Brent you can see so many things we can’t. That’s what makes you so amazing. Don’t know how far you’re taking this. But, it will be great my friend. 💯👊👍💕
The iconic bullet nose off a 1951 Commander would complete the front end on that truck. Just a suggestion. You do you though. Cool build and I enjoy watching!
The bullet nose was used on all Studebaker car models in 50 and 51 and he has the bullet nose that he removed from this one which was a car but was customized into a truck.
I enjoy watching you do the custom work and builds that you do. I have been watching your channel since just before you built the general. I'm impressed with the studeamino. I don't know where it came from but it is a good concept. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it
I like my small block Ford's (use them alot) along with a C4 trans. I find it may be hard to source them out but everytime I find them I buy them (it helps if your friends are into Fords). As regards Pinto rack and pinion front ends I use OEM components and can do a front end for under $500.00. RockAuto usually has chassis parts at closeout pricing!😎
Hey Brent! In many cases, I now use my panel flanger instead of cut-n-butt It makes a stronger joint with no possibility of pinholes. It's not for everything, but for structural or hidden fabrication....it's fine.
Greta job on the firewall. Agree with you about getting it finished first as it will make it possible to shape the transmission hump correctly. Be safe and stay well.
See this is why I like your channel you use what you got laying around The way cars were built back years ago The way I built them we crawled through junk yards everywhere pulled parts off cleaned them up throw some paint on it and put them in the car That's why I like the way you build is whatever you got laying out there you tried to reuse repurpose there's nothing wrong with it not everybody has a thick billfold like some of these people and we don't but I would soon have old parts then new
Just want to say hi to you all. Ian no matter how big are small the problems you face you always manage to joke and smile about it. I know you will do a good job on the stud truck can't wait to see it done and running and driving. God bless and have a blessed evening and night. Pete Allison Sr from Louisville KY
Put a light in the top of the distributor housing to light up the area for troubleshooting 😂😂 when you were welding it it looked really cool and I had a spark of an idea 🧐 please give this build a little more love it’s too cool to half ass 😂
Personally I think you made the right call on cutting out the old firewall and floor. What you're putting in looks much cleaner than trying to fix the original stuff.
Hi Brent, I know that was a lot of work, but I sure does clean up the look of the firewall under the hood. Nice work. I know it added work, but I don't think you'll regret the SBC and S10 clip one bit after you get the steering and tunnel worked out, which you always do. Dependable and cost affordable seems to make the most sense. This is going to be the best Studeamino ever. LOL. Love Halfass Customs.
I've been lucky in my 70 years mechanic career, because I had two first cousins that owned fairly large junkyards here in NC. Cars sit in these yards for decades and don't rust. Try building an old station wagon into a El Camino with the motor in the bed, any front wheel drive will work.
You made a comment how people were saying use a different motor. I have never did a Sudabaker but every one I have seen with a different motor looks like it has a struggle. Seen one at a car show some place that had a Mazda rotory in it and it fit really good, but not my cup of tea. I think you’re doing a fantastic job and with the bumps you’re having if people thought about it even for a second they should be able to realize how much knowledge you have to even be able to do it. The front end you choose may have changed some of it kind of like changing to small block. But it obviously not end of world. Personally I think you’re really good at what you do and love to watch and learn from you. So thanks and keep up the fantastic work
while you are in the engine tub, ĝet rid of the vacuum wiper assembly. Easier access now. Still look for a retro slant six or V-6. The motor you have just seems out of place. Thanks for all you do with your talented expertise.
Nice build. Those home made bomber seats will look great in there. Speaking of which, I would like to see the '37 pickup back in there before the coupe. It just seems as if it would require less work. You can leave those bomber seats naked. They don't need to be covered.
Once again you make what you need and custom fit to suit the occasion . It looks as though the fire wall will be looking like it was always there and its a Stude , replacing something that was odd with a natural looking product , Does it get any better than that , Stuart in Ontario ..
I saw a guy use an old coffee pot that you put on the stove to give space for his distributor. He cut it and the cap in hlf after cutting out the bottom, welded the cap on top and stuck it in the firewall.
Brent, I've found that that giant hole in the firewall where the steering passes through is so you can remove the steering box and column all from inside the car. Those cars all had integral boxes and columns. Zeke
You need to get your hands on a Quad 4… Starting to look like the only thing left of the original Studebaker is going to be the doghouse, roof, and the doors!
Really do enjoy your episodes, you work a lot like me, nothing is set in stone, but get it done. One thing I would like to correct is the word "motor" you use. Your car has an "engine" to power it, not a motor, motors are electric, such as windshield wiper motor, heater motor, etc., but up front you have an engine powering your Studey picup. Really liked your building of the GMC picup and all you did to it, especially the top and bed. You are quite skillfull and have a good head on your shoulders. Also, liked the 38 Pontiac build. Hope your buddies Essex tudor comes out good for him, I know you are helping him a lot and should be an advantage to him on the work load. Following you closley on the Studebaker truck or "Elstudeyo". Can't wait to see how you do the Floor.
Brent..I sure do enjoy your videos❤❤from 85 yr. old man..in Titusville, Florida 😊😊
In making motor mounts..you can use hockey pucks . Many of you guys know, but some
may not know.
72 for me age wise cool

What i like is that you do real high class build but on a budget. So just keep up what you doing
Brent you can see so many things we can’t. That’s what makes you so amazing. Don’t know how far you’re taking this. But, it will be great my friend. 💯👊👍💕
Thanks!
Hey thanks David

7:52 i have to say, your channel has the best selection of music a guy could ask for... Interesting build
Brent, GREAT idea with those firewall patch panels, making the edge steps like that!!!!!!

You talk like everything is going to be so simple......I shake my head "NO WAY!.......Then you do it and prove how simple it was. Outstanding!
I think it's so nice of beer company to give you free template materials with every 30 or 36 pack 😂
From the Beverly shearer to the bead roller, masterful firewall patches...Minty😎👍
You have an awesome talent building hot rods and I sure like the music also!
That's pretty cool.
Cool looking firewall. You are good at figuring out what you want and how to do it.
I enjoy watching you do the custom work and builds that you do. I have been watching your channel since just before you built the general. I'm impressed with the studeamino. I don't know where it came from but it is a good concept. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it
Great job I like to design in your beadwork too

Yeah there's a lot of cases I'll use the stock stuff this one I just wanted to do an upgrade make it a little more drivable and easier to get parts
Beautiful work on that firewall 👍👍👍
That electric Hilo is so nice to have make things easy.
Hey Brent!
In many cases, I now use my panel flanger instead of cut-n-butt It makes a stronger joint with no possibility of pinholes.

That's gonna be a cool ride... no surprise
Firewall looks GREAT ! She's gonna look Awesome !
...Newk from Kentucky
Thank you for another great video. Really enjoyed you making the firewall keep up the good work.❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
I'm enjoying your progress on the Studamino, take care Brent!
To Utilize the Bead roller to create an abutment. Pure Genius. Never Disappointed; Always Amazed.
Brent I will definitely stay tuned inn. Firewall is looking great. Take care and be safe.
She's coming along just fine! Brent. Looking Good.
Firewall looks great, really cleans it up!
Thanks for another , Brother !
You go fast. Like the Time-lapse work. Fun to watch!
I really like that truck that's the meanest thing I've ever seen
Greta job on the firewall. Agree with you about getting it finished first as it will make it possible to shape the transmission hump correctly. Be safe and stay well.
Looking Good Brent. Stay safe 👍

I must admit the choice in music is awesome nice pick Brent!

Firewall is looking mint Brent. Going to make a neat little cruiser
I really like this project, it will be a fun semi-practical ride, and very unique.

That was super cool. Great video
It's interesting how you're kind of always fabricating a lot improvisedly as you go. Suspense!
Your fab skills are right on and righteous.
I like the fast motion video with real time sound.😊
Put a light in the top of the distributor housing to light up the area for troubleshooting 😂😂 when you were welding it it looked really cool and I had a spark of an idea 🧐 please give this build a little more love it’s too cool to half ass 😂

Shaping up nicely Brent looks good
Great job 😊

It's nice to see you're keeping it stock. Never enough vice grips.

Hi My Dear Friend Very Very Great Job Sir ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Brent! It's always a pleasure to see you working on these projects!!!👍👍👍👍
This will be a cool looking truck when you finish...
it's so cool watching you build things on the go, and looking nice

I didn't see any other way to do the firewall. It was gonna need a little dent at least, now we have enough room for what ever. Be well. Hi Ester.
Like Batman, You have the coolest bat cave garage gadgets. "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" in the 1989
Sweet job on the firewall
Progress Mr Brent. Thanks for the video Brent
Good work Brent!!

You'll never know that motor is there with the hood closed all the time :)
One more step done.
there is a tube inside that column that shifts but there is a plastic piece that can break that keeps it from shifting,,,,might check it out

Thanks for Sharing... Keep Up the Great Work
You know what this means?……. you’ll have to paint the engine and the engine bay. Fancy? Oh yeah!😊
Brent like your brand of beer too❤😊
I knew an old family friend who had restored his 50 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe.
Yes you got it Peace out Later
I saw a guy use an old coffee pot that you put on the stove to give space for his distributor. He cut it and the cap in hlf after cutting out the bottom, welded the cap on top and stuck it in the firewall.
thats going to be a beautifull one❤
Looks great

Studecamino is really a hotrod. Bucket seats in my view is more appropriate. Floor looks great
