    The Internet makes it so easy to find people with similar thoughts that people don't even try having conversations with those that are different.

      I was talking about how he gets all butt-hurt when she points out some shortcomings of his own tribe. Both sides also engage in identity mongering and victim worshiping, but he doesn't cry about that because the used those terms to describe those nasty people that he doesn't identify with.

    Political Tribes, group instinct, and the Fate of Nations… Amy Chua.
    An objective look at American politics today, published in 2018… Panned by the Guardian as “a well-intentioned book that never quite comes together”. As well as a less than a glowing review from
    The Financial Times which acknowledges the “Tribalism” mentality, however, a “crucial question” was left unanswered.
    To the first criticism, Amy missed the Pivot that occurred on August 23, 1971, when future Supreme Court Justice Lewis Powell sold out the American people to a friend and confidant Eugene B. Sydnor. On that day America took on the traits of a classic Fascist government. America lost its integrity on that date. So, while most Americans believed America was exercising Thomas Jefferson’s Democratic Republic, it was exercising the traits of a Libertarian Government, waiting for someone to lead them.
    Enter the Federalist Party, people who believe in the teachings of Alexander Hamilton, under the guise of James Madison (funny what a logo can do).
    Federalists believe in the power of the Executive branch, however, not all Federalists are created equal.
    Some Federalists, ALSO represent people who believe they are better than the common man, and therefore they should reap the benefits the system provides. Completely unAmerican, so they have to fool Americans by doing it in front of their very eyes.
    This is the purpose of controlling Wall Street Banks and the Federal Reserve. Wall Street banks are leverage banks and the Federal Reserve creates the currency for our Status Quo to survive.
    This is where America is today, being carved up by the special interests who control our Markets.
    The Financial Times' “critical question” can best be described by historian George Tichnor Curtis. Who in 1854 and 1861 published the Financial Times' answer to the "critical question" in his books, History of the Origin, Formation, and Adoption of the Constitution of the United States.
    This quote is borrowed from Benson Lossing books Our Country, attributed to the said author: At that time the world had witnessed no such spectacle as that of the deputies of a nation, chosen by the free action of great communities, and assembled for the purpose of thoroughly reforming its Constitution, by the exercise and with the authority of the National Will...Neither among the Greeks nor the Romans was there a precedent and scarce an analogy.
    This is why America is special, THERE IS NO OTHER COUNTRY with America’s past.
    Thomas Jefferson's Republic allows for the PIVOT, unlike other forms of government. This allows Americans 20/20 hindsight which means "We, the People" can learn from our mistakes. While Republicans want a king, a dead-end government created on "Birthrights", the Republican solution.

    Saying "just sit down and talk" doesn't work when one party in the discussion is an ethno-nationalist.
    Wanting ethnic cleansing isn't a "different opinion". It's openly advocating genocide.

      Eoin O'Connor who TF is doing that? This is why we can't have nice things:. Ppl like you constantly conflate opposing views as, literally, Nazis...which, although stupid, may be fine if you held ALL groups to the same ridiculous standard. But you don't. Groups like La Raza, BLM, Zionists, Feminists...you view those as OK under the guise of 'the other' or 'marginalised'....all the while holding a different standard to what you conceive as 'dominant' or 'oppressive'. Pull her head out.....

    "It's hardwired" isn't really an acceptable explanation, in my opinion.

    • @Sound8VisionVibe
      @Sound8VisionVibe 6 років тому +5

      It doesn’t need to be acceptable to you to be true. In fact you saying you need a more in-depth explanation sits you in a tribe of humans which have a problem with agreeing to things without hearing the full story. Now are you aware of that? Only if you are actively in a group of humans who speak on this topic openly. But if you aren’t aware of it in that way, then is is a subconscious and automatic part of your identity, and thus hardwired.

    • @jessstuart7495
      @jessstuart7495 6 років тому +3

      Distinguishing "hardwired" from learned social behavior isn't easy to do. I'm just saying I would like to hear more evidence before I am ready to accept that conclusion. Expert authority doesn't carry a lot of weight for me; hard evidence does. Skepticism (a strong BS filter) is my modus operandi, and has served me well in life.

    • @Sound8VisionVibe

      I can completely agree with you, and normally i’d be the same way, but something about this lady just really feels, in my heart, like she’s trying to do something good. The look in her eyes, her body movements, the way she comes back at the hosts politely, yet firmly, the way she’s hardcore exposing sports for the tribal fantasies that they are.
      She seems genuine, but more data is definitely needed to come to a final conclusion.

    • @namusmotorola8075
      @namusmotorola8075 5 років тому

      @@Sound8VisionVibe I think you are confusing “a group of people” with just a “set of people”-ie. for whom just a qualification of some sort has been presented, without any sketch of affiliations b/n them. for example, “the set of extraordinary people” is not a group in the sense of this discussion, almost by definition.
      @{Jess Stuart} : a surprising deficit in this discussion seems to be the almost total disregard for the “software” (although the discussion itself is an instance of it) as a, possibly much stronger, driving force for humanity. The effect of reasoning by the agents, above their genetics and memetics, is horrendously harder to model scientifically-and one seems to have chosen to do the easy science instead.. of searching under the lamppost.

    • @Sound8VisionVibe
      @Sound8VisionVibe 5 років тому

      @@namusmotorola8075 Your splitting hairs. This does not rely on someone needlessly acknowledging a semi-illusory difference between two words that, in this context, can be used interchangably to make ones point without any confusion whatsoever. All that brought to the table was a toss of the good ol’ seeds of confusion.
      I can speak to a “Group” of extraordinary people, I can speak to a set of extraordinary people, and the whole time, they were the exact same people, definition be damned. The people do not have to be consciously together in something to be seen as a group by an outside eye, the difference lies only in the importance of the group to bee rigidly referred to as a group, and not a “set”, or a “flock”, etc.
