Thanks for tuning in yall! We head 550 total miles north of Fairbanks Alaska and truck the Dalton Highway also known as the “haul road” or kamikaze trail. The majority of it is dirt, full of potholes and washboard with 10% grades and long mountain passes. Hope you enjoy!

I’m in SE Texas and tired of the humidity
Next time in Valdez we will get you some Port Swag and support our meat and potatoes!
Oh heck yeah!
Dawson great 👍 video 📹 bud, the weather looked atrocious, as we saw not much fun trying to load metal on metal just no grip, how's it now late August with the tourists?? A bit quieter?? Awesome job loading the JCB,🚚🚚🚚🚚🚚🚚👌👍,
Oh yeah, that metal on metal in the rain is never fun lol. The tourists are still here but definitely backing off usually by Labor Day that’s about when most of them are gone and then you have a few that come up to hunt, but you don’t really notice that.
Good to see you guys busy and working together. Thank you
Always a good time
Thanks again for these fantastic ride alongs. I was wondering about you being out there when you mentioned the firearm. There’s times when you stop that it’s impossible not to think wow, he’s in the middle of a level of wilderness that is hard to even wrap your head around. Do you see crazy wildlife in your yard? What about the northern lights?
I’ve had bears, lynx, coyotes, moose and a fox in my yard. Probably more I never saw haha
@@TheAlaskaTrucker That’s both crazy and incredible.
I like to see a good man put in a full day. Pretty impressive. A real professional that enjoys his craft. Thanks again. Watched this one with “The Man “, we both enjoyed it.
Haha heck yeah that’s awesome! Full day of trucking for sure

Goodness! What a lot of work you had to do on this one - doing all the unloading and loading, not to mention backing out 3 miles on the last load! Super job.
Yes it was! Long day but accomplished a lot🤙🏽
Hey Dawson great 👍 👌 video 📹, bud, nothing like a nice full day of driving a truck 🚚 in Alaska, the scenery is breathtaking, is it still full of tourists?, past 10pm and still not dark, pretty cool 😎, enjoyed the video 📹, great load, there and back
Glad you enjoyed it! Not quite as many tourists but still a bunch haha
Oh yeah, that truck would be a great anniversary gift 😂😂
Good job Dawson. First time I’ve seen Ft Knox, that’s quite the place. Wouldn’t think AK would have anything like that. Thanks again
First for me too. Wild seeing just how much material they’ve moved out of there
I hear the sound on diesel motor Detroit compare Cat diesel motor . Cat engine better sound than Detroit engine.
I agree!
Great video this 1 was really cool
Glad you enjoyed it!
Happy Anniversary to you both ❤️ You did a poor job editing out running that light 🤣🤣 Ya'll don't run ELD in Alaska 🤔
Haha I was wondering if anyone would catch it. I made it on yellow but it was close. We have ELDs yessir. But we have much longer hours of service. We can run 20 hours a day, 15 drive hours
Dawson could you not find a load, before bobtailing???? Wow nearly 400 miles empty without earning anything 😢 😮, the scenery en route was cool 😎 👌 👍, when I watch these videos 📹 and other previous programs like ice road truckers, I'm amazed trucks last the length they do, wow the vibration and punishment they take, as always enjoyed the video 📹 bud 👍👌
We could’ve made some calls and found a trailer that needed to be taken up possibly but we bid everything in such a way to make sure we get paid there and back so we made money 🙏🏼
I parked next to you early in the morning in nenana for a short time to get some coffee if that was you last Saturday the 3rd
Yeah I was delivering those conexes to ruby marine haha. Who do you drive for?
I drive for my dad. Sixguns.
Dawson! Thanks for the ride brother. I spent 40 odd years(some more odd than others ) in mostly LTL trucking in and around Oregon. I miss alot of it. not all of course, but thats trucking. Take care. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Thanks for watching! I can only imagine all the things you’ve seen and experienced in your career. I’ve got a long ways to go to catch up and learn haha
Happy Anniversary! Back in the 70's my Mom had friends that had land outside of Fairbanks & I got to go gold panning there. Was a fun experience.
Thank you! That’s awesome!
Dawson! You friggin rule. King Chill. 3 days into cdl school, dreaming of your neck of the woods up there. I always love the whole 45 some odd mins no matter what. Your videos are definitely the best I know of. Favorite channel all the way. Yeah!
Happy Anniversary🎉
That’s awesome! Slow is smooth smooth is fast in trucking 🤙🏽 can’t wait to hear once you’ve got your cdl and I appreciate the support!
You gonna be running down to valdez tomorrow 8/6 or the next day 8/7. I’ll be going down with an excavator
Nah I’ll be in Fairbanks but next time your running that way holla at me🤙🏽
Super cool, love seeing videos with scenery from my home!
Frieghtliner did that on purpose. The classics had everything right. Good cupholders, all switches were right where they should be, and the angle dash is pure sex. Their other trucks were built purely to troll people whos parents were obviously unfit to raise a child.
Haha you are totally right
You are so correct about keeping a good relationship with shippers. When I drove that was paramount to me. Great that you have that on your list. Take care. Love those Cats. Owned, geared and steered a few. Take care and thanks for the video!!
Exactly!! That’s awesome thanks for watching!
Hows ole pat doing. My kids will be up there Tuesday
Oh he’s good! He’s hoping to get his boat in the water soon 🤙🏽
Great video man. Are you an owner operator?
Not at the moment I’m a company driver 🤙🏽
@TheAlaskaTrucker that's awesome man. I'm saving to move up there next spring to truck drive. Do u have any recommendations I've been driving the lower 48 for 13 years now
It's called giddy up Go juice
No, you checked the water in the tires. HaHa! Oh, well. Old trucker humor. Thanks for the ride driver! Todd the retired trucker.
The videos are so good love all the trucks that you drive and keep making videos
Thanks! Will do!
Right on!! The gravy train 😮. Gotta love an easy load. Old blue is really clean as a back up truck. 60 with an 18 is a good setup. Thanks for the video. Nenana is cool.
Oh yeah she gets the job done for sure. Can’t complain 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Not a human in sight, must be nice
All that far still no bar
That strap need to be replaced with that cut in it
Yeah it got replaced after that load 👌🏽
Thanks for another entertaining video, always glad when a new one comes out , the bugs are bad in Wisconsin too
Need to keep your straps under the rub rails when possible; noticed some are on the outside.
Don't know what it is you have against seat belts. If its the tension against your body they have the yellow clamp at the top where you can have slack in the belt where it is not tight against you. Better to be safe where you can come home to your little Buddy.
Spray WD40 on the bolt and threads???there is always plenty of information and scenery en route in these 🚚🚚🚚🚚🚚videos 📹 🚚🚚🚚🚚🚚 great job bud 👍 👏
Thanks for watching man I try to share stuff I’m learning when I can 🤙🏽
Glad you're feeling better, and yes, the bugs are bad this year
It was supposed to say hope, not glad... stupid phone
Haha all good thank you!
Exhaust leak before the turbo = slower spool up and overall less boost, not as much as an actual boost leak but it matters
Yeah it’s in the shop looking like an overhaul now 😭
@TheAlaskaTrucker ... I follow you on UA-cam.. you got a new bumper, a month later I got the plastic trim on mine fixed.. you got new tires, this morning I got new steer tires.... now you just asking to much...lmao🤣
Hahaha that’s funny 😂😂😂
Do you haul logs? Always looking for someone to haul logs from Haines to mile 46 of the Rich…
We absolutely can. Text me 9072038254
Hope you get to feeling better Bud! Thanks for the ride and Happy B day to the wife. Take care. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Thanks! Will do!
I'm sure they didn't do what they said they did
Need an hat pov cam driver
I have one. I just need to start using it lol
Looks like Mountain Views new yard. You guys haul a lot of their stuff eh?
Not alot. Just working with them on the pipe haul
When I pick up the green sand and their on pallets like that. I ask for them to be placed on a normal pallet.
You were saying your truck was running a little warm with 80k, she's really gonna hate this
Красивый грузовик, звук его мотора это музыка!! Красивый водитель! И Аляска прекрасна! Спасибо огромное за путешествие ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How much does the freight pays up there ?!
Depends on the freight. Some stuff pays crap most of it pays substantially more then lower 48 due to the extra cost of operation up here. Typically no one runs less than 3 dollars a mile round trip
@@TheAlaskaTrucker thanks for the heads up. Feels like it should pay way more than 3 $ round trip.. good luck out there
Young and having fun. I envy you, good video
It shows you in your mirror if the wheel nut starts to spin loose
Yeah buddy! That Cozad trailer was our Carlile Heavy Haul boys! Dem guys are swimming in money! 🤑🤑
Heck yeah big moves 🙏🏼
Dawson why don't you wear a mask to cover your whole head when dealing with the mosquitoes when you unstrapping
That’s definitely a thought. If I had to be out there for more than a few minutes, I would get a head net for sure.
What are those yellow tags I've been seeing on just one lugnut of each wheel 🤔
Lets the driver know if theyve got any wheels locked up. Lotta offroad guys run em cuz of the conditions they drive in
@joseandreigarcia5500 thanks for the explanation
Yep in the winter when you are taking off you can make sure your tires are rolling. Brakes like to freeze up here all the time.
@@TheAlaskaTrucker thanks 👍🏾
Dawson, reminds me so much of me when I took my two sons trucking with me. Every time one of them went things went great. The other must have been bad luck to the trucking business. flats, DOT, bad weather LOL!
That’s awesome haha funny how that is 😂
❤❤❤
