Yep beautiful area especially during rainy season. Such beautiful flowers! There is also common opal, lots of various Jasper's and agates lots of semi precious stones in the area, I used to hunt that area, love those crystals!
Im about 5 miles away from that peak, drive right up to the peak , it appeared you had a Toyota Tocomer, also a great area to find perfect arrowheads, also 2 miles west is a hot springs, but you do have to hike in. Well , I'm gald you had a field day :) Yes, freedom In this neck of the woods is nice. While you're out there pick some Indian Tea. Thank Mother Earth, we have a total of four peaks, your last find looks like a frog man. You need a walking stick with a rake on the end. Hope to see you around someday.
Hey! My boyfriend and I just went there last weekend! Got a tip from one of the claim owners where to dig. If you just dig a few inches below the surface especially in the parking/camping (where you parked) area you can find fully terminated Crystals. We actually found a smokey scepter and a terminated citrine point! And just lots of little crystals!! Have fun... we plan on going back soon!!
That is such a great area. I'll be heading up there in a week or so being I live only 20 miles from it. I'll post a video of what I can find. I just wish I had even a smigen of your knowledge of the geology of things. Great video, I can't hardly wait to see the next part! Thanks for sharing!
Emmy and I got stormed and flooded out of there last year, so we didn’t have time to find much. It was our last stop after Davis Creek where we gathered lots of nice Mahogany Obsidian. The Desert Dog has since relocated, to Reno. The rattlesnakes are plentiful this year. I miss CA, but NV is a “new world”’for us. Glad to see you still out exploring and questing, man.
wow , I was thinking, you were out in Colorado or I would've said hi, I was in Reno two nights, I'm heading back up soon it was a nice spot, and I should have stayed there bit longer, I'm in Alabama for a week and then back to the west, talk to you soon!
Quest for Details When you make it back up here, let me know. I’m still exploring my new home, but I would love to dig that mountainside with you. Or if you ever get stuck and need a hand, a fellow explorer is here to help! Alabama sounds interesting. So much to explore and tons of history. Have fun!!
I went to Davis creek last year and got about 25 lbs of rainbow. The year before, we just didn't walk far enough and gathered the obsidian that had gray layers. We learned. Got some nice pieces.
Beautiful day, wow how wonderful is that instant when your eye catches the natural faceted edges.? It's an interesting little name for a mountain... my heart smiles when I find amazing things! Thanks for sharing your journey, experience and knowledge with us!
I'm feeling the same way. A little confined and restricted here. Good for you doing what you need for your soul! I'm loving this trip and holding my breath waiting for each find! Also, commend you on your respect for Mother Earth by covering your holes and thanking the Mountain! Quest on! Hey, can we buy a sticker like you have on your truck?
Used to enjoy trolling the other diggers at Crystal Peak by Reno. I have some REALLY nice crystal specimens I bought at a rock shop I'd keep in my pocket. After digging as much as I felt like doing for the day, I'd slip that one out, "pull it from the dirt", and proclaim "I'm done for the day" while waving it in the air. Then, while leaving, watch all the other hounds moving over to where I was digging.
Thank you for yet another adventure. Living in a rural Australian town that is so flat, no Mountains, hills or rocks for hundreds of miles. With the reddest sandy soil. Ahhh one day lol :)
Nice area to go exploring! I was up mountains yesterday bouncing the Hubby around in the truck. Our sagebrush and soil looked like what you were in. The roads were rougher then what you were on, had to have 4wd to get through ruts and over basalt rocks in the roadway. Thanks for taking us along and CONGRATULATIONS on 20K!!! 👍 🎆✨🎉
You found a great area. The overcast skies were a blessing. Last week I was in the high desert east of San Diego and it was sunny and in the 90’s. In that heat you need to be careful.
OMG.... that's exactly where me and my dad go. they live right off red rock rd.about 15-20 minutes away. I love it u went the exact places.... aahhhh memories
falling back in love with the big open spaces again, something pure and unchangeable about them , got to check out hit a GPAA claim on my way home also, it was a great trip, thanks for watching And Commenting : ) , stay strong !
I was wondering if you were going to run into a snake sooner or later, and you did. But I'm like Indiana Jones, I hate snakes; they give me the willies. Even have had nightmares about them. Once I was fishing at a lake, sitting on my bucket, very intently concentrating on my plastic worm in the water. I happen to look to my left, and sitting on a !og not 4 feet away is this big yellow and white snake. I reeled in and vacated that spot so fast, like it was on fire! lol You're much braver then me in that regard. Another great vid, looking forward to the next part.
Bom dia lindo lugar to assistindo para ver os tesouros ,,,,, cobra está e perigosa cuidado que linda flor este lugar e mesmo rico show ótimo vídeo com letras pedras sucesso like 1000
This is beautiful but a little too out doorsy for me. I would be scared of all the creatures. Those are some pretty crystals you found. I’m a little bit envious. Lucky guy.
Majority of the time if you are making enough noise the critters will flee the area to get away from you. Snakes will hide under brush, rocks or if a rattlesnake make noise to warn you that you're getting too close. The ones that catch me are the lizards or horned toads, lil farts move pretty darn fast when they want to. Or they'll sit and watch the nutty human from a perch, while you look for the pretties on the ground. 😀
SareJen Yeah, I’m petrified of snakes. If I had someone who was knowledgeable about an area to go with I wouldn’t be as scared but would never do this on my own. I’m city born and bred so this is scary to me.
Hallelujah Junction, we couldn't find a thing last time. Not like 30 yrs ago. Never saw a snake there. Camped right under those trees. I guess we are too picky.
Just curious, are those clear glasslike stones crystals or diamonds? We dont have anything like that in Malaysia that i know of. Enjoyed your video. Tammy🌻
They are likely quartz crystal and clear amethyst, according to his statement at the beginning of the mountain. Yellowish are likely citrine, and smokey quartz.
@@rebeccaofsunnybrookefarm8469 thankyou for taking the time to reply. Appreciate it. I have just been exposed to rockhounding via watching your videos. Really really interesting. God bless! Tammy🌻
I’m going to Ely NV for Labor Day weekend to Garnet Hill and would love to look for quartz Crystals at Hallelujah Mountain on my way home down Hwy 395. Do you have coordinates for where you filmed this video that you could share with me? Thank you, Brandon

And the rattlesnakes don’t always rattle.
I also love the underwater videos!

That White tuffa !!!!! Is that what the Native Americans use to carve molds from to cast their silver ??
Good question, if it was ,I am going to use it for the same, it probly would be perfect ,wow!

If you want to see high desert spectacular on your way home turn south on 580 and travel to Bishop but turn west on Buttermilk Road 👍
I love your rock hounding videos, Nate! I'd like to give them a like but my phone wants to save all of them. 😁

You have the bug so bad the only cure is more hunting.
Garfield
