THIS VIDEO WAS AWESOME!!!! After cooking dinners for 58 years it gets boring. This was a great take on switching it up without frustration. Thank you!!!!
My mom always made Taco Casserole and I do it now too, my son and husband love it. Doritos crushed in the bottom of a 9x13 pan topped with taco meat mixed with corn and beans, like black or pinto, topped with cheese. Bake it at 350 for about 20-25 minutes then top with a salad mix of your choice. YUM!
We do meatball Monday. Only about once a month. Throw a bag of frozen meatballs in the crockpot on low at 2 pm with a jar of marinara sauce and by 5 dinner is ready.
Watching this is making me very hungry! Great ideas. Thank you
Variation of your Dorito salad was given to me in 1984. You use a small bottle of Thousand Island dressing instead of the Catalina.
When my kids were little we had make your own pizza on tortillas for their birthday parties. The kids were so excited to make them themselves. Cool mom points with that one!
That meatloaf in a muffin pan really blew my mind! What a great video!
All the above.. tonight I taking leftover turkey gravey from Christmas turning into a broccoli cheddar soup.
Leftover/fridge clean out quesadillas are always helpful at our house
This was THE most useful video ever - I am so tired of our ‘go to’ recipes. The day themes were a great selection!
This was full of great ideas! Taco pasta shells.Meatloaf muffin tins. Yes please!
I want you to know how much I love your personality, your encouragement, but most of all I feel you have a kind and caring heart. I loved your ideas of switching it up today. I’m also glad to see you back making great videos. Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
in the north of france (I'm in the south) they make a "carbonade flamande" it's a kind of beef stew, with beer, and slice of spicde bread with mustard on, delicious
Super great video. You rule when it comes to Cooking Swap/Change Ups, and keeping the menu not only varied and tasty but interesting and family approved.
Loved this video! I love all the ideas I just wish my husband did.
This is perfect timing I have been feeling in a cooking rut latly.
I'm an OG follower, and this is my favorite video! Taking everything you've been teaching us about shopping and prepping, and taking it all up several levels. Thank you!
I really loved this video Kimmy! I've been cooking meals for my family for over 26 years now. You would think I would have endless ideas, but sometimes I do find myself stuck in a rut. This was so helpful!❤❤
Our family loves Tot-Cho’s. Instead of chips,we use potato crowns. Add all your regular taco fixings. So yummy!!
Love that!
Kimmy! Hitting the new year strong with a fantastic video and so many good ideas! I loved all the themed nights and the idea of if you like something, try cooking it in another way to make it exciting. My goal in 2024 is to have a low spend month for January and a big part of that is cooking at home! I can't wait to try some of these ideas with my family.
This video made me so hungry and got my brain thinking of so much to cook. Thanks for this boost of inspiration 😊
Wow Kim. That is what I call a masterclass. Thanks for the meal ideas. My favorite recipe was cooking the meatballs in the muffin pan. Yummy. Tfs.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thank Kim for several great ideas. After awhile I get tired of cooking the same thing.❤
Such great ideas! I have definitely been inspired to revamp some old recipes. Thank you so much.
You mentioned your beef stew with beer, so you the video for that? I’d love the recipe
Very good ideas! I'm going to watch this again with a piece of paper to jot some things down.
I'm working on a blog post, should have it up in a day or two.
Super funny about having beer in the pantry for just stew! We aren’t drinkers either but I would enjoy using beer and/or dry white wine to cook delicious meals.
I love this video. I cook 5-6 days a week. I love switching things up, making “round two recipes”, and making different flavors of foods (Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian , etc). I also love making make ahead meals whether that be freezer meals cooked from raw or things already cooked and in the freezer like cooked ground meat, breakfast burritos etc. I do love to cook…but I do get that burned out feeling sometimes and this gave me some really good ideas and motivation! Thanks so much
I also save my juices from my roast and use it for my beef stew. If I am not making a stew right away I put the juice in the freezer to use when I do make stew.
Great ideas & tips.
I especially admire you for coming up with so many meal ideas.
I’ve always been a very fussy eater & only like things like fish fingers & shepherds pie etc. I hate anything spicy.
A popular takeaway in the UK is fish & chips, often with mushy peas.
Jacket potatoes are a great meal option, especially when you top them with cheese & baked beans.
WHAT A HELPFUL VIDEO - So full of WOW ideas! Thanks so much.
We had a tiny bit of salsa, hamburger, a new jar of marinara, frozen onion and colored peppers, small tomatoes as perishables in frig so we used them to make spahetti. Threw in some garlic powder, celery seed, basil, in with spahetti and it was so good. Trying to use up perishable food first each supper. We been only used a third of a jar of marinara from Aldi. It was so good. Trying to get into the habit of using ip perishables instead of freezing them to eat later.
My family love taco bowls with all kinds ofmeat
Looking back it reminds me of what they now called Bug Mac salad.
Brilliant!! Thank you so much!! God bless!!
Naan is a good shortcut for pizzas, too.
I have beef and noodles in the crock pot on this snowy day.
Tomorrow is fried potatoes with polska kielbasa and green beans.
Soup on Sunday. Maybe chicken tortilla soup.
Biscuits and gravy is a big go to here.
So many options just have to look in my frig, freezer and pantry for inspiration.
Wowww‼️ You have some really Great ideas here. Thank You Soo Much! cause it does after awhile get to be blah w/ the same ole same ole. You have my mind racing already for tomorrow. I Appreciate You! Your Awesome💯💞

I haven't made taco salad in a couple years! I just might make it this weekend. I make my own dressing to go over it though. Thank you for all the great ideas! God bless you!
Kimmy this video was full of great ideas. My challenge is that I am so used to preparing food for a family of 9. I am now preparing food for just two.
Until the last 4 months I would be able to use a portion of dinner for my lunch. Now that I am retired there are usually always leftovers. Any ideas as I do not always want to have leftovers especially if I am creating a menu for the week. My goal in January and February is to use what I have in my freezer and pantry and not go to the store.
The pesto ranch chicken is the bomb!! I’ve made it with a pork loin also, so good.
Your tip on sheet pan breakfasts for eggs pancakes is awesome! We enjoy pancakes but don’t have them often because of the time. This is a great tip for time saving and meals. I see yummy pancakes in my future. Thanks for sharing tips on twists for ingredients
My family loves it when I make my beef stew with mulled wine. I usually get that around fall and winter and it goes so well with beef stew.
I was just talking about meal ideas with my sister
So this was a nice video
We are gonna recipe test more often and give each other encouragement in the kitchen
Cause we are home cooks trying to survive the dinner hour
