Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I'm a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

One laser guided bomb at a time!
I don't know if "fighter pilot's voice" is a thing, but this dude has it.
Great Tutorial! I have another tip. The radar has a tracking mode for ground moving targets. If you put the tdc over the small box and then press Sensor select switch right again, the radar will track the target and you can slew the TGP exactly to the tracked vehicle. Very useful for using LMAVs, but beware, if you fly over the target - which is necessary for LGBs - the radar will lost the track. So after getting the the track, put the TGP into automatic mode with the same method as in the video and you are good to bomb it 🙂
Fantastic tip
Awesome Tricker!
Your videos are super helpful! Short and to the point but still being detailed enough to understand what your doing and why, love it! thank you so much!
Thanks mate, I was rusty and this got me going again. Absolute chad.
Glad to help
Love the losing gmt at the last second, a true DCS guide. Awesome tut.
Would you be able to do a dumb bomb in ccip and auto tutorial? I cant seem to hit the broad side of a barn. By the numbers, at proper speed and angels 🙏
Yah I’ll look into that 🫡
I have the same problem. Especially in the training module when it tells you to use the offset. Even with CBU’S AND THE ROCKEYES. i can’t figure out where to place the piper.
@@robertspivey46your issue is going to mostly come from dive angle if you’re doing dumb bombs without ccip, if in auto you have to make sure you fly directly in your asl. You want to be as level as possible and also hold the same speed. Easiest way to do it is to use your autopilot to keep straight. Use the throttle control and the BALT /RALT. This should make it easier. You could also cpl
@@ItsNotFate ty sir I’ll give it a try,.
Great info for putting the code in all GBUs in one shot. Excellent! 🍺
"You can change it on the fly"! hilarious my man!!
Great DCS F18 video, Ill probably have to watch it three times to grasp everything. So much better than the in game tutorials. Would have loved some more information on the radar usage. That I havent really seen a good video on. How to find the targets, see the bricks etc. Nice that someone is doing these videos of this high a quality and they are pretty recent. I thought the target coming unlocked and how to react to it was actually QUITE perfect. Things dont go as planned a lot of times. That helped a ton. Dont freak out.. just reacquire it.
Very nice.
Great vid…your tutorials are fantastic work!
best tutorial man ! very easy to follow and clear as daylight ! good job mate
That was really well done and actually losing lock made for some excitement and good pickup on the laser again!
Amazinf tutorial! This helped alot❤
2:00 I did NOT know this either! :D
Such a better/easier way to enter the codes!
Awesome dude ur the champ great tutorials keep up the good work 👍
Thank You VERY MUCH! THATS A TUTORIAL! That lazy amateur grim repears should learn from you.
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Dope video brotha 🫡😎
Actually a very good demo since thats exactly what happens in my limited experience.
Thank you bud!
Great recover!
Nice tut. How are you zooming in and out on the TPOD?
@TrickerDCS if u have mismatched Lcode, there will be a flasing boxed [CODE] on the HUD
Correct
Very nice tutorial, when are you going to do a video about drawing shapes in the sky?
I’ll do turns around a point just for you baby
I think you can also change ALL codes simultaneously via selecting the bombs - UFC - CODE
12:10 how bombs hit the main characters in action movies
“Hey Siri. Set bomb and targeting pod laser codes.”😂
thats why you fly 45° off the target after a drop and orbit, so the TGP has a better, more steady view and does not flip, that messes up the track
I use a permanent on/off switch on my throttle to keep the laser on. That thing turning itself off damn near drove me insane.
My solution is to bind it to the first trigger detent. That does nothing on the Hornet apart from enabling gun camera.
Not a bad idea either, yes. I might just do that and free a switch.
When I go to air to ground mode I still can’t arm the laser
what is the bomb release button?
Pro vid brother!
EXCELLENT I found that if the target isn't going 9 mi/hr or more the moving radar won't detect it. Is that correct or I'm doing something wrong.
Im not sure the exact speed but I know it was about 10 knots to get them to show up on the GMT
hi Tricker, i got a issues, when i use tgp lock on target, i switch mode in RMDI my HUD did not change, for example before lock a target my GBU-12 bomb mode is auto, after my target destroyed i change gbu-24 clar-sl mode, but my HUD still auto, i must unlock and lock again a new target. therefore i must move TGP to a target again, is this a bug or anyway easier to attack new target?
Usually the way I switch to a new target is sensor select switch in the direction of your TGP (right in my case) to go back to scene mode if you were in auto. Find a new target, sensor select right to go back into auto mode. Always rearm your laser after. Does this help or are you having issues with different bomb types?
@@TrickerDCS thx alot, its really help
Now if I can just remember all of this and get it done...........
I always have difficulty in acquiring target with the TGP. I fly at 30k feet and I can't really tell wtf the TGP is looking at. I only see trees and mountains and that's 90% of the map. Do you have any advice on how to acquire targets?
Same here...
@@keithbriscoe99 For me the best way to ID targets with the TGP is to use SCS: Fwd so after pressing TDC: Depress the TGP will automatically lock whatever you looking at with the helmet. So I use that to get the general area where the targets are (the outskirts of a city perhaps) and then manually slew around with the TGP till I find something. Playing with the WIDE/NARROW field of view and variable zoom levels is super important too.
Bad demonstration at 12:18 is in fact a great demonstration of what can happen and what to do. It took me hours to figure out one thing that I haven't seen in any laser videos but I must be slow lol. That is you need to install a laser on the pods......
What does this mean, please?
I hope ED will change that in the future. You can't change lasercodes on GBUs 12, 16, 10 in the air.
These are the new super secret laser guided bombs 💣
@@TrickerDCS Sry, I didn't know that 😅
I thought that if the bombs are mounted on the smart racks you can change the codes from the cockpit. It's just that IRL they are usually mounted directly on the aircraft's pylons.
@@NLozar22 Laser guided bombs are still dumb bombs with no databus connection. The lasercode is set with a screwdriver on the ground. Newer LJDAMS like GBU-54 have a data connection to the plane.
First! Great vid cheers
With which button do you send to another plane. I don't know the command with which I can send the position via the given one.F-16V data link.
At the present time that’s not implemented; the f16 can send markpoints over link 16
@@TrickerDCS I'm interested in that. I make it via TGP str point 26 and with what command do I send it.
dose we hmust drpress the tdc drepressed?
You don’t have to with the ATFLIR in auto track mode
Where do you learn this from?
Books, chucks guide, practice
What do the different codes mean?
You want your laser code to match your bombs. If you have conflicting codes then you may not hit your target
The codes tell the bombs (or missiles) which laser spot to seek towards. If you and your wingman are using different codes, you both can simultaneously attack targets that are right next to eachother, but if you are using the same code, you have to make sure that the bombs can only see one spot at a time.
How can I get this game to play
It really looks like a daft or broken interface to me. Why would you force a pilot to manually set several values to the same number, when moving a number from a to b automatically is error free and costs nothing?
When I try to input the code, I press enter and error flashes (1:33)
Make sure it’s a valid code
I prefer to drop bombs like an idiot. I don’t think this is the tutorial for me
I’m not a smart man, but I know what love is
Hi.
What is this game's name?
Dcs world
@@TrickerDCS Thank you.👍
I am too blind to find the targets💀
I want to fly this plane help me to found this game please 🙏🏼
Dcs world is the game
Pls someone help me. When i select A/G mode radar doesnt change on surface mode and when i click it nothing hapens
How are you my friend How do I carry mods to the plane without attending
11000 alt and ~2500 distance to drop GBU? Wow, you must really have no enemy SAM in the area to be able to engage using this weapon system.
Well, this is called a tutorial, so it’s a demonstration on how to use the weapon
@@TrickerDCS Yes, I understand that and understand why you use such area for demonstration. My surprise was related to the realization that someone decided to spend bunch of money to develop and build a pretty advanced weapon system that is possible to use only when enemy has no capable modern AA.
