This video just encompassed everything I learnt in a three month course on the Science of Gardening, and made much of it far more easy to understand. Great vid. Hoping to win that competition and have you and Costa come visit us in the Witchcliffe Eco Village in WA.
Wow I just found you love your gentle way of speaking truth.. I try to teach people about real food but they don’t listen snd they wonder why they feel so tired after eating .. organic food gives you energy not the feeling of tiredness❤️I will share your video to them you explain it so well! I shared this video to my mother who doesn’t yet totally grasp the importance of eating organic food. Thank you, it’s a great video. I grow my own as best I can, but am learning all the time. I grow maybe a third of what I eat, and hope to increase over time. I have an autoimmune disease and I hope to eat my way back to health.

An engaging cinematographic representation of a complex subject with a powerful underlying message in favour of organic food and regenerative farming methods. I love your videos, Weedy. I've completed Geoff Lawton's PDC and am currently enrolled with Dr Elaine (note the spelling) Ingham's Soil Food Web School and I recognise the enormous value of Weedy's portrayal of the scientific research in this format.
Weedy you are a one of a kind mate. Love all our content . I make my whole family watch this and my sis cried as you remind her of my dad that passed . Keep it up bud
Absolutely brilliant Mr Weedy, you've knocked the ball way out of the park with this one. Mainstream TV production companies should be making quality material like this instead of the shallow mindless celebrity gardening crap they pump out for profit. Cultural attitudes will only change through education that is not funded by commercial (for profit) interests. Hopefully people will see this sort of material and start asking questions and think for themselves. I will be sharing this video with everyone I can think of, even those who think I'm nuts for growing my own food. All the best mate from a cold and rainy UK.
I can't believe that a gardening video touched me so emotionally. We switched to organic foods a couple of years ago. Even before that, I had started a few pots of veggies but have gotten much more serious about it this year. I decided to start composting a couple of weeks ago and found your videos when doing a search on how to start. I really appreciate the way you break things down. But when you put the two broccolis into the worm farm and using time lapse, showed that the worms went after the organic first...well, that was game changing. Some of our friends make fun of us for spending more on organic and driving across town to some of the few stores have have larger organic selections. I'll be sharing this video with them. Thank you for your channel!
I grew up in the Northern Rivers, and have been living far away (in cities) for more than a decade. I can't thank you enough for sharing your Weedy Garden with the world. You bring so much joy, inspiration and knowledge to my life.
It's been said that, " when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." So I'm saying hello from Barbados..... teacher. Keep the knowledge flowing, please.
What an important and timely video to share with the world. When I did my agriculture certification I saw just how broken our food system is, and was horrified to learn about the poisons going into our food system with no regulation! Thankyou for this wonderful, inspiring video weedy, and so beautifully told ❤🌿🙌
You have an amazing ability to connect science with concepts I had previously written off as woo-woo. You're a fantastic science communicator, thank you :)
Your are fantastic storyteller Weedy. Even after studying landscaping 25 years ago. I always learn something new watching you videos. While studying, I got trained to spray herbicide and pesticides. That course resulted in me never commercially spraying as it opened my eyes to the absurdity of using chemicals in tje environment. 25 years of only purchasing organic produce and now growing my own. Even weed should not be hydroponic. Live now, like you have in wonderful Denmark. Keep up the fantastic teachings for the benefits of our ecosystems and peoples gut biomes.

Excellent presentation! It brings me back to 1967 and my General Science teacher in Freshman year of high school. The only difference is that he took all semester to present what you have condensed into one half hour. Your presentation is good form adults or children and adults to understand. Bravo!

Sharing your video. 😊 My yard is a closed loop for the most part except for the inputs from kitchen waste to the compost and worm bins. Make compost, leaf mould, and vermicompost. I also chop & drop, chip small branches and collect as much rainwater as I can. All in your average suburban yard. Working on adding more perennial vegetables and native perennials, for the birds and bugs. It has been a wonderful learning process.
Weedy, first we missed you!!! This video is another wonderful, beautiful, creation of yours! The way you see Nature, and how you transmit your Love for it is just heart warming. So grateful.
Very good video! Most of the ideas I already knew, about why it's bad to disturb the soil, I knew about photosynthesys, but you tied it all together in a very well explained video, and made it clear again how bad it is to eat non organic plants. I've been growing vegetables for the first time this year, some things went really well, other things failed. But we still buy food in the store as well, we're not self sufficient yet, and I don't know if we will ever be. We've harvested and eaten raddishes, carrots, beetroots, peas, some herbs, chard, lots of zucchini, a lot of lettuce, a few tomatoes and 2 small cucumbers. At least we have 4 raised beds in place now and 2 more on the way, and a fence around it, and compost bins, and 2 1000L water tanks with a 20 square meter roof to collect rain water. Next year I can at least put plants in the ground when they need to be planted instead of having to keep them in pots because the raised beds weren't finished or there was no fence yet, which was what happened this year. I've learnt a lot already, for example no spikey plants next to leafy greens anymore, which seems obvious in hindsight...
Great presentation! In '90 we had a startup Co., biologists, mechanics, and data specialists, planning to use the www., to connect 'permaculture' research bases, 'farms', to exchange soil, terrain, Swale data - everything - I popped into a Uni Library to find EU grant info., and came across astonishing, detailed plans, the EU proposed to 'diversify out of cities, into smallholding-based village societies', aimed at '92. Perfect! We applied, WWF were up for half, due to diversity. The EU went to sleep. I overworked physically, with a lurking virus (thanks, 'cheap' food, and amoxicillin), got ill. Still planning to get an old soil garden.
Wow! I'm truly amazed how you've presented a very complex process so simply and clearly! ( The technical expounders get so carried away it's been hard to form a clear picture.) Greatful thanks for a tremendous video! Also for making it so clear why organic benefits our lives. Bless you.

This really reinforced what I suspected about food. I never really understood the science, but this really helped. Gives you even more of an incentive to keep developing your garden and to grow more.
Weedy, it's good to have you back! This is an EPIC broadcast... echoing my own experiences and development of healthy soil. My garden has bloomed and thrived with the introduction of fungi to what was probably predominantly bacterial soil. And, you're right ... significantly less invasion of pests with the correct balance. Thank you so much!
Wonderful video. Sharing with my local gardening group, where I run our local community garden in Port Hedland, WA. Would love to see you at Kalamunda garden festival one year.

Awww @Weedy I'm so grateful for you! Ive watched from day 1 and your are like this beautiful, soulful bundle of light and joy who so generously and joyfully, shares so much goodness and value for us all. This video is a MUST for anyone even vaguely interested in healthy, wellbeing and importantly, Vitality. I have a health background, am passionate about nutrition and grew up on a farm where my darlin Grandpa forbade any chemicals of any kind and we grew and preserved all of our food. We were very poor but ate like kings in comparison to the townkids. Fresh clean air and water, healthy alive soil, outside in and with MummaNature and eating organically connected with likeminded peoples like your yourself, and the world would be far healthier and happier. Thank you so much, this is one one your best Vids yet and thats saying something with the value your have provided us all xo
I just wanted to say thank you for the effort and time you spend researching these topics. The way you make knowledge easily digestible is very helpful in both understanding and retaining it.
Loved the video Weedy! You should consider creating a standalone video with the broccoli & cauliflower time lapses, so folks who don't watch the longer video can still see that
You are absolutely delivering the most important message to mankind. My grandparents were farmers, they both had diabetes, dementia, and Alzheimer’s. I firmly believe it’s from the pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides they used. You are a true inspiration ❤ my hubby and I just love you! Keep up the great work!
@TheWeedyGarden this is pure gold Sir! I've been watching your videos for the last 4 years or so. These videos helped get me through the pandemic and also a personal tragedy during that time. This is some of the best content on YT or the internet for that matter. Keep up the great work!
I am here because your short about the bull getting its protein from bacteria blew my mind to bits! And I am so glad I got to see your full video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! 💚
Wow, what a clear and mind opening video. Thank you. I learned more about the food wheel , and the way nature naturally provides plants with protection, when given the correct soil and environment to thrive in. I love Weedy Farm, such a great way to get educated on the subjects I hold dear to my heart. ❤
Fantastic, interesting, and informative. Wholesome, excellent videography, and narration; also illustration! You continue to teach me very much, every time! Thank you for sharing info/wisdom/knowledge/results/conclusions/hipotesis.
You're a special fella, amazing informative video. I've completed Dr Elaine Ingam soil food web online course, I'd recommend it to anyone curious about the living force under our feet. Your explanation of the soil food web was easy to follow which wasn't often the case during the course. Like you I'm trying my best to grow the most nutrient dense food possible, living a life with your hands in the soil with purposeful intent to encourage an environment that attracts an abundance of life and diversity is so rewarding, it sings to my soul. Keep up the great work. Also, if you need any help when you do the garden makeover, if i can, I'm happy to volunteer my time, I'd love to rub shoulders with such a quality human who's spreading such an important message. Keep shining bright. Matt

Welcome back Mr Weedy man 💚🙏 What a bunch of knowledgeable content once again. May this go far and wide and educate many so that we all may heal ourselves and grow alike. It's never too late to bring the natural process of gathering nutrients from our backyards.
Hola! I enjoyed, I learned and I thank you for sharing! I live in Puerto Rico and am beginning my journey of organic growing and living. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. ❤

Thanks! I will watch this with my son. So educational and inspiring!
super thanx !!
Beautifully researched and presented. You would make a fine school teacher!
They dhow my videos at school, so that’s great, and I LOVE having kids in the garden.
Wonderful video. Sharing with my local gardening group, where I run our local community garden in Port Hedland, WA. Would love to see you at Kalamunda garden festival one year.
That’s half wsy around the world…almost! 😄
Thank you Weedy for this wonderfull video. It was inspiring and deeply informative🙏 Your passion is very much needed here on Earth so please keep doing what you are already doing.

So wonderful, I had to become a member/supporter because you are producing such quality material for us to remind us, how to be natural and healthy - thank you- thank you- thank you!!!
Back to ya 🫵🏻
Amazing journey that explains the importance of bacteria so well. It also reminds me of the probiotics a human baby receives in the birth process that goes on to help build their immune system for life.
Elaine Ingham is a legend… sending Elaine, Geoff, and yourself love and blessings from the miserable concrete jungle that is Melbourne ❤
This is an absolutely beautiful video. I wish it would be shown in schools, etc.
Thank you for this education. Never taught in schools or universities I went to. Making sure my kids and grandkids see learn earlier than I did.
Perfect!!!
Excellent , brilliant and marvelous content from a magnifecent human being. Thanks for the inspiration and sharing your wisdom. Long live The Weedy Garden!
Cheers 👍
I’m only halfway through and I’m overwhelmed at the beautiful film and easy to understand lesson.
This is so good!
You just keep getting better. A natural teacher with such a visual gift and technical expertise, I applaud you with gratitude ❤
Awesome comment thank you 🦍🎥🤩
Amen ! I couldn't have said it better !
Weedy is my favorite ! 🥰
Very well done. This should shown in schools, 3 times a year!
Great video David and awesome explanations on how plants take up nutrients. Always great content from you.
Thank you man! 💪🏻🦍🎥😃
One of the best videos I found in UA-cam in years: information, visuals, all really impressive. Thank you.
OMG I love this You are amazing and YOU should be mandatory in school! Hugs from a healthy garden in Norway
cool comment. thanx 🤗
Probably the best video I've watched all year. Thanks for taking the time to make it so good to watch. Wonderful video and photography
Loved the video Weedy! You should consider creating a standalone video with the broccoli & cauliflower time lapses, so folks who don't watch the longer video can still see that
Great idea!
Thank you so much, Weedy ! You are so inspirational, and you have given me encouragement to keep working on our veggie garden. 🙏🙇♀️🤗
You are so welcome
Great video. Tied many concepts I have heard of into a comprehensive explanation. Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you! 👍💪🏻🎥🦍😆
Wow, what a clear and mind opening video. Thank you. I learned more about the food wheel , and the way nature naturally provides plants with protection, when given the correct soil and environment to thrive in. I love Weedy Farm, such a great way to get educated on the subjects I hold dear to my heart. ❤
I love you man. Sending buckets of good energy your way brother. Big hug
I appreciate that 🙏🏻
Exceptional piece of learning! Thank you for clearing this all up for us! Your work is appreciated ...always
Many thanks!
That's the best video I've seen explaining why organic is best! I think this should be shown in all the schools:) !Brilliant🙂
I look forward to all your videos and this one has answered many questions I have regarding the bacteria in the soil.
Glad it was helpful!
Matt

You fed my adult mind while my heart became free like a child wandering in growth. I am blessed to have found you. My cousin lives in auckland, i in vermont.. this was my 3rd season watching nature in my little veg garden.
Welcome back Mr Weedy man 💚🙏 What a bunch of knowledgeable content once again. May this go far and wide and educate many so that we all may heal ourselves and grow alike. It's never too late to bring the natural process of gathering nutrients from our backyards.
