Brother, just stumbled across your Saddlesore, and got it up on the flatscreen. You did it right, loved that you left just after 2am, so that the latter part of the journey when fatigue starts to set in, that most of that riding is done in the daylight. Next, you gotta knock out the 2,000 mile SaddleSore in under 48 hours!! Not too many video that run, would be so cool to do… can earn three patches at the same time in that one…. 1,000 mile patch under 24 hours, 1,500 mile patch under 36 hours, and 2,000 mi patch under 48 hours, in one epic ride! And it looks like you got a new bike, so win on two different bikes!

Bro, way to be strategic with riding away from the sun. Covered a lot of ground in the morning and while it’s dark. You’re more fresh then but I’ve noticed riding in that dark we gotta keep our speed down for all the alcohol related drives, the wildlife everywhere. You nailed it bro. I commend you on your endurance, that was a long day. Roughly from first fill-up to last fill-up was 21 hours and 56 minutes! That computes to an average speed of 49.71 for 1090.3 miles. That is not actual travel time (riding time) because I don't really know that number? Does your GPS phone travel app record that information for you? What app did you use?
Twelve gas stops computed to $158.94 for fuel for the 1090.3 miles. That averages to approximately 14.5776 cents per mile. Going by ten recorded receipts that I could actually use for data calculation, you averaged 28.467183 mpg.

I just stumbled on your channel. It is refreshing to see someone with a Japanese cruiser like me. I have a Yamaha road star 1700cc. HDs are overpriced and unreliable. Japanese cruisers on the other hand are bulletproof😂

Fastest 1000 mile ride I ever did was 14 hours. To do 71.42 MPH average one must greatly exceed the speed limit. We cruised around 100-120 MPH on Goldwings. We got lucky. No tickets.
