Super tuto Maddog, effectivement très efficace en incursion basse altitude, je vais tenter de répeter ce shéma. Avec les bombes GPS on perd l'habitude, Merci à toi
Sorry but I thought final attack heading (FAH) was 270 (2:15) in your awesome diagram, but you have FAH as "required attack heading" of 330 (2:31). After the pop wouldn't you roll out on the FAH and not the "required attack heading"? I was a U.S. Marine Forward Air Controller (FAC) or now called Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and this confuses me a little. Maybe I'm just old and the geometry has changed lol. The pilot "target in sight" call followed by "wings level cleared hot" call validates the drop and clears the pilot to pickle. The FAH is verified by the FAC/JTAC if I remember. Of course this all depends on CCIP, auto, or loft! Any old FACs out there to refresh my memory? Been a long time.
Hi. The terminology I’m using might not be exact. In the case of a JTAC like you, you are right it is final attack heading. I’m using “required attack heading” to indicate a restriction from a planification stand point like it was taught to me. Cheers.
Why do you want your ccip cross beyond the targets and not in the middle of them. Didn't you say in a previous video that the cross marked the mid-point of your bomb group? Why didn't half your bombs go long? I'M SO CONFUSED!
Hi and thank you for your questions. It’s not the CCIP cross that you want to put beyond the target; it’s the Flight Path Vector (FPV). Your CCIP cross needs to be over your target for single bomb, and in the middle of the area you want to hit when using multiple bombs like you said. In this example, I dropped 4 bombs with an interval of 50 feet which works out to be 4 bombs in 150 feet ( 💥-50-💥-50-💥-50-💥), so not a big spread. It’s normal for such a small interval to have the impression the bombs are falling as a group. Here’s what I suggest you try: load up with 8 bombs and drop them on a runway with an interval of 200 feet while making note of where you pickle (next to a crossing taxiway maybe?). Repeat with an interval of 50 feet aiming at the exact same point on the runway. You will be able to compare the different damage areas. Don’t hesitate to contact me again if you need more clarification. Good luck!
Pretty fun! I used waypoints in the mission editor at first then I was able to do it on the fly.
@@Leper_Messiah. Well done!
Nice !
Thanks, Can you make more tactical videos like this please.

Nice presentation. A Canuck as well.
