    This is happening to me now. I did what Fr said. I studied well. Strengthened my Catholic Faith and ended up hated by my own Family and people around me because I stand with the teachings of the Church regarding Chastity particularly No sex before Marriage. I feel so alone sometimes. Channels like this is my consolation.

      Though my son doesn’t “hate” me for the reasons you listed above, he barely talks to me anymore. He says I make him uncomfortable and wishes I’d stop all the religious talk (he considers “too much” to be ANY mention whatsoever!). I told him it’s not me making him uncomfortable but the Holy Ghost. It’s why I keep working BASIC catechism info into conversations and praying, praying, praying for God to open his eyes, ears and mind to accept it.
      Nevertheless, Fr. Ripperger’s precautions to study the Faith and avoid being drawn into discussions “above our pay grade” are apt. If we’re going to talk about the Faith, we ought to know something of what we’re talking about. As for those areas above our ability for true expertise, we should be very hesitant to say anything. Regarding bringing the Faith to others, especially to family and friends, there’s nothing like face-to-face discussions to make a real difference.

      I believe this too, I-thank God for his sending his Mother Mary with messages so we can be prepared for this battle. I tell my family how many unborn babies have died at their parents choice. So maybe what we are going through could be God way of cleaning house. I’m trying to fast and pray rosary for our worlds sins.

    So many young people today are not wanting to abide by the church teachings because they want to pray to Jesus like the protestants do and they do not want to pray the rosary. I am a senior person and I say this because I am learning how hard it is to be a strong catholic, although I have always thought I was catholic, I missed out on so much growing up including a good church teaching. I pray that i can be a good student and learn how to be a good Christin and walk with the Lord in his truth and way.

      While I agree in general, there are women, good women, my mother being a good example, who find home duties too confining.
      My mother, who loved being out in the world, turned down jobs until I, the youngest, started school. Financially, in order for us to be educated in Catholic schools, she had to work. She made arrangements, in her first job, for us school going children to come to her place of work after school.

    Women should be home with their kids. Period.
    Im well formed in my faith and a pretty lady or so Im told. Never married. Any good devout single devout Catholic men out there, there are still good women out there.
    Im still single bc well, I made some mistakes before reverting back to the Catholic church. And its becone impossible to find Catholic men in my age grouo who follow the faith to the T.

      I am the true Mother of a God who is Son,
      And I am his daughter, although his Mother;
      He was born from eternity, and is my Son,
      I was born within time, and yet I am his Mother.
      He is my creator, and is my Son,
      I am his creation, and his mother;
      It was a divine marvel that my Son
      Was an eternal God, who had Me as his Mother.
      Our being is almost shared between Mother and Son
      Because the Mother received her existence from her Son,
      And the Son also received his existence from his Mother. If , then, the Son received his existence from his Mother,
      We either must say that the Son was stained by the Mother,
      Or we must say that the Mother is Immaculate.

    When a woman insists on staying home with the children, and tells her husband, 'That's what I expect - not to work outside the home' - it forces men to take total responsibility for supporting the family, instead of fobbing off more and more on the woman. It helps to make a man a man because he has no choice but to 'man up.' Young women should just test the very idea with a man they are getting serious about: 'What would you say to me being a stay--at=home wife and mother, not going outside to work?' If the man is totally against it, totally rejects it, BEWARE, because he's likely to resent it if you want to spend even more than a few weeks having maternity leave from your job. He's going to value your paycheck more than the formation of his kids by the woman he loves and respects and cherishes - and there's a lot wrong with that mentality. It suggests that he's also not going to be all that concerned about how his kids are raised - better to put them in nursery school or daycare or public school as soon as possible to keep getting that income.
    BUT there's a huge problem with women being able to do that, and it has to do with the fact that so many families are two-incomes and no kids or one or only two kids, that the market has inflated to such an extent that a one-salary family almost can't survive in today's world. Even though they save HUGE amounts of money because they aren't hiring other people to raise their kids, clean their homes, etc., and they aren't paying transport to and from work for the mother, etc., they still need two incomes to be able to afford to live or buy a home or pay the rent or afford Catholic school, etc. It takes a lot of commitment and talent on a woman's part to run a family frugally and prudently so the family can live decently on one salary.
    Look at San Francisco: just to get into the housing market there, at the 'entrance level,' you need to be able to commit to spending a million dollars on a house. So two gay professional men may be able to afford a house in San Francisco; a family of four with a blue-collar husband/father working to support the family on one salary has no chance. So all the traditional working-class neighborhoods in San Francisco are basically over, and middle- or working-class Catholic (or other) families simply can't afford to be one-income families with stay-at-home mothers.

      Great post. You've identified one of the key components of why capitalism, without true religion, will inevitably tear the family and society apart through the ever increasing polarization of incomes; i.e., the rich inevitably get richer, while the poor get poorer. Because democracy can only guarantee equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome, the middle class - the
      "Leave It to Beaver" families - will constantly shrink. Price's Law, Pareto distributions.... stuff like that.

    • @mariekatherine5238
      @mariekatherine5238 5 років тому +7

      Not in SF, LA, NY, most urban areas. If you want a one-income family, then Mom must home school and should expect to live at a much lower standard than either parent has grown up with. You'll have to jam into a trailer or tiny house, have very little clothing, toys, probably live off-grid. Either that, or Dad will be an occasional visitor because he's away working in the city.
      At age 38, I decided to remain single in the world since I'm not suitable for a religious and I did not find a husband.

      Very well put. In addition, boys are not raised to be men, and you end up having married what you thought was one but when facing challenges in life you discover that you have in front of you another” child” to raise. You are looked upon as their mother. Part of it I believe is that we tend to marry men about our own age, whom we meet in our classes in college and high school. Yet at the same age-minus few exceptions- men maturation lags behind that of women by about 5 years, so a Neuropathologist told me. I have experimented it and my daughter is going through the same.

    I wonder if I am the only woman who IS NO WHERE NEAR offended by the placement of women and men. I was such a feminist and with experience in the politics of schools I was graced to see that all Father Ripp says is more than 1000% correct. I can tell you, as a woman, that this is true and then some. The key is insecurity vs a sense of fearless security, which comes after true conversion and all the graces. By the way, these teachings are pretty in line with Father Malachi Martin from the 1990’s and other exorcist priests in Latin America who have also been preparing the flock. I speak fluent Spanish so I have been blessed to find their teachings. Thus far, they are all on point with no deviation. They say the same thing as Father Ripperger. I am sorry father other women took your teaching wrong. Maybe they have not lived the other side to its fullest like that administrator you mentioned who sounds somewhat like me. I recall the days of having to back up my words until I stopped because they were the one with the problem and didn’t care to entertain their whining and insecurity especially if I was fair and the damn experienced expert!!!!! I don’t consider myself an expert; my doctoral chair use to say this to me when I finished the publication; for now, “I only know that I don’t know…”

    Fr Rippenger speaks so much truth. I disagree however, when he says that knowing if a Pope is heretical is above the pay grade of all but a handful of people. I do appreciate that he goes on to suggest serious study and gives suggestions as to what to study.

    I am saddened I have relatives who contacted a psychic when her father died and her mother supports her daughter in this saying it was great and know that some don't support it but that they have no regrets. I am saddened as I tried to tell them the dangers of it but they said they don't believe that and have no regrets. The grandmother had great faith but has passed now. She would be so disappointed in her kids and grandkids :( Please pray for this world to convert and realize their wrongs!

    In the Book of the Devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, given by Jesus to Barnabas, an African teenager in the years of 1995 to 2003. There are prayers therein that apply to the salvation of souls. Some are prayers that Jesus said to HIS FATHER. It is an AWESOME small book!
    MAY THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST COVER US, SAVE US 🙏🩸🙏

    2020, we not only need to educate ourselves, we have to be our own priest, do our own sacraments, everything. I can’t get a priest for my 96 year old mother in the hospital. They won’t let anyone in. There’s been no Mass, no priest, nothing since March. The diocese closed our rented mission chapel and they aren’t letting the priest go into homes. At present, there is “public” mass once a month for eight people who must wear masks, sit five pews apart, forgo communion, make reservations, and submit their contact information. Oh, and anyone over age 60 or under 16, or with a health issue is not allowed! So I read the missal, try to find a mass on line, pray the a Rosary. All I can do is try to remain in a state of grace and pray the same for my mother because it looks like we will die without the help of the Church militant.

    Father I know you're right about knowledge, but honest to Mercy, how do we discern what is going on? I don't have a clue and I'm a college professor who does study. HELP!!!
    Also what puzzles me is this. As a young girl I was expected to excel in school and go to college which I did. So we do all this studying to stay home and cook and clean while the kids are at school. I didn't do that, but you're right. I should have felt comfortable relying on a man, but I never have.

    I think Father R can relate to Blaise Pascal. Blaise said, “ When I see a man with a lame leg, I feel sorry for him. But when I see someone with a lame mind, he irritates me. Because the man with a lame leg knows he’s limping. But the man with a lame mind thinks I’m limping.“

    I really had a hard time with this modernism. I grew up with priests who would always reference the Church doctrines in the homilies and confession advices. But now, homilies and priest guidance is always "based on their opinion" of the matter. Before, when you seek advice from the priest about some concerns about the Faith, you will get an answer based on the Cannon Law or the COTrent but now, they begin with "I think...".

    The best thing to do is pray the Holy Rosary daily as our Blessed Mother told us at Fatima in 1917 and have devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary - pray it with your family and spouses. Turn off all secular entertainment.
    Regarding prepping, God can spoil all of your can goods and water. Who would want to extend their natural life?

      Some ways of serving God are only accessible while on earth, just as some ways are only after life here. My time here is limited, my time in heaven is infinite. I must be a faithful steward of my time here and not waste it through laziness or apathy.

    Fr Ripperger, thank you for your teachings. Speaking of the Pope, who has the authority to one, declare that a Pope is in apostasy and who has the authority to declare a council nul and void? I have an opinion on the matter but I never heard a church teaching on the matter. The reason why I am asking the question is because there is a lot of talk on the matter. It is my understanding of the authentic prophecies in the Church is that apostasy at the very top is what we will face or maybe already in??? If the later part is wrong, please correct. Thank you and God bless.
