I have been using 2H fury for quite a while now. I love it, fun to play and the damage is great when played right. Plus 99% of other warriors care about NOTHING except for their dual wielding so less competition for 2 handed drops
Très bonne vidéo ! C'est précis, le montage est impeccable, les explications sont top. Ça fais du bien de voir autre chose que du DualW, congrats mate !
This is the stuff! Also, a tip on the rotation for anyone interested: if you pop a bt or ww near the end of the swing timer, bear in mind the 1,5 sec global will cut into the slam at the start of next swing. I cant count how many times Ive spammed the slam button only to get halfway into the swing timer before it casts, making it inefficient. Better then to wait for next swing and get the timing right. And if youve got rage to spare you can turn the current swing into a heroic strike. Its really a flow one has to get into. When youre juggling bt, ww and slam succesfully it just feels awesome, and youll be right up there with the best on the meters!
It's a nice video but you may have missed an important point, slam does produce a global cooldown. That means even if you have 5/5 imp slam, you still have to wait 0.5 sec before you can perform another action. On your suggested rotation you chain 2 slams (sometimes 3) one after another, that is poor usage of your imp slam in my opinion. One second after your first slam your auto swing restarts, 0.5 after that you are resetting it again with a second slam pretty much reducing the effectiveness of 5/5 slam in half. If you are going to chain slams, improved slam is not really useful and I would not recommend doing it unless you have windfury + HoJ + Sword spec. In this situation you would have 27% chance to proc an extra attack potentially allowing you to sustain rage even spamming slams (or at least for longer).
Been playing 2h Orc all of classic. Usualy just spamming hamsting inbetween BT/WW and queuing HS when i have excess rage. Poping Overpower on proc. Just copied my character to the test realm to try this out. Turns out i can do a steady +100dps from my normal rotation using slam instead of hamstring. (Without world buffs. I imagine slam would scale more then hamsring with them). Will for sure try this out on next raid. Very fun rotation to play!
@@tatari6627 Got new DPS records on 3 fights using this. Messed up the rotation a few times and fucked my melee swing but still managed to do a 90% with 1200 DPS on patchwerk for example. It's alot harder than just spamming Hamstring/Heroic Strike as fillers but WAY more fun and the potential DPS is higher!
Question tatari... i don't play was arms in vanilla never did but since slam reset swing ins't better Slam after white atk then Bloodtrist/wirlwind while ur white atack is in middle of swing then when white hit lands u slam. Ins't this a better version?
Excellent video! I think you missed an opportunity to mention how INSANELY good Slam is in PvP. With a proper stun you don't even need imp slam, however I have been using imp slam and its really powerful. Rotation for most possible damage in shortest time is Int>HS>SL>BT or MS>WW. This can be done with about 90 rage, however I find myself working slam in after any AA when im not taking hits and the enemy is still for a moment. Works well too with mace spec stun.
Hello, thank you for your guide. When I try to install weak aura swing timer, it alerts to me : Alert!! 'Swing - Init Action' has triggered Luacheck alerts that should be reviewed. Is this embarrassing ?
@Tatati In tbc, have you considered a spec going down in Arms to grab Death Wish + Sword Spec + dumping all the rest in Fury and using 2 1-handed swords? There is a loss of Imp. Berserker Stance + Rampage, but the potential for a high burst in short fights.
Is this build viable as a fresh 60 warrior in a guild starting from scratch (the fresh crusade server)? Or will DW perform substantially better in the basic pre-raid gear? 1handers will be more contested, so it would be nice to get dips on the early 2handers. Anyone in particular that performs better than others in the early stages?
Back when we were in MC/BWL we had a Fury Warrior attempt 2H Fury on Alliance and it was not successful. It seems like you need to pass a certain level of crit to help with rage generation in order keep the rotation flowing. Video is showing how fun the spec can be after you essentially beat the game. Love to see it because I played quite a bit if Arms in ZG and AQ20 and big 2H hits are fun as heck.
Question For a 2h fury or a arms spec Could be viable use a higher dos but faster weapon for autoattacks And swap to a slower but lower dos (but higher damage) just to use mortal strike/slam/WW (and swap to the faster but higher dps after using them for autoattacks)
I'm trying to learn this spec in blasted lands, but when I chain 2 slams after a white hit like you have been I find my rage is completely sapped and I cannot preform the next abilities. Is this due to the nature of where I'm practicing or am I doing something wrong?
if ur having trouble with weapon swing timers i usually am doing it after my characters animation. or if i hear the twack sound. long as the main stuff is on cd its safe to assume i can slam
i've wanted to do this for so long, did it back in P1 with BRE, changed to DW with cts, now i've had first prio on MoM since naxx release, but the mace just refuses to drop
If you can get your hands on an Ashbringer instead then that's a decent option. Not to mention but it's also better for TBC release (since sword spec is a significant dps increase).
How do you value execute versus the Whirlwind? I know that bloodthirst is better damage than execute at over 2000 AP, How does that Translate for 2h whirlwind?
Execute has optimal damage per rage when activating at it's minimum cost. With a Slam build you would typically just continue the normal rotation and use the last GCD of the fight to cast Execute. This is becasue both Bloodthrist and Slam have better damage per rage than execute at 2000+AP and 30+ rage. Since you typically get 30 or more rage per white swing, just stick to the normal rotation. One other option is weapon swithing to dual wield during and execute phase. Have a read through: bookdown.org/marrowwar/marrow_compendium/abilities.html#execswitch).
It’s almost like a hunters rotation in tbc . The 2-3 macro. Auto shot then random choice multi shot and then again with arcane with steady shot weaved in . Warriors melee swing random cast mortal strike and whirlwind, slam when both are on cd and auto swing has reset .
Say you aren't world buffed, you are rage starved, first auto hit gives you just enough for a BT, do you cast a slam just after next auto hits or do you prioritize WW?
Sure. So both rotations are fairly fine for either race. The min-maxing for Horde here though is that within that rotation (of 4-5 hits) you have a significant chance to get a windfury proc, generating enough rage to immediately cast BT/WW once off the GCD from the second Slam. Now the downside here is that Heroic Strike is less damage than Slam, but you have the potential to ensure perfect 6s/10s rotations for BT/WW, rather than clipping their cooldowns within the 3rd Slam cast.
So, BC prepatch just came out, I switched my warrior from pure arms/fury 31/20 to kind of a messy mishmash of fury and arms (leaning toward arms for weapon specialization). I'm finding it muuuch easier to grind out stuff.. I'm not geared, and my warrior just hit 53 last night, but I can see this spec being so much better for leveling in BC compared to the other two main skills. charge, swing donk donk donk swing squitch, swing ded.
Hello, nice clip, I love it ! I have look for other sources of information before watching this video but most of them tell to use slam every swing then alterate with BT and WW. So my question is how did you get the rotation you show : BT > WW > SLAM x2 (or 3) ?
Hey Tatari ! I was wondering if you think we can find a way to make that spec viable on SoD Phase 2 ? I believe with the new runes and stuff it's possible !
Great video dude, a lot of talk about GCD and improved slam. To clarify is improved slam really only meant to improve single use slams (not chains) since on a 1.4 sec (or less) cast chained with another on a 1.5 sec GCD makes it harmful to dps when those talents can be spent elsewhere? (Obviously in-game both in/out of raids single use and chains will come as a mixed bag but just asking for the sake of clarification, ty)
Im gonna go with Orc 2H Fury Hamstring. I cant be bothered to compete with 20 other warriors on Dual Wield weapons :DD. Only annoying thing is always gotta have WF when farming preBis.
A fellow 2H Slam Guy : You do not change the rotation, since the Slam Rotation does more dmg compared to spamming Execute at 20% As a 2H Fury, you do not have "unlimited" rage like a dw fury, so spamming execute might make poor in terms of rage But the last hit on the boss can then be an execute, since afterwards you do not need any additional rage so dump it all and hope for a nice crit with execute

Based on your current rotation wouldn't it be more useful to only have two points into an improved slam because a 1-second cast is faster than GCD. I would think you'd be better off is 5% in two-handed spec. Just thought that you should try it out, although I'm sure the difference isn't much though. otherwise cool video :D edit I guess you would have to have at least 4 points into it for bloodthirst.
So on my warrior, I've been wanting to try out slam spec, but unfortunately MoM is actually fairly contested in my guild and I've yet to get one yet, so my best 2hers available are CoUM or DEoI. As a human warrior, would the weapon skill for CoUM outway the dps and extra stats on DEoI, or if I run 9% hit as opposed to 6% would DEoI be the better choice?

Would you then be kind and paste it in, and quickly explain why? Would highly appreciate it :)
Great vid. Question though I am sure I am going to get ridiculed by people but what are we looking for gear wise? I assume there no reason to go over the hit cap like a DWing Fury warrior because of crit cap
Amazing video Tatari! I'm maining a Night elf , but do you think this can only work on Human because of the racial? Thanks for answering and keep up the videos! :)
I have a question is slam spec or hamstring spec better for horde, ive heard really mixed opinions and only play 2h fury so it would be good to know whats best
I only play alliance so cant speak from experience, but I think hamstring is superior in most cases. Slam is easier to mess up, and hard to pull off in movement heavy fights. That said, I find the idea about spamming a cc ability and rely on someone elses ability to proc really unsatisfying. So Id go for slam just because its fun and still extremely viable
slam definitely, especially for horde. The only reason you are casting hamstring is to proc a windfury swing. Doing slam is doing exactly the same thing, except causing huge damage in the process instead of doing shitty hamstring damage. You will proc windfury with slam just like how you will proc windfury with hamstring, except slam is actually doing damage. However, this is all under the consideration that slam procs windfury, I don't see why it wouldn't proc windfury.
@@jacque3427 you also assume a perfect slam rotation, which is...not realistic. Hamstring you can just spam willy nilly while moving and not lose any auto attacks. Slam requires you to watch your swing timer, manage your gcds so as not to clip the timer and your abilities, and you have to be stationary. I play slam spec myself and its very awkward on all other fights than tank n spank.
I only included a small note at 6:40. Typically since both Bloodthrist and Slam have better damage per rage at high AP/Rage values and the inability to spam Execute (due to slow weapon swing times) it's normal to simply continue the standard rotation and then use your last GCD of the fight to Execute.
This may feel better to play when batching is removed. The batching delay on slam cast definitely adds up. I moved to the 3 points in heroic strike build after playing slam for a long time. Felt better for those moments when you are playing your rage close to the chest trying to squeeze a little more damage out. Only problem with Heroic Strike build is not being able to dump rage fast enough. Got screwed by glancing blows a lot with Slam. That's just the joy of playing a warrior though!
too many people write off 2H slam spec as being trash because it isnt meta, or think its the same as mortal strike with the debuff problems it has. honestly i think this is the way to go for people running imp Demo shout for reck, plus it allows people to get items easier, and less competition for gressil/TCH
yo man, love the video; I am horde and hence have Warchief’s Blessing; I’m orc with Severance; therefore, my attack speed is like 2,6; does that change anything?
If you want to have some fun then sure. The inability to get +skill will hurt you on lvl63+ monsters however, so if you want top performance then just stick with DW and get yourself +5 skill.
Hey Tatari! Really helpful video! Any solid weapon swing timer addon? I love 2h fury, playing for a month on Alliance side and going to finally try slam (just got MoM)
about the piercing howl, back at lich king the other feral of my guild was wandering why i always have more dps and activites, i always answered that's i'm running survival instinct. he never ask how it does more dps and always was like, yeah yeah ok. yeah buddy i'm tanking shit that's we should not, but keep that useless point (improve mangle if i remember from the top tier raiding build) u will get soooooooo much more dps out of it. ppl seems to forgot that utility is not pvp exclusive, it's just not used the same way because u don't look for the same goal.
Been playing this spec for over a year now, and have enjoyed it very much. My rotation is slightly different, but the result is the same. Even with the attack speed of 3.4, I would still recommend BRE over Ashkandi or any other twohander except DEI, Ashbringer or MoM though, because of the armour piercing proc, which ups up your damage output by up to around 20%. The piercing proc uptime is very high (which makes you ignore 700, 1400 or 2100 armour, depending on the number of procs you trigger within 15sec) simply due to the high number of attacks you make thanks to the combination of Flurry of Blows and Slam. Great video!
Since parsing is on bosses, and bosses end up with near-zero armor in guilds that use improved expose armour and such, the benefit of things like badge of the swarmguard and BRE are lost I'm afraid.
Hi man, did u ever try an hybrid spec ? I mean, is it playable if u go for Sweeping strikes + sword spec in Arms tree + Death Wish in Fury ? Exemple of spec : www.wowisclassic.com/en/talent-calculator/warrior/E223QxmmG-87bLZEUW-/
with this mace u can also do a PVP2HFury/arms with no MS and Bt> but with death wish and sweeping strikes and it will be awesome. u can do any u wana as this weapon is not from this game))))))
I'm an orc warrior and I like using 2h swords (bite me). I have ashkandi and BRE and no matter how many times I sim it, Ash always comes out on top. I want to know if I'm running slam spec, should I run Ashkandi? Is BRE better on Naxx mobs because of their higher armor?
Only wow-fury-sim can sim slamspec and bre proc. And in this sim BRE is way better then ashcandy. It may Look different if your raid uses imp. expose armor.
Your tank is moving Grobbulus way too much than is necessary. Almost looks like they're intentionally trying to run it away from melee lol. The only time you need to move Grobbulus is when he shits out the poison otherwise there's no reason to.
going 4 battle 3 cleave 3 improved 2 h is by far the highest dps build you can possibly have as two handed fury. You will out aoe AQ/ZG DW warriors as pre raid BiS and will be only a few steps behind them in boss dps. Never execute in aoe always save for WW or Cleave only execute when 2 or less.
It is absolutely applicable to TBC; the point is not that in TBC you have a modified, MS > Slam > WW > Slam > Flex rotation, it's that many players have been playing fury non-stop and seeing if they actually enjoy using a Slam style skill is the real testing point.
Would you rather have a 0.5 slam or a instant slam with 10s cd? I'm playing on some server with a custom talent tree that allows me to do that. for ref: hawaiisa.github.io/vanillaplus-talent-calculator/#/ Was wondering if bloodthirst (costs 40 rage on this) is worth or just going mortal strike (possible) with slam. ty

Amazing video Tatari! I'm maining a Night elf , but do you think this can only work on Human because of the racial?
Thanks for answering and keep up the videos! :)
where have you been bro, you playing tbc?
what addons do you use for your UI and combat text?
yes pliz i want know your addons list and set up pliz mate
I play slam spec myself and its very awkward on all other fights than tank n spank.
you didn't mention execute. didn't use it if you are above 2k AP?
I only included a small note at 6:40. Typically since both Bloodthrist and Slam have better damage per rage at high AP/Rage values and the inability to spam Execute (due to slow weapon swing times) it's normal to simply continue the standard rotation and then use your last GCD of the fight to Execute.
Yo Tatari I’ve been playing 2h fury in wow som, it’s way more fun than 1h. I just wanna ask if you have a Bis load out for gear I can look at.
why would u use talents on parry?
This is just a personal preference. If you parry an attack it resets your swing timer, so it's like a weak HoJ. I find it more useful for solo play.
really mate cool guide but pliz can u show us your UI ?
How good will this be on Horde side? since WF etc etc
Pretty similar, but they Windfury and more metacultist community :D
holy cow, solid video
RIP poor chicken
This may feel better to play when batching is removed. The batching delay on slam cast definitely adds up. I moved to the 3 points in heroic strike build after playing slam for a long time. Felt better for those moments when you are playing your rage close to the chest trying to squeeze a little more damage out. Only problem with Heroic Strike build is not being able to dump rage fast enough. Got screwed by glancing blows a lot with Slam. That's just the joy of playing a warrior though!
Awesome explanation
this is epic
too many people write off 2H slam spec as being trash because it isnt meta, or think its the same as mortal strike with the debuff problems it has. honestly i think this is the way to go for people running imp Demo shout for reck, plus it allows people to get items easier, and less competition for gressil/TCH
yo man, love the video; I am horde and hence have Warchief’s Blessing; I’m orc with Severance; therefore, my attack speed is like 2,6; does that change anything?
Would u recommend it to a gnome?
If you want to have some fun then sure. The inability to get +skill will hurt you on lvl63+ monsters however, so if you want top performance then just stick with DW and get yourself +5 skill.
Hey Tatari! Really helpful video! Any solid weapon swing timer addon? I love 2h fury, playing for a month on Alliance side and going to finally try slam (just got MoM)
What is your gear?
about the piercing howl, back at lich king the other feral of my guild was wandering why i always have more dps and activites, i always answered that's i'm running survival instinct. he never ask how it does more dps and always was like, yeah yeah ok. yeah buddy i'm tanking shit that's we should not, but keep that useless point (improve mangle if i remember from the top tier raiding build) u will get soooooooo much more dps out of it. ppl seems to forgot that utility is not pvp exclusive, it's just not used the same way because u don't look for the same goal.
Great video! Subbed and looking forward to some tbc min-maxing
Tyvm! this was really helpful.
Hi man, did u ever try an hybrid spec ?
I mean, is it playable if u go for Sweeping strikes + sword spec in Arms tree + Death Wish in Fury ?
Exemple of spec : www.wowisclassic.com/en/talent-calculator/warrior/E223QxmmG-87bLZEUW-/
share your skills weakaura pls
Awesome video!
with this mace u can also do a PVP2HFury/arms with no MS and Bt> but with death wish and sweeping strikes and it will be awesome. u can do any u wana as this weapon is not from this game))))))
Come on and slam... and welcome to the jam....
This is a generic comment
@@clonger204 Inspirational.. .bonk that stonk!
Yessss
I wish you break down Warrior in patch 4.3.4 like this
Warrs today: has a spreadsheet for every ability in the game
Warrs before: bloodthirst go brrrrrr
OMG I thought that it's only me who sees cleave as a parrot! :Hahaha
It may Look different if your raid uses imp. expose armor.
bis man
Aye the legend!
Your tank is moving Grobbulus way too much than is necessary. Almost looks like they're intentionally trying to run it away from melee lol. The only time you need to move Grobbulus is when he shits out the poison otherwise there's no reason to.
Im excited for pre patch to watch 2h fury with MoM out dps 1h
You made me play classic again
Damn big crits! I wanna see a vid with dmf buff next week! My warrior only has severance as a human :/ don’t think I’mma be doin as much as you Lol
Sunderwire he has DMF in every Naxx clip
@@Katalowins yeah but this upcoming dmf week i mean, im sure he has better gear/knowledge of the fights now for even bigger numbers :D
Also the animation is hilarious
going 4 battle 3 cleave 3 improved 2 h is by far the highest dps build you can possibly have as two handed fury. You will out aoe AQ/ZG DW warriors as pre raid BiS and will be only a few steps behind them in boss dps. Never execute in aoe always save for WW or Cleave only execute when 2 or less.
Let’s see more classes
this is completely not applicable to TBC. In TBC slam is on the global cooldown so you can't perform the rotation where you chain slam
It is absolutely applicable to TBC; the point is not that in TBC you have a modified, MS > Slam > WW > Slam > Flex rotation, it's that many players have been playing fury non-stop and seeing if they actually enjoy using a Slam style skill is the real testing point.
Slam is on global on classic too.
Can also practice in front of gnomer
Would you rather have a 0.5 slam or a instant slam with 10s cd? I'm playing on some server with a custom talent tree that allows me to do that.

Was wondering if bloodthirst (costs 40 rage on this) is worth or just going mortal strike (possible) with slam.
ty
lol why are u kiting mobs on gluth ?
