I have only converted to Catholicism this year, through a very profound and quite unexpected transformation. The Sunday school at my former (Protestant) church frequently sang an excruciatingly ghastly hymn by Graham Kendrick, called " I'm special because God has loved me.." It still makes me cringe. 😬
My mom used to remind us when we were little: only by God's will that we are human, if it's not for His will, we are only dirt. We never have the feeling of entitlement.
Don't forget though that you're also very valuable! To be loved means you're considered worthwhile, so to not be deserving of love and good things, far from implying we're worthless, actually shows we're valuable. This value is distinct from the idea of deserving or entitlement, and just because one lacks merit doesn't mean one isn't valuable in the higher sense - the sense of being loved and thought worth loving!
@@AbsurdScandal I know what you mean. I'm so special I had to listen three times in a row to this great talk. Now I can confess publicly this awful sin of pride. But I can still learn, after all I'm not wven sixty years old. Time to grow up.
"God forgive me a sinner, for I have never done anything good before Thee/But deliver me from the Evil One, and let Thy will be done in me/So I can open my unworthy mouth without condemnation, and praise Thy holy and majestic name all the days of my life/Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages, amen." - St. Markarios, common opening morning prayer for Eastern Cath/odox.
My Catholic brothers & sisters please pray that Olivia may have a change of heart on the Catholic Church & realize it’s Jesus’s true church. That she may repent from her sins & allow Jesus into her heart & allow me if God wills it
This talk was sheer brilliance. "There isn't a sin that I haven't heard from a better individual than you" almost took my body to the grave and my soul to meet Christ. I have wondered the exact same thing when it comes to the guardian angels and murmurs as you put it. Imagine the guardian angel of Joe Biden.
Imagine the demons infesting him, his vp, the Deep State, Congress, the Senate, the courts? I can hardly believe a court judge like the one presiding over the Kyle Rittenhouse trial exists in the courts anymore. He actually has the professional authority to tear apart the constitutional errors of the liberal prosecutors. A-MAZ- ing!!
Sometimes I wonder if when they do their Satanic rituals, they are promised by Satan than when they go to Hell, they won't suffer eternally but become Demons to torment other souls less evil than theirs. As we know, Satan makes a mockery of Gods kingdom, so you think they would promise the same to their human minions as God promises us seats in Heaven if we aspire to become saints by loving and self sacrificing ourselves. I mean, if they are that evil, it is only explained by their acknowledgment and embracing the dark side, then they would know there's a side of good yet they refuse to use their conscience to do good. They know there will be judgment, they must think they will continue their reign as leaders in the underworld... only to be lied by Satan once they receive their judgments
Imagine, all the dictators have had guardian angels. Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Stalin, Castro, Hussein...also the heretics. Henry VIII, Luther, et al...
Be yourself, as St. Catherine of Siena and Blessed Carlo Acutis advise, and I think even if you stand out (perhaps even for being more perfect or doing right when others don't), Jesus in His mercy, will move you somewhere better and put you in better society. It is nice to trust that that will occur. Sometimes it is not singularity making a person stand out.
I remember when St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta died, and the very simple few possessions she had, and thinking how awesome that was. I try to hold onto that, working at it every day. Praying for interior humility.
it's interesting how when you only have a few things it sorta makes them more significant. Say I die, and the only thing in my room other than my bed is a copy of El Cid. whoever finds it would probably think there's something significant about it.
She's a bad example, sadly. She loved the spotlight, took money from PUBLIC sinners and thieves: the Duvaliers of Haiti for example. She was also rightfully accused of diverting funds intended for the poor to the Vatican. She was a confessed ecumaniac and followed the Modernist cult of JPII. Conditions in her homes were not even sanitary, nuns were over-worked and underfed. She went to the Mayo Clinic for her healthcare and those who "benefited" from her "charity" were lucky to receive a Tylenol. Mother Teresa was in reality and effect, a neo-Catholic fraud.
To be honest: Listening to this speech I find it very liberating! It’s so wonderful that I cannot control it! It’s like in singing: If I try to control the high notes it won’t work! The only thing you can control a little it the breath support and that you give enough breath. Everything else you need to let go. You just have to trust. It’s really wonderful! The longer I sing and the more I listen to different homilies the more I see parallels between the work and development of the voice for lyrical singing and the spiritual development. It’s just daily little steps trusting your teacher and becoming more and more patient and realizing that there are so many other singers who are better than you. It’s humiliating and liberating at the same time!
St. Therese of Lisieux wrote about the differences in people by comparing people to flowers in her book Story of a Soul. Some are roses, with a beautiful scent and some are daisies, with no beautiful scent. Since God created the flowers, any differences are from God. We can only hope to live up to the Divine graces we are given.

Singularity come from pride and self-love. It's antidote is humility and being hidden, forgotten, despised, a holy hatred and contempt of self. The religious life is a great cure for singularity because there is no standing out in the crowd. Everyone does the same thing and looks the same. No name, no fame. This is why the Carthusians are buried with no grave stone, only a cross. Can't help but wonder whether Mr. Rogers contributed to the problem as discussed. To how many generations did he say "You're special"? My two cents. :)
I love honesty and truth, it’s refreshing like a breath of fresh air. We need more truth speakers in todays world. America has been overrun by the insane….. up is down, down is up types…
Wow, this video made me feel all warm and special inside.

Love this channel! God Bless!🙏❤
This is the first time I've heard Fr Ripperger mention 2 people by name in a form of detraction/belittlement. However true, but maybe its just me but I felt a subversive or worldly influence over him that I haven't heard before. Praying for him in his ministry, hanging out with demons is bad company.
Thank you, an important observation!
The will to power sticks only until somebody comes along with a bigger stick. Always trust in God above yourself.
LOL Really enjoyed those insights to grace, it made me laugh when Father Ripperger said,: "I always tell people, there is no sin that I havent heard from a better individual than you, get on with it!"
We are ALL special because we are made in the image of GOD.
Love Father R…
How do we hate our sins yet love ourselves? Guess I better get to confession.
Cool father very cool
An Amish couple in their buggy turns out of the lane after church. The wife turns to the husband and says, “Well, dear, I believe we were the plainest ones there!” The husband replies, “Ya, Mem, and with Gott’s help, it’ll stay that way.”
