Mickey Rourke is an Excellent actor with exceptional talent who has suffered and overcame an incredible painful ( mental and physical ) upbringing. He is an honest and real raw human being with a good heart and is one of the best actors of all time.
Absolutely…not many admit they need a mechanic for their cars a lot because of the way they drive. Yet that’s exactly why a ton of people need mechanics a lot of the time. His honesty and humbleness is charming.
Great interview. Probably one of the last times Mickey tried to play ball with the 'establishment'. I would say by 2014 he pretty much just resorted to doing money-job movies and just living the way he wants to.
@czizzi33 Agreed. Or he never really changed and just wanted to get back into making good money again. He was blatantly telling the press he did The Immortals for the money, that he couldn't wait to go home, that he wanted his stunt double to do all the work etc. Did he really lose his therapist? I don't think he is represented by David Unger anymore either, David probably bailed after Mickey started taking any role offered to him.
Mickey's a hell of a goddamn actor; he can act the living shit out of a script he hasn't read or doesn't understand and make actors with higher pedigrees than him look like understudies. Yet he's still got all this pain and baggage that he barely seems to keep it together. I don't understand how that talent and failure go hand-in-hand.
Thank you for the interview. Rourke is one of my favourite anti-heroes. SFX in the Immortals look mind -blowing but Mickey seems to be absent. Great content as usual.
Glad you enjoyed the interview. I really liked Immortals and thought Mickey was really good in it. If you like the style of the film check out ‘The Fall’ and ‘The Cell’ by the same director Tarsem Singh. Thanks for watching.
I just thought it odd that in the trailer I could not pick Mickey out once. Thanks for the suggestions on the other movies. I just wonder where one can go to to get the movies? You have good eye for the offbeat and I enjoy your work.
@@geraldfleming2810 I do buy a lot of movies and watch Netflix and Prime. You’re right Mickey isn’t in the trailer a great deal, but he is there 14:48 15:26(although he’s almost unrecognisable with the beard and hair)
It's interesting to contrast this with his appearance on Letterman in 1994. He was sweet, but a bit anxious on that show, but seemed much more outgoing and confident on Jimmy.
Just too painful to watch with the dark glasses! We know why the glasses are on! Just so very very very sad. Happy he can still support himself. Poor man, I can’t imagine the pain he goes through every single day. I don’t know how Kimmel did this interview. Used to be the most beautiful man alive!

Love him. He had terrible upbringing and proved himself in so many things boxing, movies and all. He can ride a horse like the best.
Да, талантливый человек, талантлив во всём. Микки интересный разносторонний человек и отличный актёр. 🤜👊
"No just an after party, cause we had a lot of shit to do today" LMAO
Eric Robert's said now that Mickeys face has relaxed he looks like himself again. I agree! Wonder if he had reconstructive surgery?
We need more Mhickeys

Johnny Handsome and a Prayer for the Dying 😎👍
When Mickey Rourke was young, him and Bruce Willis were a little bit lookalike, but now that he's old, him Axl Rose are like brothers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

ALWAYS A COOL DRESSER
Look great brother
Mickey rocks he’s the real deal the older the better I don’t like his movies when he was young he makes the best now 😎🇺🇸✌🏽
Yes
Bahaha badass 🤣🤣😎🤘
so who was it that gave him a lift?
50 Cent gave him a lift. They starred together in the film 13 (2010)
Gah, I was looking for the Rourke/Kimmel interview where Mickey says he didn't really like Diner.

@@CoolCityCactus Thank you!
Did he ever make the movie about the rugby player?
No, the movie about the Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas never got made
Wow how Kimmel became a joke, forgot it went this far back. Great guest for an interview, just throws softballs.

Used to be the most beautiful man alive!
How superficial of u
Kimmel as usual has his chair screwed up a foot taller than his guest. Whats up with that? Short man syndrome?
Little man syndrome. Little, petty, small.

That film was never made.
Doesn't he mean a Chinese doctor who's gay? Lol
I never saw the movie was it any good
How can you enjoy the guests when Kimmel has his mouth running, what a jerk.
He's a rugby player who's gay
I met a gay Chinese doctor
00:53 Maybe he just wanted to be funny, but I think that is exactley the reason, why Mikey Rourke acted in so many bad movies!
Homeboy
Lonestar
Year of the dragon
Wild orchid
