They sure have, can't believe how little they looked when we first got here. They seem to change slowly slowly and then when I look back I'm like, "when did that happen?!"
Everything looks absolutely delicious. Especially that barbecue joint! Love satay as much as the next guy but those skewers man… More and more of them popping up too. Never got into the mala craze but I’m all in on them skewers. 😂
I’ve had mala a couple of times but found it had a bitter flavour I didn’t really like. But what we had there was amazing! Maybe just a different style of it. I’ll definitely try it again someplace else.
I enjoyed watching this family having yummy food, especially the handmade pao (traditional Chinese buns). Good recommendation: I must go try this handmade pao shop. Nam Kee pao is also good, especially the small char siew pao.
We have a nam kee pao close by, my father in law says those are his favourite. I’ll have to take him to this place and see what he thinks. Glad you like this newer food series.
Thanks for all the spotlights. ❤👍 Love the figurines. They're well made and beautiful. Have to resist buying and so on because there's simply no space to work in and to display the figurines. Love the food as well though it's a no no to frogs and exotic meat for me. Same with octopus and squids though I love the latter but I stopped after watching numerous documentaries on those sea creatures and others. As a source of nutrition, they're not vital.
The figurines were incredible, some of them were also so huge and the details, wow. I never used to like more exotic meats but I guess in some counties it’s not exotic to the locals. Depends what we’re used to. Some countries eat Guinea pigs and I don’t think I could do that as I used to keep them as pets as a kid! Same with rabbit.
After your video I took blue line to Jalan Besar .. stopped over at Swee Choon Dim Sum. Then towards pau shop. The lotus n red bean pau is delicious. Thanks to u I took the courage to go there under the hot sun.. n Mustafa Centre is nearby how convenient 😊
That's a dish I love. I think we had one Near East coast park before and we had to wait in line for ages. I haven't had it for ages so thanks for reminding me of it.
@@WONDERLUSTworld How much were the char siew? 1.80 for a bite size is expensive for me. Last time these hand made bao are 2 for a dollar. Or 80c/pcs. Even Portuguese eggtart now so expensive. 1hr pay($8-10/hr) can hardly buy enough to be full.
Hello again! Hope you’ve had a good week too, we’ve enjoyed the extra day off today. We may go to some but we have a few other things planned already at the moment.
U should include Sungei road laksa as your bucket list.
I was just going to come here to suggest that. Along with Swee Choon Dim Sum, someone else mentioned.
The more votes for one is probably where we will end up! 🤤
Love watching your videos. Kids grown a lot. ❤

You could do Part 2, Part 3. Part 4. What a fabulous day you had. An absolutely wonderful video.
We will definitely be going back for more in a few months - other food streets to check out for now! Hahaha
Wow nice to see you guys again...👍
Thanks! We’re still posting every Friday. Can hit the bell to get the notifications 😀

1. Kotuwa (Sri Lankan food)
2. Dim sum Haus
3. Ms Durian
4. Hand in Hand Beijing restaurant for xlb
Thanks for the recommendations - I’ll be sure to look them all up and see if there are new things for us to try!

The hawker center has good old school stores!
Oh cool!

I'm so pleased you took a trip there and enjoyed it! Mustafa is an incredible place, I think we could do a vlog about that place alone it's so huge.
I marvel at your videos as there so much dc too 😅
There is a lot packed on this island that’s for sure!
There are a few dim sum eateries at Jalan Besar, my favourite for now is Sum Dim Sum; love their specialty dishes n atmosphere!! ❤
I think we walked past that place, the name if familiar to me. What should we order if we go?
Try ZamZam opposite Sultan mosque
That name sounds familiar - I’ll look it up! I don’t think we’ve been.
Did not see any details about the dessert shop 😅
Oops thanks! All added now, it’s also in the video itself.
@@WONDERLUSTworld👌🏻 thanks 😊
Going Jalan besar should try the Hai Nan scissor cut curry rice
That's a dish I love. I think we had one Near East coast park before and we had to wait in line for ages. I haven't had it for ages so thanks for reminding me of it.
Last time affordable stuff now become "exotic" expensive stuff. Like traditional pastries and frog legs.
Perhaps, maybe tailoring to the tourists too a little. The pao place we went to was very reasonable in price.

Prices have gone up here and there, I guess business have to in order to keep up with the rising costs elsewhere.

True lah. But pay forever can't catch up for "entry" jobs.
Sad a common breakfast is now an occasional treat for me. 😩😮💨
The pau was $1 - so this one is holding close to more affordable.
Is XM studios open to the public? It must have been “marvelous” and “transformative”
Hehe I see you spotted Jonty’s puns in the video. It is open to the public but I’d check on their website for opening times.
try the Crocodile Meat Soup at Jalan Besar Food Centre.
Ooh I’ll look it up, thanks!
Great for bring us on the foodie journey in Jalan Besar.... I preferred eating at hawker Centers.... More economical...
That’s true, we usually do for regular meals, this one’s more of a treat to explore new things and find good places to support.
You finally got it right this time round …..
We love hawker Centers. This video is to show off some of the other great local places to get food 🤤
Hello friend, I always enjoy watching your videos, hope that you have a wonderful week. 😊 Are you guys going to the Ramadan bazaars? 💜
Hello again! Hope you’ve had a good week too, we’ve enjoyed the extra day off today. We may go to some but we have a few other things planned already at the moment.
@@WONDERLUSTworldHope we stay in touch, friend 😊
Would u be featuring any makan around North side? :)
Of course, any suggestions?
From this old boy from Perth down-under.
Awesome video vlog thanks for sharing ;
