  • This video is to demonstrate how to remove an ignition Lock Cylinder out of an 2006 Impala with no key. This procedure can be done on a few different makes and models of GM Production.

    What is that black box around the key hole? that's what I i need replaced with the wires that come out the bottom right

      That module has many different names. Immobilizer Reader is the most common

      That is actually a broken single pin pick that I filed down to use for that purpose only.

      Quick question, please do you know how to decode a lock without using a lishi or buying a key code, I mean from the wafers ? Thanks a lot

      @@Hustle5 normally the wafers are stamped with a number.

    Hello I'm in hel,I had to drill my entire cylinder out because I didn't see your vid an was stupid,I drilled 3 quarter of the cylinder out I drill past the release pin theirs still a little bit of cylinder I can turn cylinder but the vehicle theft comes on also the wire that's attached to cylinder housing behind release hole I broke it its two little I think green wires on a weird plastic clip spring when I pulled pug out of housin I see a hole that's all I see an a spring was in the hole I think but theirs two wires one is still in the plastic an the other is loose free wire both not attached to anything can I start the car if I get the rest of cylinder out without the security anti thrift coming on ,or are those wires the problem pleasehelp 08 impala

      08 Chevy Impala I have key fob an key but the key would lock up an I got stuck out of town so thought I could remove cylinder right quick an get hom I'm still stuck five hundred mile I would appreciate your help in question above thanks,wish I saw your video becaus I saw that flat little peace you were talkin about beat it out with screw driver drilled the rest made a mess
