Yeah lol. Idk what he's thinking, maybe he wants to appeal to newbies at the gym? He never really showed any main compound movements when he does a video on a bodypart. At least put a farmers walk to overload smh

Over the last couple of months I've try to forget everything I thought I knew about weightlifting and employ your philosophy of mind/muscle connection and it is really starting to show. I'm using lighter weights, and am less sore and feel like leaps and bounds of ground covered. Thank you!

The number one mistake in bodybuilding today is overdeveloped traps. Everyone wants wide shoulders and a small waiste. The V-taper. Overdeveloped traps makes your shoulders look smaller. Your traps will already get enough work indirectly. If you need the bring the traps up just a little bit try barbell shrugs in front and behind you (your traps are behind you)on the Smith machine slow controlled full range of motion. Works great for me. I do agree with everything Ryan says here. Solid channel , no bs straight to the point and also clear explanation of the why you have to do a certain exercise. Awesome stuff.

I completely agree about the aesthetics of the traps. Personally I've never been into the massive neck look. Also, I think the lower part of the traps are actually more functional overall because of the assistance they give to many other lifts, like bench, row, and OHP. The shrugging movement itself--which seems to yield the thick neck aesthetic--doesn't seem like it has nearly as much functional carryover.

I like Ryan a lot. What does Ryan have that none of us usually have? An empty gym. There is always this pressure to get our sets done and move along. Slow down. Be mindful. Let each rep be its own event. Close your eyes (when safe) and use your kinesthetic sense and proprioception to take control of which muscles are producing force and which ones are dormant. Practice.

I'm convinced that you should create and application that breaks down all your knowledge with mini movement clips that show how to properly do them. I for 1 would love to be able to grab certain routines of yours, save them in a favorites section, and focus on those for 6 weeks before changing them up. There are some already that you can research, but I'm positive that your knowledge and movements will take it to a whole other level. I'm 6ft 4in and bench 415. Been the same for a long time. Started following your routines and focusing on all the mind muscle connection, lighter weights, higher slower reps, etc... I'm seeing changes much quicker than being that asshole throwing around a shit ton of weight at low reps. I'm very grateful for you sharing all these videos and tell everyone about you. Thanks again, take care.
