so i was doing the dumbbell pullovers and was not really feeling the connection...so, since they were hex dumbbells, i pushed them together and did the pullovers, i felt it much less in my shoulders and tri's and felt that it activated my lats much more, felt the mind/muscle connection more anyway

First day impressions:It arrived in a waist high box. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 Each dumbbell was in its own foam box within the shipping box. Everything was secure and in good shape. No weird smells. The weight changing mechanism is really smooth and straight forward. Changing weight is really fast and easy. Though the handle is plastic, I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon. So far pretty impressed after my first session with them. I was afraid they were going to be too wide at first, but I didn't have any issues with them while doing upright rows.

Dude, I gotta say your videos have re-kickstarted my muscle growth in a serious way! I'm 51 and have been training hard for a little over two years following a serious leg break that cost me most of the (little) mass I had. Since then, I had a period of great gains and then a long plateau. Since I've started working in your dumbbell-only exercises for higher reps - forgetting that silly 8-12 rep range and focusing on muscle failure at a lighter weight, I've legit gained about 10 new pounds of muscle mass in just the past few months. Overall, I've gone from 175 to 195 lbs, with no increase in body fat, and hitting new personal bests almost every day. Keep posting these great variations.. and is it really wrong if my 60 lb DBs are pink? 😜 You da man!

I'm glad I found this video. I'm 41, and I have thoracic disk damage & arthritis. The results of years spent in the Army and heavy body armor for long periods of time. It's not nearly as bad as I understand Lumbar disc issues can be, as my ribs hold the thoracic area more still, but none the less, when I go particularly heavy, I feel PAIN. I also had a hip injury, and a shoulder injury. It adds up. Now I try staying in shape, but there is so much information out there saying "YoU gOt To LiFt TeH HEEEVY WEEEIGHT 2 mAkE tEh GANES". Sure, that's great if you haven't been through the meat grinder. Pull ups are ok, but things like bent over rows and deadlifts & squats I have to keep fairly light. I can get a hell of a pump with 25 - 50 pound dumbbells.

There's research and evidence that shows, doing same movement over and over does not give any benefits. But you're right, they so not have brains, however the body works a lot smarter than you think. By either shocking bu lower the weight for a week or as well switching up, the muscle fibers have to work differently and by doing so, more stimulation and growth.

Great videos,I would really like to see some dumbbell exercises for the chest, for those of us that only have dumbbells and no bench.

Of course we can, it takes up half the screen.

Love your videos man. Short. To the point. Informative. And for more advanced lifters they are perfect but I got my fiancé to watch this video to help her and she said she wished you would show the movement before you explained it then again after. Just a thought.

Man I’ve been applying a lot of the principals from your video to my workouts and been reaping the rewards but one issue I have is muscle imbalance from left to right. Any way to get a video on correcting a muscle imbalance.

Another great video! Thank you. You are absolutely correct, some of the equipment at the gym may be okay but they often times target the wrong muscle group. Need to alter my workouts and use much more dumbbells. Thanks again!
