That was really cool, thank you so much. Do you cook much? There is so much choice of food in Singapore, isn't there? I particularly loved the cut fruit markets too. I saw a Dragon Fruit here in NZ for $3.99 today, and it would be so tasteless.
I don't cook that much really at all. Jonty loves to cook when we have people over but sometimes it's cheaper to order in and split the bill anyway. I find it also gives me more time with the family as I'm not cooking or clearing up after. When I do cook the kids love to help so I do think it's important to teach them basics too.
Nice week blog 😊 Just saw that chicken rice u guys ate. I stay around that area. Loving their chicken rice haha but abit slightly pricey for me I guess.
@@WONDERLUSTworld I usually just get the zi char stall at the corner beside the value shop. Their zi char is quite value for money in my own opinion and their food is quite alot.👍 The scissors cut curry portion is quite heavy and value for money. 👍 And also the Yi Jia Bakery. Good breads, soya beancurd, waffles 👍 Along upper thomson rd: (Based on my rankings) 1st: SK Zi Char Stall beside the value shop ( Opens I think after 4pm onwards) 2nd: Scissors cut curry rice ( beside the colombus cafe) 3rd: Yi Jia Bakery (near the Hello Arigato cafe) 4th: Roti Prata House ($1 per plain prata) 5th: MingFa Fishball Noodles 6th: SOI19 Thai Wonton Noodles 7th: Tomyum Mama 8th: Teochew Mixed Rice (abit pricey but staff is a bit rude)
Lovely video. I cook my own rice too and will grabfood dishes from a sze char stall if I am too lazy to cook myself. 😂😂😂 The typewriter does it still work?? 😳
It's such a convenient way after a busy day of work. Yes the typewriter still works. We had one before and we wrote all out wedding invites on it and then we had it at the reception for everyone to write messages to us that we then made into a book. So it's quite sentimental too even though our original one is safe in the UK.
There is a place near the HDB's at Woodleigh Glenn. We've been getting food there for about a year or so now, so we've become regulars. The food is always good and uncle often throws in something extra too for the kids.
Aw thanks! He’s still at the gig but I saw a video and it looked great. We got our table from Carousel - it’s all steel and tiles on top. Hopefully something we’ll keep always.

I have started packing for my SG trip. Next week I'll be there.
How exciting. Have a safe trip. Rainy season has passed now so you can stay dry.

What a nice area to stay. Where do you usually get food from around there?

@@WONDERLUSTworld will be waiting for your upper thomson foodie series to be out! 😉
It looks so fun, Jonty. The music & songing sound so nice everything come tgt. Lovely...thanks for sharing one of your passion.👍👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it. It's good to make time for our passions.
a tingkat! BTW the chicken rice stall, up the road, on the same side, is good too!
Thanks for the recommendation. So easy to get to straight from the station.
yes blessed we have a decent public transport ;)
Yes indeed!

5:56 That tingkat meal looks great! Where did you order it from?

Thumbs up to your new video with a slightly different content 👍🏻
Thanks!
Nice change of pace…. enjoyed the content! Hope everything went well with Jonty’s gig! Side note: your dining table looks awesome 😅

Is that chicken rice place anywhere close to the roti prata house place?
I believe it is but the other exit. SO much food around that area it would take a while to try them all.
Hello friend, I always feel intrigued by your amazing videos, hope that you guys are doing fine, sorry for being busy with work & life. 😊
Thanks!
@@WONDERLUSTworld Hope we stay in touch, friend. 😊
Do you have a maid we had one in Singapore
Hello, no we don’t have one.
Did I hear you guys saying grace before the meal?😊
Yes you did 😊
Oh i do love gelato and ice cream in general! but coz i'm lactose intolerant i can only take those gluten free types like Gelare
Celine's has sorbets, they are amazing too!
Oh you know tingkat 😂
Yeah! Love them - a friend showed me where to buy this one and her friend actually covered it herself so it's pretty unique.
I love gelato too. 😊
Have you tried Celines? Their pistachio is amazing!!
@@WONDERLUSTworld I haven’t tried Celine’s gelato. 😊
Do go if you’re in the area.
@@WONDERLUSTworldI will patronise Celine’s gelato soon. 😊
Say we sent ya! Can make a little video too.
