I'm not a super patriot, and I'm not going to say that America is the "greatest country on the Earth" because it likely isn't. But the job of the U.S. President is definitely one of the most important just because of how much power the position has to influence global economics and diplomancy.

This administration took decisive action prior to the advancement of COVID-19 and this partisan hack Trevor Noah back in January acted like Trump was overreacting with the virus. Then you need a partisan spin like CNN to change their mind. The majority of Americans Approve of how Trump has handled the coronavirus, and the media has flip-flopped more than anyone can imagine in these past few months.

Christmas Lore The electoral college was created with the best of intentions: they feared that a tyrant would sway the popular vote and gain power legally (which, of course, had happened in Europe at the time). The purpose was to have educated people that looked at the trends within their state and decided which was the best way to cast their vote-and to ensure that no foreign political power could interfere with the election. It was also put in place in order to ensure that the bigger states will not overrule the smaller states-they could not have expected that people would leave the smaller states en masse giving the smaller states a frankly unfair advantage over the majority of the population. The founding fathers thought people were too stupid to make such enormous choices-and they were not far off.
Our previous election was an anomaly because not only did we have money corrupting the electoral college we also had a foreign power interfering with our elections. So basically everything the electoral college was supposed to protect us against happened BECAUSE of the electoral college.

Oh my GAWD. That pilot analogy is so on point. I was on a 12-hour flight 3 months ago and experienced the WORST turbulence I've ever experienced. THAT SHIT FELT LIKE I HAD A WASHING MACHINE AGITATING ON HIGH SPEED IN MY STOMACH.
