Hi everyone! Appreciate you all completing the viewers checklist 😏 Will I meet some of you at the pilot expo in Berlin on the 24th and 25th of February?❤Hope you liked the video & please let me know which airport you would like to see next😘Sponsored by Athletic Greens: www.athleticgreens.com/dutchpilot
After landing on the ground do airplanes move automatically or pilots drive airplanes to their assign gates. If pilots drive airplanes on the ground then how do they turn airplanes from main runway to taxi lanes without any steering wheel in the cockpit? How exactly pilots apply breaks when their airplanes reach at their assigned gates?
Nice video. Lots of concentration making sure to stay away from those mountains. And yes, it is a Boeing!. Germany in February? Hmmm….no. A tad warmer down here in Miami, Florida. Temps were around 85F/25C (circa). Besides Dutch and English, do you speak Italian or any other languages? Thanks again for the video. Be safe!!! Post Tenebras Lux
Thank you for this! I have non-pilot friends who will say things like, "Airline pilots just sit there and push buttons. The planes fly themselves." Videos like yours are great because they show how much skill and knowledge it takes to fly a modern passenger jet. And you look so darn calm and professional while doing it. Awesome job.
@@JaydenB744 Sometimes the planes do fly themselves, or should we mention it was a group of computer programmers who are very good. The bad programmers crash planes. Your sentence is true. Jmagner's original is also.
For the record, I am a commercial pilot. The planes do not "fly themselves." The flight computers, automation, autopilots, GPS, etc. are wonderful tools, but they are just that. Tools.
Another beautiful destination, even on a cloudy day. And the ATC with the Italian accent make all those routine comms sound almost poetic! 😄 Thanks for sharing Michelle.👍👍
Impressed with the multi-cameras and the audio with the airport control tower. These innovations give more information on the complex process of landing. Thank you for another beautiful video.
This is my favorite because Naples is my city. Nice landing for RWY 24, even if it had landed for RWY 06 this was nicer, as the panoramic view is more spectacular than the gulf of Naples. Congratulations to the channel's most beautiful female pilot.
Hi Michelle, the best approch to Naples is from the sea, flying over Ischia, Procida, Campi Flegrei and the city. The right weather condition for this is less frequent but possible. Naples is waiting for you again. Thanks for yours beautiful videos.
Dang cup of coffee the most dangerous part of all lol. Love all of your videos. Seeing the charts, and control settings etc. You are a true proffesional. Thanks....
Hi Michele, another engrossing and amazing video from you. Enjoyed it. It was nice to hear the exchanges with the ATC and the professional coordination/conversation with the pilot flying and the Captain. Those were a pleasant surprise and gave me a personalized ‘being there’ experience. The little blooper at the end with the tin of Athletic Green infused a bit of humor which was nice !! A very big thank you for another exciting video.
It makes me wonder though, why in the digital age communication is still like 100 years ago when aviation started, with many, many potential sources of error. The Italian accent of the flight controller is charming, but doesn't make him better understandable. Misunderstandings and lack of language skills have lead to air desasters. Why don't they transmit the data digitally?
@@palimpalim5291 I thought the point is that if the language isn't understandable it may lead to errors. What I mean is that this shouldn't be an issue, since it is perfectly understandable.
@@jjeherrera In this instance it was. In many, not so much. Misunderstandings have happened, people have lost their lives because of that. Oral communication over CB is prone to errors and completely irresponsible in the information age. Even operators that speak very clearly can make mistakes. Have you never made a Freudian slip? If communication was done machine to machine, those mistakes could be discovered in time by the system. Even teenies have more modern means of communication than the aviation industry.
We lived in Napoli for over 7 years while I was stationed at Capodichino Airport with the USAF in the 70s and 80s when they had a MAC Detachment at the Navy Air Terminal. I met and married my wife there and our two children were born there. Napoli is a magical place if you look beyond the filth and chaos.
👍🏼👍🏼Nice👍🏼👍🏼 and I like the blooper at the end of the video🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing your everyday roll as an airline pilot - very much appreciated by this armchair pilot 😉 And nice to hear the ATC audio too, gives that extra sense of realism 👍🏼
Great video! Like that shared ATC chat and hearing what are the key points of CRM between you and the captain on the approach. Its great to see these approaches. It is the bit you always wish to see when flying! Thanks for producing and sharing!
Yes the Amalfi coast is beautiful. We flew into Naples as we were staying in beautiful Sorrento. It was quite hilarious as we were landing you could hear people praying. Then as we landed a big cheer and clapping.
Flew into and out of Capo a couple of times during my time in the US Navy (aircrew on EP-3s but sometimes they'd let a couple of us come up and watch the landing from the cockpit). Got stranded ashore a couple of times too when the weather got too rough for the liberty boats to bring us back to the carrier. Great memories and you're absolutely right about the pizza. Fantastic!!! Thanks for bringing back old memories!!!
First off I have always known pilots go to work knowing how many soul responsibilities they have in their hands, much respect for all pilots willing to take on so much each flight, secondly you are beyond stunning.
Nicely done - thank you. As an American, private pilot, who the insurance companies have deemed too old to fly (76) I really appreciate watching flight videos. I especially enjoy the languages. Well presented and very informative.
Another Excellent video Michelle! Thank you so much. The way you explain everything verbally and with graphics during the flight makes these the best flight videos on UA-cam. You make me want to become a pilot. 🙂🌹
So nice to hear you and the Captain speaking Dutch. I used to travel via AMS almost every week before Brexit, and hearing Dutch is one of the things I really miss.
@DutchPilotGirl... Howdy Michelle........I just want to be sure the message I received about texting you is legit and not a scam. Can you review and confirm?

Good to see you again.
Having been a non flight deck crew member flyer for many years now a keen MSFS pilot I love your videos, I just wish you would continue to the gate and shut down before you end the video. I also loved the Naples ATC!!
