I already knew about most of these and I definitely agree with your selection! Some of my other honorable mentions: - Binding of Isaac (ofc) - Skul: The Hero Slayer - One Step from Eden - Nuclear Throne - Spelunky 1/2 - Children of Morta - Moon Hunters (especially Coop)
I wish more people would at least acknowledge some of the slow down that occurs on the Hades switch port. Particularly (but not exclusively) when you get to Elysium with the flame wheels. It overall runs VERY well.... BUT the slow down has impacted my runs on switch a few times. Still totally worth it imo, but good to know ahead of time.
GREAT video once again. I definitely agree with all the choices. Love to see some of my favorite roguelites making it into this list. I do own a Switch but personally do not use it for roguelites as im almost never "on the go", but I should *definitely* have a few just in case!
Neon Abyss is another fantastic 'side view, twin stick shooter rouglike'. Lots of fun weapons and tonnes of items. Pretty much 'Enter the Gungeon' with a heavier focus on item effects. Runs like a dream, ~20$, definitely worth picking up.
I discovered Neon Abyss when it was free on Epic games. It's the game that got me into the rogulike genre and will stay n my favorites. I always go back to playing it once in a while. And the art style is AMAZING !!
Always thought I hated rougelikes, I am super ADHD. Played Hades back when it released and realized that there the perfect games for me. Literally my favorite now,
Great list. As a huge roguelite fan, I've played the heck out of nearly all of those games. A few honorable mentions from me would be: Orbital Bullet, Sifu (hard, but amazing), Void Bastards, and Little Noah: Scion of Paradise (don't let the graphics fool you, this one is just plain fun). Also, for anyone who enjoys Slay the Spire, there is Monster Train, Roguebook, and the more recently released Pirates Outlaws. Dust & Neon also recently released, and is great if you don't mind a difficult game. Flame Keeper also recently released, and while it has some interesting concepts, it isn't quite complete, so I'd wait for the rest of the chapters to release before buying. And for a much more mindless roguelite game that I enjoy when I just want to chill, there's a rarely talked about game called "Magic Potion Millionaire." It's not fancy, but the progression loop hooks me every time, and the (admittedly basic) story is longer than I originally thought. Good stuff.
Buying a Switch Lite a few months ago has made me realize my gaming palette was shit and finding these hidden gems from indie studios has been a great experience. From my understanding, Rouge-likes and Dark Souls are related. So I wasn’t expecting to get addicted to them since Dark Souls aren’t necessarily my cup of tea. But *HADES* has me fiending for the genre and indies in general! And I’m excited to start playing Risk of Rain today!
Right? Other drop downs are good, but never feel the same. Closest thing for me is Exit the Gungeon since it's, well.... Gungeon, but in platformer mode
When I saw the 0-10 section I was happy and excited to finally be able to have a free rougelike but it ended up disappointing me although it was still a good video
I would say that if you have the means to play Darkest Dungeon on the PC, then buying it for the Switch really is the *WRONG* choice. I made that mistake, and the controls really are suboptimal.
One game absolutely missing is NoReload Heroes. It's basically just what you want from a top down twin stick shooter rogue like. It's sooo unknown but it has sucha great artstyle and visual effects and it's even CHEAP TOO!! I'm just a fan of this game and in no way connected to them for this and the was sold to another company about 2 years ago and I think' they upped the price a little bit but they did improve graphics even more and fixed some of the few but previously existing bugs. So now it's even more engoyable I think! It's also local and online multiplayer with up to 3 other people which is suuper fun. Aaand it's also on Steam wirh multiplayer ofc!! So. Thank you if you've read through this, give this game chance, it's really great!! 🫶🏻✨️

Binding of Isac!!
Isaac is number 1.
I don't have a budget because I bought a Nintendo Switch
You can get downwell
So many $1-2 games on discount that are great. I got Post Void and Limbo for like 2 or 3.

Thanks to this video i now have 15 for when im on the go

"Rogue lite itch on the switch" was gold. Great video :D

Pirate outlaws too
Two i really recommend is oxto and post void also great vid
Mana spark is another great roguelike for less than 10. It’s really good istg
Dead Cells looked really interesting but all that extra DLC kinda made me hesitate and think if I’d be missing out by not indulging.
I wish anything scratched the Gungeon itch! I always return to it

Awesome Kirby figure.
Haha! Thank you! Was very expensive, but very worth it at the time
@@Burr_ Totally justified purchase, mate. Amazing video, too. I'm all about these games nowadays and grabbed some based on your recommendations.
How about Inscryption? It’s actually on sale for the switch right now
Fantastic game! One of the best stories I've ever experienced in a video game.
@@Burr_ I know right? Exactly
Inscriptions kaycees mod is like the best update I love playing it
Your English pronunciation is very friendly for a non-native like me.
I was expecting a comment saying how bad my pronunciation was, but thank you! Thanks for watching.
You should really check out Streets Of Rogue, it's a rogue-lite with alot of exploration and freedom
Dome keeper is so goood 😊🎉
When I saw the 0-10 section I was happy and excited to finally be able to have a free rougelike but it ended up disappointing me although it was still a good video
Eu também tenho mais de 100 horas no Hades, esse jogo é muitooooooo bom, e estou ansiosa pro Hades 2
Who let the barber cook 💀
we dont need to talk ab out my unlucky genetics in the hair department
@@Burr_ I'm so sorry
Good job Switch! You too, Burr 😄
Spelunky never gets mentioned anymore.... its tragic
Must must add binding of isaac repentance
Real
Is steamworld dig 2 this genre?

Does anyone know how Curse of the Dead Gods performs on Switch OLED, handheld and docked.
I havent played it myself but knowing the devs and how hard they work I imagine the game would be well optimized for the switch
Switch Rogue Hades 🥥🍍🏖️🏝️
Who are the lowborn fools who don’t like Hades. Some people…
