Love everything though the 6 speed having a slight offset is kinda awkward. I feel likeIm one gate to the right so relearning how to shift if that makes sense. Definitely love the feeling coupled with the new bushings.
@@cobbtuning would that then not be recommended for the WRX? I want to get the LGT Spec B but if it's going to hinder the cars performance should I stick with the other version?
It should fit. We haven't installed one on a newer Impreza but believe it should be compatible. Reach out to our Customer Service team at support@cobbtuning.com and we can help you figure out which one would fit.
Yes, we do have one that should fit the manual transmission SF Forester. www.cobbtuning.com/products/drivetrain/subaru-5-speed-tall-double-adjustable-short-throw-shifter-wide-barrel
Good question. The main difference is that the OEM short shifter is not adjustable either way. You just get one setting for the slightly shorter shift and no ability to change the height. Our shifter lets you adjust the full 25% range as much or little as desired. Also, the COBB Shifter when fully adjusted is even shorter in throw versus the OEM short shifter.
This specific one does not, the 2015+ WRXs use a different style shifter/cable linkage. www.cobbtuning.com/products/drivetrain/subaru-shift-plate-wrx-2015-2022
Hey there! If your car did not come with the factory short shifter option, you will need our "Wide" 5-speed shifter (linked below). You can always measure the barrel width just to make sure, though! www.cobbtuning.com/products/drivetrain/subaru-5-speed-double-adjustable-short-throw-shifter-wide-barrel Marshall@COBB
We have not confirmed fitment but are confident one of our configurations would work. If you give our Customer Support team a call we can help take some measurements and determine which of our 5-speed shifters would fit!

Anybody wondering, yes this fits on a 1st generation Impreza with zero issues.

Checked it out on the site, but I wonder what's the difference is LGT Spec B?
Our LGT Spec B shifter works just like the STI 6 speed but has different dimensions for the upper and lower pieces and the ball at the bottom.

I have a 2003 wrx with a legacy 6 speed transmission would this shifter fitt?

It fits, I have a '19 impreza, and if I remember right they use the same 5-speed as a 2005 legacy
Will this fit on an SF Forester?
Yes, we do have one that should fit the manual transmission SF Forester.

Will this work on the 2005 Subaru Forester 2.0X as well? I could not find that information online.
It worked on my GC so you should be good
A lot of these kinds of part fit the N/A variants as well, but it's good to ask for sure.

Unfortunately it will not because the 2020 WRX uses a different transmission design but we do sell a nice shift plate to produce similar results.
