I was lucky enough to see them at The Roadmender in Northampton, England in 1989. They did the first album in order. Tickets were £3.50 each. It's still probably the best gig I've ever been to and I'm 50 now.
I saw the Pixies at the Roadmender in 87! Some great bands played there before they got massive.
My neighbour just passed away this song was played at his funeral he loved stones as do I 💖💖 fly high up there Jason lad I will miss you but I will never forget you!! 💖💖

How did so much talent and intelligence just suddenly apear on the music scene in the late 80s from mainly northern groups , waterfall for me is one of the most beautifully written songs of all time , a sad lyrical theme telling just how hard it is to change your stars, but that sympathetic and joyous melodic rhythm is so uplifting , it makes it seem possible . GK on it.
