Rourke a freaking awesome personality and a quintessential actor that has been kicked around by Hollywood because He did not conform One of the greatest and nobody can take that away from him.
Hollywood is so narcissistic they think everyone wants to be part of that life and will compromise themselves to do so Mickey said no he would rather get his face ruined then let them exploit his looks and soul he went back but on his own terms.
Yup he’s not into Hollywood junk he’s a true talent that’s not into lying to get what he wants but there were some really good acting roles in some really good movies that he turned down yet he is about being true to himself and no compromising equals rebellion to those stuck up Directors and Producers😮it’s sometimes about Hollywood politics and not about quality and that’s what ticks Mickey off but he’s learned to do the job asked of him and humbled himself over the years,❤Good for him and his career ❤I’m proud of him for this!😊
@@perfectshave85 Yes he has. The Friday Night with Jonathan Ross (2005) interview is quite a good one too, you can see that Johnathan is a genuine fan. ua-cam.com/video/09p86c2iZwE/v-deo.html
Rourke is the most charismatic man. To this day my heart strings just really I can’t even imagine. I think it’s that little bad boy hotter than the innocense he projects I know he’s a man but honey what a grand looking man mmmmm
You can tell Rourke really likes Graham. Not sure why, but it could be because Rourke is a non nonsense guy, and hates false people, and as we all know Graham os the real deal. Theres no pretentious fake smiles or arse kissing from Graham, hes just as is... So its 2 genuine guys just having fun without any masks.. what you see is what you get..
Mickey looks and sounds pretty good here. I guess he's around 51. So did he get plastic surgery after this? Because it wasn't long after this his appearance drastically changed.
Hi, I recorded it on VHS back in the day, but I only kept this Mickey segment when I transferred it to edit. Sorry I don't have the full original footage/VHS tape anymore.
My mind boggles I do not understand what he did with the surgery I just do not get it and the boxing damage is crap , he has had such weird weird plastic surgery , but why ????????
He said his nose was broken twice and he had five surgeries on it. He also crushed one of his cheekbones which was repaired. He said he went to the wrong Dr. to have it done. He’s aware that he didn’t do a good job.
He'll take that answer with him to the grave. Could be insecurities, could be addiction, could be the boxing (though that's BS if you ask me since he got many surgeries long after his boxing career was over) or it could even be boredom. Whatever the case, he's nearing 70 and i would have loved to see what he looked like today if he had aged naturally. Funny enough he still keeps the rest of his body in shape. It's just the face that is damaged beyond repair.
Yeah, I agree. I have seen almost every interview Mickey has done and I just stumbled upon this one. This is about 9 years after he stopped boxing and he looks great......like an older version of The Pope of Greenwich Village days. My guess is he was embarrassed after getting bad plastic surgery and blamed it on the boxing injuries and no one disputes it. He likely got more when his career got revived after The Wrestler because after that his face started to look really distorted. Plus I guess he is losing his hair hence the awful rug he now sports. I too wish he had left his face alone. He fucked up his voice also with his extreme cigarette addiction. I hope he gets another great role before Hollywood retires him for good as he's just doing crappy B movies now.

He's Brando level.
He was also a bit of an asshole and he will tell you that himself, dissing the likes of De Niro.
watch him bring his cup out... yea !!! lol

He's so hot!!
♥️
He liege really had his old face back. Yet, he had more surgery after the wrestler
If he stops here… he probably doesn’t age so bad.
He looked good here. I wish he had stopped the surgery here

Just wondering do you have the rest of this episode? My dad was an audience member who came onto stage and we're trying to find the clip :)
if not do you remember where you found this clip at all?

I agree. He should of never started it. He was so handsome
he boxed for 4 years, almost every bone in his face was busted up in 90's , had the surgeries then,
