    I follow you on Instagram, but I've just recently started watching your videos and I just want to say: you are so knowledgeable! Not only do you post beautiful vegan food and emit positive energy all over your Insta, but you are so incredibly smart. That's so attractive to meat-eaters when you know exactly what you're talking about, and not just harping on them about animal cruelty.

    Your videos have inspired me so much to eat healthier. I've been vegetarian for three days now and in such a short amount of time I've noticed how clear my skin is getting. Thank you so much!!

      I used to have irritated skin (especially red and bobbly cheeks) and ever since I became a vegetarian (and decreased my dairy intake) it went away! I've been a vegetarian since 3 years now and I've never struggled or craved meat or fish. Good luck! x

    I'm currently still working on my undergrad (near Pittsburgh!) and my days are typically busy.
    I'd love to see a "what I eat in a day" for a busy school day.
    When I don't have leftovers or don't feel like making something, I usually will just have a chik'n patty and I'd like to find something that I could make that is super easy and not time consuming.

    Ah, I bought blackstrap molasses but keep forgetting about it! Also, i'd love a video on how you make your sauerkraut! I moved to China a year ago and I'm trying to incorporate ALL the probiotic foods. I tried making kimchi a while back, but it got moldy too quickly.
    ALSO, I'd love a video on how you make your beans in your pressure cooker! That'd be so helpful cause I just got one and feel a little overwhelmed!

      In Sweden we like to have chokladbollar (chocolate balls) as dessert and oats are one of the main ingredients, maybe you could try making it but with dates instead of butter? It tastes the same but it's much better for you. And of course there's no need for sugar because the dates makes it sweet enough :)

    • @ken.dietitian
      @ken.dietitian 8 років тому +3

      Blend up 1cup oats with about 6-8 dates, a spoonful of cocoa, and other flavours like coconut, walnuts, or 1/2 a banana. Pulse it in your blender and add a splash of water or almond milk. Keep blending until it's sticky. You can eat it with a spoon or roll it into balls!

    • @clyin3892
      @clyin3892 8 років тому +3

      Equal parts of oat and dates + some other flavours (coconut, nuts and seeds, raisin, citrus, syrup, etc), blend tgt and u got a rawnola! Or try this : 100g dates, 3/4 cup rolled oats, 2 tbs peanut butter or peanut flour, 2-3 tbs water depends on the gooeyness of ur dates, blend everything together and roll into cute lil bliss ball 🙂 i just discovered this recipe few days ago and I ate almost everything by myself (just so goooooood)

    • @magdalenaarias3753

      A good thing you can do for breakfast is have instant oats, they are easy, quick, healthy and vegan, top it with berries, peanut butter and maple syrup and you have the perfect breakfast. For lunch you can always do pb and j. Also hummus veggie sandwiches without the deli meat are easy. For dinner, as long as you have some sort of bean, broccoli, soy product or nut/seed you should be fine with your protein. Base your meals around whatever your mom is already cooking and dont make them to complicated, hope this helps :)

    I also listened to a podcast a while ago. The rough summary of what I heard was that our gut microbiomes are very complex and not fully understood yet, meaning that no one really knows which probiotics are actually beneficial and that consuming some of them could therefore even have a negative effect. In addition, they said that each person's gut is different, based on their genes, age, environmental factors, etc., making it even more complicated to determine what a particular person might need. It's been a while since I listened to it though, so here's a link, in case I'm misquoting: soundcloud.com/inquiringminds/76-jonathan-eisen-the-tiny-world-of-microbes-inside-you

    • @eaglenoimoto
      @eaglenoimoto 8 років тому +3

      Other German here... Lots of organic shops in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as Eastern Europe have recently started doing purple sauerkraut, which is prepared exactly the same as the German standard white one ;)

    • @loganvonrochow5831
      @loganvonrochow5831 7 років тому

      Derp Ina (I know this is an old comment but..) Danish person here! This is actually not rotkohl (rødkål in danish). It is sauerkraut if it is prepared like white sauerkraut is. Many people use purple/red cabbage for sauerkraut. It is often just based on what color they want (and also, purple cabbage has a few different nutrients than white/green cabbage.)
