Just had a thought...I`m guessing that Australian customs will want to keep my mushroom kits in Australia, so if the winner is from outside Australia, I`ll find a nice bonus prize for you ;-)
That’s exciting!! Fingers crossed 😍
Praying 🙏🏻
Eggcitied 😉
Good that I moved to Australia before the giveaway : ))
Wish I lived there a lot of the times, off grid of course
I can't wait for that movie that was the best intro I've seen in a long time
Why wait?
I counted 39 mushroom or mushrooms 🍄 always wanted to grow my own, will definitely share a log with my family too!
40 times 🍄. Always great. My wife and I love watching your videos in the morning with our coffee.
Weedy,
I have enjoyed watching your videos for a few years now. My favorite was the one you labored all day to create a romantic evening for your wife. It showed the rest of us how much you love, respect, and appreciate her. That, my friend, is the most valuable gift; more valuable than the most exspensive jewelry and lavish vacation in some exotic place on our planet.
I love watching and learning your techniques and your explanation of the science behind them.
My heart, these videos are amazing
I can't believe I've not seen your channel before now.. I love what you've been doing, so inspiring.
UA-cam will show people my channel when they are ready 😂😂😂😂. Welcome. Glad we found you finally 💜

You said it 40 times or so Mr Weedy. Thanks for your inspirational channel mate
Or so is only a half each way and I don`t think I said mush, or rooms at any point, so we`ll stick with 40.
“39” Mushroom & Mushrooms!
Waiting for more videos about mushrooms and banana plants 🌱
Thanks, and why not subscribe if you want to be in the giveaway? 😁

@@Not_Yourbusiness That’s my bad fella. All good 💪🏻👍 U r subbed.
Lol. And here was me counting how many times you said Hay instead of straw. 😂 great job brother
That`s hilarious
Just yesterday I was telling some friends that I needed a mentor to help me understand how to grow mushrooms. And here you are! I am surprise I have not seen your channel before! My lovely tulip tree was blown over and I saved a lot of logs from it to plant mushroom plugs into it. I am so excited to learn and learn and learn!!! 43 mushrooms!
Is that a hard wood?
African Tulip Tree is a softwood.
Thank you for the amazing videos.
I can not wait till i have my land and put everything i have learnt from your videos cheers...
I have counted 40
🍄 I only counted 38 but I also have a 1 year old girl running around with no nappy on, so I might have missed a few ☺️ either way it was a fun game to play 🧚🏼♀️🦋🐝🍃🍂🪵 thanks Weedy we all love your channel here in Austinville in QLD 🌞✨ big love from the Farrar-Wells clan 🌷🐞
I think you did 🤔 Thanks for the warm feedback 💜🍄
You're gonna live those Wine Caps. They taste very nutty. 72.
I live in Canadá and Î’m very happy to see your vídeo.
Another feather in the cap for the Weedy Garden 🪶
41 baby 🍄. let's grow some in the desert 🏜 heat of Arizona
MORNING :) mushrooms 41 times 2 times written ......... but geez its hard to concentrate i find that your voice and watching you garden very mesmerising calming thank you again for a great video.
Yeah...I have tried counting now three times. Best is when I just listen with closed eyes. Every time it is a different number. I`m loosing my mind
I didn't keep track of how many times you said "mushroom" but I did start coming up with jokes that had the punch line "That's the last straw". This was a great video, I learned stuff and you're becoming my favorite "nature/garden narrator".
funny 😂
Hello Weedy, I counted 40 mushrooms. Love your episodes. Can't wait to see the movie.
I get the biggest smiles when I see a new video to watch of yours!! So much inspiration and positive energy that I receive ❤ thank you
same here...with you comment :-)
42 times you said mushroom. I follow you on multiple platforms since day one. Love the garden, love the vibe and please keep up the amazing work you do! Thank you for sharing my friend.
Cheers
I soak horse cubes for a day or two an spread on my wood chips an mix, definitely speeds up composting cycle an I get incredibly rich soil in 🇨🇦❤️✌️
Good idea!’ Will give it a try as Well....just hope that it will not attract rats😣
If I was a plant my mouth would be watering
What are horse cubes?
Oh , that was lovely! No walk-in freezers, no expensive monitering equipment... And as always, your video was delightful to watch.
Having that equipment assures a grower that they can secure a harvest, and make a living. I am only going to eat mushrooms when it is 20 degrees outside. 😋
I can't wait until I have my own patch of land to play as you do.
Awwww, Weedy, Mate! You really are the Pied Piper of the gardening world. I was not keen on friendly bugs or worms (100 % gardening with gloves) but you made me want to vermicompost and keep bees; I loved rain in my garden but not on me while gardening, and you made me enjoy feeling that cooling rain and squelching in the mud, now you are making me want to go and study all the fungus growing....Weedy Magic! Thanks for another lesson.
That is just dirty!!! 👍
Oh my hat! The excitement I felt seeing this video from Weedy!!! YESSS!! Just a heads up with the Wine Caps - You are going to find them all over in the coming years. They like to spread themselves around 😅
Well that`s a good thing. If I get lost in a wine cap forest, I`m a happy gardener !
Thanks Weedy - another wonderful watch! i get so excited when I see you've released another video. i counted 39.
Are you sure?
Hi Weedy, can't get over how your accent sounds so Maori ! Absolutely love the gentle way you present gardening information, making it so achievable for beginners and inspirational for jaded gardeners like me. Anyway, could only count mushroom/s said 39 times.
I did mumble one you may have missed.
What an amazing video! I think the best I have seen and we love mushrooms!
I’m so interested in growing my own mushrooms here in Alaska
Again: Brilliant Weedy! Eagerly awaiting the first flush.
same here
Pretty cool to have warm weather all year round like that.
Blessings be on you my Brother. As always, Thank You
Much appreciated. You gunna throw in a number?
That "mushdome" looks very interesting.
Instead of a sprinkler, I would probably go for a solar powered humidifier.
Loved the video makes me smile everytime someone starts growing mushrooms. What you used was called spawn, you innoculated with myceliated grain. That is to say there were no spores whatsoever (it's why kits can be shipped all around the world). The spores themselves will come from the mushroom caps and will look dusty if they pile up :). Enjoy!
PS. Wine caps loce star much as well and are GREAT in between rows of a garden.
Thanks for that. Appreciate it. Spores are the dust, spawn is the white hairy stuff 👍 Gottit
I worked in The biggest mushroom farm in Australia 5 years. Its got Nothing to do with dark. The reason they grow mushrooms in dark sheds is because they the mushroom farm's saves electric power. The mushrooms are grown in room controlled atmosphere the temperature the ground kept wet humid damp moisture in The box beds is kept @ a certain moisture in The peat moss the horse bedding straw snd straw making up most of media compost and mushrooms wrll The miciluem was put onto rye grains in a very cold atmosphere in bags in 5kg plastic tube like bag for stacking purposes only in cold rooms so when rye was totally saturated with micileum which looks White smells like cold mushroom they would break bags mixing in compost compress 200kg of compost full of rye covered spore micileum leave it in sheds for a month abouts till it was a white block then cover boxes beds with Caci peatmoss peat with Caci casing ie Rye covered micileum onto the top of compressed boxes hhen placed in growing rooms to water 2 times a day depending on visual pinning starts pea size hhfn 24-35 days into first flush they would Only have 3 flushes of mushroom because of competition with bad bacteria who also wanted to eat free food in compost yeah well that's basic mushrooms biology..
Respect brother!
BOM
❤❤❤
Amazing video, so informative and calming too. Every video is like a small film. Thank you 🙏
What a great project. Look forward to seeing the results....garlic mushrooms on toast incoming 👍
You and me both!
I am thinking at least 60 times mushroom / mushrooms! Love this video!
Thanks for the video, as always beautifully done and very inspiring. I counted 40 mushrooms and would love to be included in your competition. Mushrooms would be a lovely addition to our garden😁👏
Thanks, and why not subscribe if you want to be in the giveaway? 😁
Haha what a spectacular video. Such a joy to watch and see your passion for this flow so naturally through you. I especially loved the echo effect you added as you stuck your head in the mushroom tent!
Glad you enjoyed it!
40 mushrooms! Thanks for the vid!
Another excellent video! "straw" LOL you make me smile
😁
52! I grow mushrooms at home and I'm super happy that my favorite channel is now growing in his garden too
Thanks, and why not subscribe if you want to be in the giveaway? 😁
Bloody hell Weedy, I’ve been up since 4.45 am & now you’ve got me watching your magnificent mini mushy movie over & over! Thank god we didn’t have to count how many times you got straw wrong too, cos I had a hard enough time trying to count mushrooms! Anyway, I got 41. I’m probably wrong, but I hope not cos I was just looking to buy some on the weekend! Keep up the excellent work Weedy, you’re a gem 🙃
Onya mate.
You make it look doable. Cant wait to see the update! I wish we had a mushroom farm i could use to avoid those plastic small containers. I also am to afraid of inoculating my house and my small yard in the city. Maybe i can convince my townspeople to put some of these around. Its moldy enough where i live and the construction/real estate men 'don't' see it as a problem. Cant wait to watch ur video!!!!
@2:22 was a trippy shot my friend
lol I say hay when I mean straw eeeeevery time!!!! You're not alone ;)
I can smell the field work on you good job my boy
My man!!
Great Job Weedy!! Keep it up bro. Thanks for the videos
My pleasure
Nice gardening. Watching from South Korea ❤
Hello over there friend ✌️
Thanks WEEDY.... I am there with U since the very inception.... Love you and all the best.
Thanks Weedy for this great video simplifying mushroom growing! I've always wanted to know this. I'm not too geographically far from you, also very slowly starting my permaculture patch up in midcoast NSW. I think you said Mushroom(s) 40 TIMES. Would love a kit to try it out! Also couple of ideas: (1) there might be an opportunity to try either a 80watt UV-C lamp or 12v Ozone O3 generator (about AU$120), run for 2 to 4hrs or longer in an enclosed space for wood chips/logs etc, which would Fully Sterilise them. I use them to kill mould and damp smells in all corners of the house and furniture, about once every 1 or 2 months when heavily humid/damp, while we have exited the house ofcourse. Works a Charm! So Ozone, may help scale up production surplus. I've also successfully used O3 to clean/filter rancid brown ditch water, with O3 + lime + sand + charcoal, to a drinking potable standard. Easier than we might think. O3 is pretty powerful and can be run off a solar panel. (2) could we use beeswax instead, to cover the mushroom spawn plugs? Fantastic video, thanks again!
It is bees wax 👍 Thanks also for the tip 💪🏻
Perfect timing as I just bought my second grow kit and spawns ❤. Great video as usual David. Love from California mate.
Mr.Weedy- love your short films. National Geographic/ Discovery quality. Would like very much to give mushrooms a go in my garden. I counted 44 times. Wish me luck
You are a bit late to the race mate 😁
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Love it! I think you said "mushroom"/"mushrooms" 40 times, and just "mushrooms" 27 times. 🍄💚
👍
Super cool. I love your content and I’ve been wanting to learn to grow my own shrooms. Thanks for your video.
I watched it three times so I could get the number of times you said mushroom/s. I counted 41.
Great video. Can’t wait to see the updates.
Hopefully I’m not too late for the competition, I counted 41 mushrooms but I feel I may have missed one or two!
Either way another wonderful video for us all to enjoy 🐝
Happy gardening!
I counted 40 times you said mushroom but could be more 😊
Look forward to seeing the results.
Could be more. Don`t think it`s less...but it might be right on there!
Thank you for explaining all ingredients and steps to make them grow 🍄🪵🌿
I think you said the word *mushrooms* 30 times, but with the word *mushroom* it counts to 42... maybe? That's quite a powerful answer 🤣
I bet you're gaining a lot of subs from this! 40 Mushroom/Mushrooms counted
I got 41 🍄💚 I had to go back and listen again. I love mushrooms - haven’t met one I didn’t like yet.
I’m a new fan of your channel, and really appreciate an Australian perspective for gardening and landcare. I love your trailer by the way. I love Mother Earth wearing green too!

I know nothing about foraging for shrooms...yet
@@TheWeedyGarden its fun when you go out in the woods and learn about shrooms
Weedy, I counted 41 mushroom/s mentions in your video. Serendipitous, as I have been curious about getting my mushroom on, I didn't think I had "mush-room" for them but I reckon I can find a spot ;)
I counted 41, but might have missed some... 😂
Love the video!!!
Congratulations with the 200.000 subscribers! Amazing work :D Greetings from Denmark
Mange tak 💪🏻
Thank you weedy. I Have tried to grow mushrooms a few times without success. I am good at growing them when I dont try. Had a few come up in my polly tunnel which is hot and dry haha! Don't figure. I am in UK so don't worry about prize, it is a lovely thing you do sharing your knowledge. My guess is 40 and the straw and hay thing does my head in too 😋
Hey. If you win, I’ll send you something else. Good guess. You might be close or even spot on 👍
@@TheWeedyGarden oh thank you for your reply. That’s made my day. I’ve just watched your fermentation Video, I am so on that this year. Take care and keep up the great work x
Hi Weedy! That would be 40 times my friend. :) Love your work mate and bless ya!
Thanks fella ;-)😁
Another awesome and educational video Weedy. I love watching your videos. Today I counted you saying mushrooms 41 times. Thats a lot of mushrooms...

I love your passion and you taught me a lot about biology now im cultivating my own LAB, so much work put into your videos and i get to watch for free, thanks 👍🏻
Mother earth thank you i love your videos thanks very much
Very inspiring. I’ve been thinking about growing my own here at my rural bee sanctuary but was worried about the Australian summer heat.
Now, I can try my hand at growing these beauties. Just subscribed.
Thank you 🙂
Thank you for sharing this, brother ! Mange tak :)
Love what your doing. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Mushrooms grow between our toes here. Every dairy, even the lawn....im surrounded by oak and maple. Could you do a video thats more simplistic for home food production in my climate? It sounds like it might be even easier here and i could save a couple steps as long as i do the right steps. Thx!
I look forward to your videos.
I kinda do too. Fun isn`t it :-)
Another wonderful informative video. I am going to order a couple of kits for my garden. I have never thought of growing mushrooms until watching this. Your wisdom and ideas David are in so many of our gardens all around the world. Never stop this is one of my favourite UA-cam channels and what’s better it’s Australian content from the area where I grew up.
Nooooice!!! 😊💪🏻🙏🏻👍
I counted 40!!
Clever way to get us to watch the video a second time Weedy!
As long as you maybe pick up something you might have missed the first time, everyone`s a winner !
Counted 40 times. Great content!

Great video mate once again. My guess is 41, all the best mate thank you for your knowledge 🙏
