I may not understand the mechanics of the “zombie is in different lane than it looks” mode, but can’t you build your defenses at a diagonal or even a checkered pattern so it’s easier to tell where a zombie is based on the column it stops at to eat a plant?

Doesn’t work for sun producers, Cob Cannon, and Gloom-shroom
They should make a level called potato minefield where potato mines will spawn and arm instantly but they do horrible damage and potato mines should have a greater chance to spawn right on plants and digging it up will create a creater that lasts for 30 seconds
