Great job Dawson. Good to see a clean cut driver that is young with no hardware and flip flops. Last trip for me in a truck was in 1991. Been to Ak several times, once on a Harley from MN and few times with a truck camper. Will keep a look out for you next time up. Great job on the video also!
Dawson awesome video 📹 bud, 2 trailer haul pretty cool 😎 🆒️, the forklift made light work of unloading you, and again the scenery en route was absolutely beautiful,
I recognize a lot of the footage as I drove it many times when I drove it back in the 90's with doubles. Across the flats of Cantwell up through the canyon etc.
Another good video. I didn’t care much for FBKS, little boring and more traffic. It’s a good change of pace, hard to beat VDZ. Hope you get Deadhorse, rough but a good change. Thanks again

Thanks! That’s a long trip on a bike I ride also haha
Good to see you young man. Awesome trip! Take care. Todd the retired trucker.
Thanks, you too!

Thanks!! Huge forklift doesn’t even feel that 44k lbs haha

That’s awesome! I bet the highway was rougher then

Definitely way more traffic on the parks but it’s a nice change of pace for sure
Air leaving the trailer suspension will cause a teater totter effect and the king pin will rise
That’s also a good point didn’t think about that
They also move forward a couple inches when they go down, you can see the bottom of the landing legs were pushed back a little from it.
First time seeing "turnpike doubles" NOT on a toll road! (I'm from PA so we only see double 48/53' doubles on the NY Thruway, OH & IN toll roads)
That’s interesting I didn’t know that’s the only roads they run on there haha
Looks like fun!
Impressive
If you think those straps would keep that pipe from sliding forward in a wreck, you probably believe in the tooth fairy.
Depends on the wreck. I’ve seen quite a few wrecks/rollovers that pipe stayed put for the most part.
Cleetus smashed the bajebies outa his boat
Yeah he did 😂
I’m pretty sure my T680 with the 450 Cummins would just lay over and die with that much weight 😂
lol the ol CAT wasn’t too happy with it either but pulled it just fine 🤙🏽
@@jaym7947 , my 23 T680 wouldn't survive where he runs, I drag bottom on the fuel island at the truck stop
Why don't the they deck the second trailer to go back? That lift surely could have done it
Definitely could’ve. But the time it takes to deck them plus stow the dolly and secure it all isn’t worth it. Just dragged them both back 🤙🏽
