I appreciate you breaking down a bit more Zera, I saw Sixx's video last week and I kind of got the grasp of it but he mentioned as well he was making mistakes on some bosses. Keep on rocking man, glad to be apart of the 1k even tho I dont really interact, once again thanx for the vids
Hey mate, Hit for 2hander yellow attacks is the same as hit with ranged weapons, So long as your hit is obtained by +hit on gear and not from the scope, you won't miss. Parry can not occur behind the mob so hit from behind if you can. (parry is 14% for bosses). Vael is a great fight to melee weave on as you suffer pushback with aimed shot so raptor strikes value in comparison is greater then an average fight.
yo, thanks for the tip mate. I spoke to Sixx about it and he's confident that hit cap isn't necessary, but I"ll have it soon with ZG's release and the upcoming enchants. So pumped to try that out!
hey man hoping ur able to see this, and im sure youve answered it hundreds of times, but how do you see your cooldown timers on the screen? ur aimshot, multi, all those boxes above your map/shot timer bar. wondering what addon that is? cant seem to figure it out
great video thanks. i have been trying to melee the past couple weeks, and i find there are a lot of moments where i couldn't take advantage of melee weave because i either had a tranq shot coming up i needed to be ranged for, or my rapid fire being available etc. the fights just dont last very long so its hard. when it works it works absolutely and its pretty clear when it does.
yea there's a lot of learning curves to hit, but thankfully my guild doesn't completely delete bosses LOL. so I can actually get a couple raptor strikes in there a time or two.
not for range, you'd still want to dual wield a variety of weapons with the +15 Agility on it. Barbarous Blade is amazing for entry level weaving, but I'd just wait for Kandi honestly, that's what I did and I don't regret it.
Honestly, the calculator shows it's an improvement, and what makes sense to me is that it allows you the ability to weave without clipping your shots at all. it's the only thing that makes sense. Testing tonight.
Ive been trying this out for a few weeks now. Starting to learn what bosses its worth doing on and which you should avoid doing it on. I dont have ashkandi though, but im next in line for it. The Lok'Delar hits pretty hard too. Auto > Aimed > Auto > Multi > Raptor [Repeat] =)
again, like I said, it was going to be "rough". Swapping out Eye is something I had to learn as I went, by the time I got to Golemagg, it had been cleaned up :D
@Zera Thank you for sharing this video with us. I have dual-wield. One handed axe and a dagger and I also have the Ashjre'thul Crossbow of Smiting. Is it still good to start using melee weaving? I have one more extra question: "can you link me your talent build you use for running raids (like MC and BWL). Do you use one talent build? Or different ones. Thanks for answering my question. I like your video's. Keep them coming man. You are inspiring to all "new" hunters out there, like myself. I am totally new to this scene. Happy hunting to you too.
Steeben009 it’s all good mate. My talents are listed in the discord. I run 17/31/3 currently. I don’t change them for anything. To me that’s just a waste of gold honestly. I have actually a bunch of talent variations within the discord. In case you want a different take than my own. As for melee weaving. You can always start at any point. I personally would think long and hard though before committing to it. There’s a lot to learn with it in certain fights and it can be frustrating at times. Lol
Hey man. Great video and grats on the weapons. So for Vael and Firemaw, you can build a fire resist set just for those fights so melee weave and parsing becomes viable. The fire stacks reset before reaching 4 with 250+ fire resist. Vael you could use greater fire pre pot and use fire resist gear. Totally doable bud. Gl2u
Melee weaving with Rhok is doable. But I chose, for example, to wait until I had both Ashes. It just made sense to me since I never did melee weaving in the past, b/c it feels far less punishing to me. But, yes, weaving with Rhok is totally doable.
You should defenetly try it with 20% speed Swiftness of Zanza. As for me, I'll make separate 8 yard Wickaura warning for raid only. IMHO try not to jump. In some cases you can waist alot of time. It's like wasting time without multishoop macro. You can shoot right after you stop, but if you are jumped - sorry :) It's realy painful not to jump, it's a part of the game. But it's a solid rotation after all, not a jump stooting. About Lok'Delar, it has some deviation in rotation. So only 5 of 6 circles of rotation would be stable. You can notice it in some periods of fight, then your Multi and Aimed ready in same time. Ashjre'thul don't have such problem because of it's 3.40 speed. PS. I'm only a theory man :) and don't have Ashkandi yet. But all warriors in my raid looted it already.
I been lvl 60 for a few months now almost pre raid BIS. I can’t find a damn guild that will take me on a raid. I haven’t done 1 MC yet. I’m at the point I’m ready to pay real life money for gear. Either that or I am going to quit and go back to retail.
bro what server are you on? I bet if you hope in my discord bro you will find some folks willing to roll with you mate. Hope in there and ask around. Happy Hunting man, I sure hope things get better for you!
I was on Mankrik, the moved to Bloodsail Buccaneers, because my friend said he had the hook ups. I’m was waitlisted, so now I’m looking at other PVP servers to move too. I rerolled a horde hunter on Sulfuras. I should be 60 on him in a week or so.
Tony Manero well good luck mate. Like I said. Feel free to ask for assistance in the discord. I’m sure somebody in there can help you out. Or at least hang out with you in game.
@@SaltyZera actually when simmed it ends up being within a couple points of DPS, and with a lucky proc/windfury it would be well better than Royal Seal
@@Dimarzioish Yea, but it's all dependent on procs, and alliance don't have windfury lol. So we're at a disadvantage there. However, I did overlook the fact that HoJ does have +20 Attack Power, which isn't too bad, so you're only losing 28 AP total for a chance to proc a few extra melee strikes. I'd say they're likely even, but I still think Horde has the edge there. Love this! This is why I love this community! :D
I'm super keen to try some melee weaving, but with my role in raid (making calls and watching what everyone else is doing) i think it's too much to concentrate on. How much responsibility do you have in the raid? Maybe i will just have to work even harder to make sure i stay at the top of those meters, for now. And from one salty sea dog to another, keep up the good work brother.
I'm the main puller and pacemaker for our guild. However, in boss fights, it's all on the Raid Leader. So I can just sit back and enjoy the ride actually :D fair winds my friend!
If you lose one Aimed shot it’s not worth it imo. Plus my autos crit for over 1k and can’t be dodged, so it’s not even worth the chance of missing an auto with it. Maybe... maaaybe, if you already have a 99% parse normally on a fight you can try it to see if you can squeeze more out of a fight where there’s not much more to achieve on, but otherwise, especially with the Xbow you should focus on getting as many autos/aimeds out in a fight as possible. It’s a lot harder than rhok since it’s easy to clip autos to maximize aimed uptime and you have to switch to clipped rotation when imp hawk procs
you don't lose any of that with Ashjre'thul, and even with Rhok'delar, you still gain more damage. Remember, Raptor Strike can/will average out to nearly 1k damage if specced properly, which I have yet to do. I will have over a 50% crit chance with Raptor Strike. Your DPS and mine are nearly identical in a lot of ways in the Logs. You're slightly higher in BWL, I'm higher in MC. We would both benefit from weaving my friend. But I understand if you choose not to pursue it. It's really a matter of preference. Happy Hunting, and thanks for the comments.
I don't think any of that's even remotely true. I think it's for those Hunters who want something different, fun and exciting. No offense, mate, but you sound kinda like a salty warrior over losing Ashkandi :D lol
N YI I didn’t say anything about min maxing bro. Lol. Melee weaving is a far cry from that. If I was min maxing then I’d be fully consumed and farming Juju’s and other things. I’d be having priests bubble my pets and a whole bunch of other things. Like having full FR sets for Firemaw and blah blah blah. I agree. Min maxing is overly exhausting. But don’t judge a book by its first page homie. LOL
Melee weaving is not min maxing it's just players trying to utilize their class in the way they enjoy too. Why do people always want to dictate what players should or shouldn't do? This is something top hunters have been doing for years! Keep on kicking ass Zera!!

Range dps wise, isnt barborous blade from DM:N better? I wonder what the difference is like with weaving due to mele dps increase with ashkandi
not for range, you'd still want to dual wield a variety of weapons with the +15 Agility on it. Barbarous Blade is amazing for entry level weaving, but I'd just wait for Kandi honestly, that's what I did and I don't regret it.
Can anyone explain what real benefit a 13% would have ? Is it literally just the fact your shots will be slower giving you a larger window to weave
Honestly, the calculator shows it's an improvement, and what makes sense to me is that it allows you the ability to weave without clipping your shots at all. it's the only thing that makes sense. Testing tonight.
Awesome bro, looking forward to the verdict!
Currently level 47 on my troll hunter that you inspired me to make, thank you for these great videos!
Man, that's awesome! Thanks for that, I feel blessed that I've been able to inspire you. Keep up the charge mate! Happy hunting! :D
Could you give a advise about pvp, What si the best T1 or T2?
Noticing you have counter and mongoose in your macro - Are you speced 20 into Survival? DO you not do more DPS with a pet and 20 into BM ?
no, I am not specced into Survival. This is only there so that you never have to add them in the future if you decide to spec that way.
Thanks for delivering!
always mate, every tuesday! :D

indeed, I mean the rotation gets a little bit hazy as time goes on, but early into it, that's basically it mate. you nailed it!
Imagine an Ashkandi actually dropping after 5 months...
why aren't you switching devilsaur eye after use ?
again, like I said, it was going to be "rough". Swapping out Eye is something I had to learn as I went, by the time I got to Golemagg, it had been cleaned up :D
I was testing and as soon as you switch off devilsaur eye you lose the buff from it.
Im pretty sure he meant switch 20 sec after use.
