, even if you don't subscribe to the idea of a higher power, it's pretty damn obvious that the fact that you even exist is an incredibly rare feat on its own and a second one of you is pretty much never going to happen ever again. You don't need to believe in a god, a heaven, or a hell to understand the basic idea that you should make the most of your life while you have it and no innocent person deserves to have their right to life taken away like that. It's so disturbing reading those messages.. It's disturbing to think there really are human beings who would be faster to grab a gun and kill someone out of impulse than they would to simply have what would've been a pretty common conversation (like dude you're not the first person in existence to flunk out of college) with their 'loved' ones.

The first case hits close to home, since I also did the same - skipping uni classes and lying to my mom about it, that is. I honestly didn't want to study anymore; every career didn't sound interesting, and I lost the drive to keep attending classes. I even changed uni once to try a different career elsewhere, but to no avail.
I ultimately confessed, though. The fact that I was lying to someone I loved dearly out of being unable to accept the shame eventually caught up with me, and it even made me consider... well, iykyk. My mom, although very obviously mad, forgave me and even cried a bit for what I was even considering to do to myself way back when. I'm blessed to having had the strength to actually own to my mistake, and that my family actually forgave me for it.

At one point when I was probably 8 or 9 I was HEAVILY addicted to a game called animal jam. I spent all day and night on it as much as I possibly could. It got to the point I didn't even take care of myself anymore. I wouldn't eat, shower, put clean clothes on nothing. My parents finally had enough after multiple warnings and took away my laptop until I started taking care of myself. I was really upset and I threw a tantrum but never once did I think about physically harming anyone or myself over it. Literally two hours after they took it away I realized how horrible I felt and took a shower then got some much needed sleep. I took up riding my bike outside for fun to get away from it. Taking the game away from a deranged kid isn't going to fix the issue, if anything it makes it worse. You have to have a long talk about why he confides in the game so much, construct boundaries with the child (not for the child, with them as equals) and get to the root of the issue. Cause clearly the game wasn't the problem, merely a symptom of his mental state being vulnerable. Without knowing just how strict his father was in regards to games and such we can't completely say what the issue was, but his addiction more than likely wasn't the crux of the problem. It was just the easiest thing to blame for it, and ultimately the results are there for everyone to see. The kid snapped and took his family's lives. I can't say whether or not it would've went different had they just done something else, but I certainly would've taken a different approach than just going nuclear and taking the game and banning it altogether.

Obviously I didn't do that last one, but if you keep running away from your problems instead of fixing them, you will only increase your problems until they become extremely complicated. That, and your situation is not actually as severe as you think it is. If you just come clean to everything, your family will still support you. In my case, I was caught, and I told them everything. bro look up general butt naked. He was an African warlord who did all kinds of completely deplorable stuff, and was then just forgiven by everyone after he had a "vision from god"

@@madkills10 Well General Butt Naked does regret his past actions as well so that may also play a part in it

You got the "menhaz" story off on several details. All his family members weren't dead by the time he started sharing pictures. In fact, several of the discord people were trying to save his father and sister in particular as they hadn't yet been murdered and he claimed he would kill them as soon as they got home. A lot of the effort they put into finding him occurred before his dad and sister were dead. Sadly they were unable to find him beforehand, but still... I feel these are important details that were left out.
