    Have watched many of your videos and have noticed that the water is usually pretty smooth. Not so here in central Missouri. I've seen crests as high as 6 feet. Really takes a toll on the body. I could understand taking a break with water like we have here. No reason to quit if you are riding on glass 99% of the time. Keep on cruising!! 👍👍

      Yeah, I've seen those videos as well. It's just a normal summer day on the lakes here. 😃😃 Thanks for all the fun times you have shared. Looks like you have access to plenty of smooth water. Just give up the ocean riding, and you will be fine. Thanks again for all the great content. Be safe, Bob.

      The problem here is too many people with giant boats going 75 miles an hour! Not kidding.

    Another great video and adventure! Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer/installer in Central Florida for the application of "Gator glide"? Bottom of the skis could use some love.

    • @BobBroeking
      @BobBroeking  Місяць тому

      @@tcar32909 I agree with you about the adventure....Yes we all ride for different reasons... when I started motorcycling it was so I could commute in the HOV lanes in Wash DC to the Pentagon... then I started to do long distance riding, 1000, 1500 miles in 24 hours with the Ironbutt folks. Then I did the Ironbutt in 2003 over 11 days around the United States. See: whitespider.broeking.com/?page_id=424 So that sort of has transferred over to ski riding.... I am NOT the type of guy that enjoys just circling a lake and going to have lunch on the water. I like to have an adventure planned; some chance that it wont work and I like to ride from point A to point B.... that probably will not change in me an IS NOT for everyone. it is just me and why I ride. When I start to run out of adventures; it may be time for me to go on to my next passion.... we will see; thanks for the dialogue. Bob

    Counterclockwise……I’ve had the same argument with my wife on the direction of ceiling fan rotation…….we’ve even laid on the floor and looked up thru the fan blades to pick out an imaginary 12 o’clock position on the ceiling. Then I briefly turn on the fan to observe which direction the blade rotates to travel to the imaginary one o’clock position which clearly the blade rotates as the clock hands do. She still swears the fan rotates counter clockwise. Grrr.

    • @BobBroeking
      @BobBroeking  Місяць тому +1

      Danny would clearly have trouble with this ceiling fan exercise but I am sure takes comfort that other people sometimes get confused... If I am still alive when he gets on medicare I'll help him with the drawing the clock test.... thanks for watching and I found your comment the best on my channel in many months.... lol Bob

    Hi Bob, Beautiful calm water around Monkey Island. I looked at it on Google maps, that's a large area, beautiful. But apparently technically unreliable locks. Something like this hardly occurs in the Netherlands. Our locks operate almost all year round, but with limited locking time in the winter period. The hideaway seems like a nice restaurant to me. It was another nice vid!. I also have a question regarding the tool you use at the end of the video to indicate the route you took. I also make videos for our classic car club, and am looking for such a tool, but can't find anything suitable. This is the link to our UA-cam channel >> www.youtube.com/@MercedesS-klasseClubNederland

    • @BobBroeking
      @BobBroeking  Місяць тому

      I will check out the link.... that is actually the first time I have ever had an issue with these locks; usually no problem... had we had more time we could have waited...but gt bored. :-) Hideaway gets the job done for food and docks. I was just in the Netherlands when I took a Viking River cruise from Amsterdam to Basel Switzerland on the Rhine. Used to live in Frankfurt GE. I asked the ship's captain a lot of questions about how he navigates, etc...
