Looks like you still had a pretty long throw. One of the first mods i did to my Bugeye WRX was installing a Subaru STI "short" shifter. 18 years later i installed the Cobb double adjustable shifter. Love the 2"/5 cm throws!
@@TheEddysGarage The fact that your WRX had the factory shifter (not the Subaru "short throw" shifter i installed shortly after buying my car) may account for some of the difference. Also, I had to trim the upper left corner of the metal surround plate to get the throw i wanted. Anyway, great to see you working on the car with your son but sorry you got rid of it so soon.
@@jukeboxzero1 Luckily a fried bought it and I have first dibs when he sells it. By then my son will be able to drive and it was half his to begin with :)
thx so much for this tutorial. I recently buy one like yours and i will install this short shifter because thanks your video, i can see how easy its will be and i won't brake anything xD. PLEASE, make more like these (explaining all littel details), and i am going to be tuned. I think the stock seats ( i have leather) is so much tall for a sporty driving. can something be done?
Lots of videos to come. I just replaced the shifter bushings with the Whiteline kit and it made a huge difference plus it is on sale now. I just did the front and rear brakes too. Can’t lower the seat unfortunately so an aftermarket seat like I put in my Porsche is the way to go.

@@TheEddysGarage the problem is, i see the base of the cobbs biggest than the oem, and i am scary from oversize the bushing of the car… jeje and this will not comeback to work

This was just to get rid of the shifter slop. It is the OEM shifter.
