having a heatstroke for sure! those specimens were only cool next to the rest of the drabness they were found in lol I absolutely enjoy your videos. your candor is refreshing and fun and I love tagging along
I always bring a spray bottle of water with me and I prefer to hunt a couple days after it rain's! You should check out North Carolina too! Amethysts, Emeralds, Tourmaline etc... Can be discovered there! I would love to find Opal's! I'm in San Diego
I used to live there and the locals pick the crap out of the crystals there! I would go up to south end of the lake as much as possible heres a clue for you nate bring a boat next time and go were no one else can go if you want nice crystal! And go when the lake is low like sept oct! A food for thought you need a buddy system just in ase something ever goes wrong!
I lived in colusa ca came to Orville once to quartz hunt but I didn't know what to look for . I love your u tube shows on rocks and crystals hunting.i moved to the central valley (Fresno CA) I need to know where to go look for crystals
How exhausting! Have you been down to the Little Town of Washington in the Sierra Nevada foothills? On the Yuba River? I dug up some nice specimens there.
I love quartz! We just found a spot on our horse trail but I did manage to bring back a rock that took two of us to carry it has a huge open cavern of crystals but we wanna break it open and see if it goes through but idk how been working with that pick you have this rock is hard as rock haha 😂 literally!
How about the gold? Looking for any? I think you should take some of that quartz vein material home, crush it and pan it. I bet you'd find some GOLD! Be careful out there and don't get heat stroke! Some really beautiful pieces of clear quartz, by the way.😉
I know a secret locals spot where the crystals are as large as skulls! In fact we call it Skull Beach! I will share location with you...but its really confusing to get there.
@@Mystical_Momo Michigan Bluff is the nearest town to it. It's way way way down in the canyon where a creek runs down side of canyon and becomes flat before the next drop. There a swimminghole we used to go to up stream from it called Vertigo.
If your ever out in Lake Havasu Arizona let me know I don’t know many spots but I’m sure you just by looking can find amazing spots I’ve tried the geology map shows nothing here haha
Rob Ochtera ,thanks , glad to share the experience, I'll look you up if I end up near you. you do the same if you head this way or want locals on any spots I go. good luck out there!

What do you use to clean up your crystals...they look so clean...
you can use citric acid or oxcilic acid.
Planning on going to visit California, could you tell me where this place is?
