@@TheMeshal33 I'm older and not ashamed of my smaller part of doing whatever I can these days. It's not even always consistent but I keep at it. ( Also, I don't do anything when I sick except work on getting well so I can get back to life sooner). Your comment was on point, thanks.
I can see the joy in your eyes and hear it in your voice. You have such a kind soul, and you're doing great things. Thank you for all of your effort and hard work!
How great! I'm a single, living alone, and I love to bake, but baking for one is really hard, and there's only so much freezer space a single guy can take up with desserts, so during lockdown, I went on my town's Buy Nothing group and offered slices of cake, bags of cookies, muffins, loaves of bread, etc. It was great, and a nice way to (safely distanced) meet some of the people in my community.
I’ve been watching this video with tears rolling down my face. Both my husband and I are disabled so I really understand how much this will mean for this family.
Okay Dollar Tree Dinners Family. Please tell me I'm not the only one sitting here sobbing as I watch. Full out sobbing. Rebecca you are an angel! I don't have any family either. I'm thinking if I were gone and my mum was still alive someone would be looking out for her, that's why I'm crying. I don't cook so I wouldn't be able to do this but you have inspired me to find a local group that provides free meals to seniors so I can send them a donation.
I’m crying myself. I sure wish we had more people like her. I have family but they never help me out. They are to busy with their lives. I’m disabled n 66 n some days I don’t eat bc I’m unable to fix it.
@@TobywedinikkiI am sorry to hear that. In NYC, we have meals on wheels. Depending on your income level, you will be able to get prepared meals several times a week. You can also freeze these meals if you cannot eat it all. A lot of church / senior centers will do this too. Please try to look into this. You deserve to retire and live a reasonable life. Worrying about how your next meal will be coming should not be a concern.
You say “lack of consistency,“ I say “new and innovative content.” No one wants to see the same stuff all the time. By changing it up, you are keeping fresh ideas! Thank you for that!
This is so kind! I am a grandparent raising a disabled grandson. There isn't enough supportive housing for the disabled and people have no idea how many of them are living with grands who worry what happens when I am gone.

I pray that videos like this, and people coming together will help fill these gaps.
If your grandson is able to live alone he probably qualify to live in a senior building they are for senior or disabled persons . My brother is 42 and has learning disabilities and lives in a senior building i make sure his bills are paid and i grocery shop for him mainly frozen food and i go over once a week to help him clean . God luck hope this helps someone,
My son is disabled. Im so worried about he’ll be cared for when I’m gone. We’re so fortunate in so many ways in our family situation and all. My parents REALLY help us out. Still, even though my situation is sooo much better than someone else in my same position…it’s so hard to care for a developmentally disabled young one. God bless and keep you and yours.
This is such a lovely idea! Stories of content creation creating a ton of waste are so common -- particularly PR packages sent to influencers who maybe unbox them and never touch them again. It's so nice to see such a sustainable way to create content while also helping someone in need.
Thank you for seeing the vision! I wanted a way to cook more and share more recipes but there’s only so much I can make without creating waste. This felt like a win win, I can donate the meals and share the recipes, and I can hopefully inspire others who might want to do the same.
I have become the caretaker for my step-grandfather, and he's tricky because I have to watch how hard something is to chew. He's lost a lot of weight due to cancer so I don't think it's false teeth stay in as well as I used to😂 But don't be surprised if they accidentally throw away your containers, they forget. I started buying cheap Dollar tree ones when I take him meals because they weren't as precious as these to me. But he's honestly happier having his oatmeal that the neighbor helps I'll make in the morning, and he makes sandwiches for himself the rest of the day. I tried doing microwave meals but he just forgets to look in the freezer. So I keep on stocked up on egg salad, chicken salad and turkey. I'm so happy you were able to help someone, it does make you feel good because it's something you enjoy, cooking, and someone else is getting a good benefit out of it!
Thank you! I get these on Amazon, it’s $25 for 50 containers so if they do get tossed it’s not a huge loss. But I’ll definitely check dollar tree to see if I can find some that work out cheaper than 0.50 each ❤️
Senior citizens with food insecurities would be a great idea. I work for my local senior center, and we serve them a free lunch by using a federally funded government program. We feed over 150-180 seniors in our area in 4 days. We are a small center, but so many need to find more food resources. For some of them, the meal that we provide for them is their only meal of the day.
My Aunt goes to her senior center for lunch every day, it’s the only meal she eats because now that her family is gone, she doesn’t cook for herself. She can socialize and get a decent meal. I’m so glad programs like that exist.
That is wonderful. The senior center my mom in law used to go to also had soup people could buy for $1.00, free Panera Bread, and seasonal fruit and veggies left on a table for those in need.
Maybe we can help you, maybe donating towards the meals you make. Everything we do for others , makes the world a better place. Life in general is very hard. You have a big ❤️ heart.

Thank you for finding someone to do this for. Since the pandemic, I/ my family have been helping many different people. I have people who get sugar-free desserts, and some just need help with getting food pantry pick-ups. But I have a few seniors that I cook for a few times a week. I have only 3 in my family, husband , son, and myself. So I always had leftovers. I bought 32oz Mason jars from Walmart, I cook bean, soups, mild chili, chicken and dumplings, rice , and noodles in very convenient. I love buying some of those plates in square so I could pk 2 ears of corn . I buy snack bags to pk salads with croutons, tomatoes, cheese, and meats chunks. I am very proud of you for doing this ❤️. I'm positive she will be so grateful! What a blessing! Thank you for always thinking of ideas for the elderly & less fortunate. ❤️
This is a wonderful idea. I cook for my 86 yr old mother daily. (She lives next door) At least once a week her twin sister joins us for a meal and I send her home with leftovers. There are many senior citizens that can use some help with meal preparation.
I just love what your channel is about. I watched you around the time you first started & commented how great I thought you were! Well, here I still am, and using lots of your ideas. Long story short, my husband used to make plenty of $ but no retirement, so now he is retired & we live solely off of his soc security. (I can't work) but I actually really enjoy being creative, hitting within budget & making good food. Lots of thanks to you my friend.
Everything looks delicious! The only suggestion I have is to cut the onion in the pasta salad into smaller pieces. That way you'd still get the flavor, but in a smaller bite. I like onions, but some find them a bit overwhelming in large-ish pieces. I hope the lady and her grandson enjoyed the very generous meals!
Rebecca what you are doing is wonderful! I wished I lived close to you. I am in a wheelchair and it's hard to cook for just me. I do get food from the food pantry and I am very grateful for that. But there's nothing like a home cooked meal made with Love. You can diffently tell your's were made with Love! Love your videos ❤...Della
Just when I thought you couldn't be more amazing, well, you go and warm my heart even more. You're doing the good work, and I am so glad to be a witness to the wonderful person thar you are. Your videos have helped me so much preparing meals for my 4 teenagers, my fiancé, my mother and myself on a budget. Thanks to you, my grocery bill has gone from $1500 per month to around $800 per month. Almost half! Bless you, you beautiful soul!
You are a very special young woman! Not many young people care of those in need. The fact that you have a full life, you still have the time to cook for a family in need. May you be blessed for having such a giving heart! By the way, the food looks delicious 😊. So glad I came upon your channel. You have a new subscriber!
Oh boy ... she and her grandson are going to love these! What great meals and made with such joy in your heart. You are such a kind soul to be doing this Rebecca. I wish more people would put kindness out into the world as freely as you do. 🥰
Another wonderful idea. I love that you were able to find someone you could help. Elders who take care of their grandchildren with disabilities could always use a little help.
Love this, I make meals for my Mother-in-law and take over to her she really appreciates this. I wish more people could do something like this our WORLD would be a better place and not just for those that are elderly but anyone who is struggling or busy.😊
You are such a kind person for providing all these meals. I think a cold meal like pasta salad is a great option for lunch. Another lunch suggestion is to make a her a hearty soup like minestrone - any veggies you have, plus a can of tomatoes, a can of beans and some cooked pasta in a broth. If you want to donate frozen food to a food-bank, I recommend getting a vac-pack machine like a food saver as it keeps the food in better condition. If you were wanting to produce a meal that has several different elements, you could vacpack each one separately, and then put them in one of your meal containers to keep each one separate. Then the recipient can open the vacpacks, put them in the meal container and microwave them.
I volunteer at a food pantry and have a guy who vacumn packs different meats for us in 1 lb packages. Clients love it!!! Last month our freezers died and we had to give away all the meat one Thursday afternoon 😂😅
Thats awesome! I live in a rural area so there aren’t many options like that out here, I did sign up for lasagna love too but nothing out this way either.
How fabulous you are! This gave me the idea of doing this a few days before my breast cancer surgery so my disabled husband has food to eat for a few days. It also inspired me to ask around locally for a disabled senior in need of help with meals to do this for, I love to cook and always overcook for the two of us. I’m looking forward to see how you might be able to find ways to freeze complete meals that reheat well. You are an amazing young woman with a heart of gold. God bless you.
This is a brilliant idea 💡 👏. It's very heartwarming and compassionate to assist those in need. I'm sure that whomever the recipient of the meals you've prepared for and donated to will enjoy them and be grateful for your assistance. ❤
As a retired and disabled single, bless you for doing this! Another channel on this platform had loads of ways for senior citizens to find ways to get meals, but none are available in my area and the Meals on Wheels won't address things like food allergies. Would that every town had someone like you to help folks out like this. It is a very needed and worthwhile project.
Young Lady, you have a Beautiful heart 😍 Thank you for thinking of the needy in your area! Im sure it will be greatly appreciated. What a wonderful idea!!♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹
I've seen a few of your community videos, but the first one finally popped up in my feed. You have a generous spirit. Thank you for doing this for them while you could.
I love that you are doing this. Twice a year I make meals for 20 for a Meals on Wheels to Seniors who are home bound. What a great ministry. Your kindness is appreciated more than you know. We also make shelf stable meals in 2 gallon ziploc bags for those who are able to cook but cannot get out to a store.

This is a fantastic idea. I'm going to look into trying it for myself. I'm in the same boat, I grew up cooking for a large family but now only have a household of 2. It's easy to forget I don't need to make a ton of food, and things do end up spoiling sometimes. Also it was really sweet to give her a little treat in the muffins, and to package it up all cute like that, I bet it made her feel really special. We all need a little something special sometimes. And YOU are special! Your community is lucky to have you 💜
What an amazing thoughtful idea. I know someone suggested it.i hope that it continues to grow for you and maybe others watching will help and do something like so too
You should reach out to your local chicken friends lots of chicken owners have extra eggs you might could get lucky with them donating for the cause. Hope that made sense! You have such a kind soul ❤
What a wonderful idea. You are so sweet and thoughtful. I made a resolution in January that I would donate groceries the first of every month to my local food pantry and I also decided to buy a toy every month also to donate to the Toys for Tots at the end of the year. Bless you!
You are a kind hearted person. As a shut in myself, I know I would appreciate someone cooking for me with such and Care. I am blessed to have a husband who is my caretaker and cooks for me every day. They are going to love these dishes❤️

This is a wonderful idea. I cook for my 86 yr old mother daily. (She lives next door) At least once a week her twin sister joins us for a meal and I send her home with leftovers. There are many senior citizens that can use some help with meal preparation.
Silly you, feeling nervous! You are an amazing cook, anyone would be grateful to receive such a caring gift.
You're an amazing, loving, beautiful, and kind-hearted woman ❤️🤘
I just love what your channel is about. I watched you around the time you first started & commented how great I thought you were! Well, here I still am, and using lots of your ideas. Long story short, my husband used to make plenty of $ but no retirement, so now he is retired & we live solely off of his soc security. (I can't work) but I actually really enjoy being creative, hitting within budget & making good food. Lots of thanks to you my friend.
What a wonderful thing to do for someone!
You are special Rebecca and thanks for donating to people in need.
Just one more thing that proves how sweet and considerate you are!!!
This is a beautiful gesture. You are quite easy to love and admire. 🎉❤😊
What a wonderful generous gift! During covid I participated in a program called lasagna love. It was a beautiful experience!!!
Aww, what a sweet thing you are doing! She and her grandson will enjoy those meals!
Where are you?
Just when I thought you couldn't be more amazing, well, you go and warm my heart even more. You're doing the good work, and I am so glad to be a witness to the wonderful person thar you are. Your videos have helped me so much preparing meals for my 4 teenagers, my fiancé, my mother and myself on a budget. Thanks to you, my grocery bill has gone from $1500 per month to around $800 per month. Almost half! Bless you, you beautiful soul!
I am sure that the Senior and her son will really enjoy your home cooked meals! I know that I would. You are doing a good thing.
Bless you for helping this grandmother and her disabled grandchild. We need more people like you. 💕
These meals look great. Your generosity is admirable.
Absolute love this idea! As a parent of a special needs teen, this warms my heart ❤
You my dear are a blessed soul. We need more people like you in our lives!
Love this Rebecca!! Thank you for sharing your time and efforts to help others!! God bless you! ⚘🙏⚘
Thank you so much!
You are an amazing human, Rebecca! Love your channel and your heart! Keep on keeping on!
This really spoke to my heart. I'm disabled, and if someone did this for me, I can only tell you how grateful I'd be. You're doing great work here!!
Love to see the meal prepping for a senior in need. I hope you continue this as a series!
Great idea!!❤😊 BLESS you.
Thank you! 😊
This is a wonderful idea! You give me hope for humans in this crazy world!
People like you deserve all the success they get and more - God Bless You
My ex-husband gets these from a local Senior Citizen Center and it’s a Meals on Wheels
I love this idea you will be blessing so many people. 💜🙏🏼😇
That is fabulous to make all that delicious meals for someone else to enjoy ❤
I've seen a few of your community videos, but the first one finally popped up in my feed. You have a generous spirit. Thank you for doing this for them while you could.
I love that you are doing this. Twice a year I make meals for 20 for a Meals on Wheels to Seniors who are home bound. What a great ministry. Your kindness is appreciated more than you know. We also make shelf stable meals in 2 gallon ziploc bags for those who are able to cook but cannot get out to a store.
I love that! Do you have any favorite meals that you make for meals on wheels?
@@DollarTreeDinnersMy mom received Meals on Wheels for a time before she passed away. She really appreciated the extras- fresh fruit, juice, fruit cups, milk…. Sometimes she was offered protein shakes.
This has always been a dream of mine to cook and rum a meals on wheels type of service to deliver meals to people who need them
Your kindness is inspiring! I’m sure this lady and her grandson will love these meals and I know they appreciate them.
I enjoyed this video and look forward to more like it. So happy your back and feeling better.
This is amazing! I used to volunteer cooking/driving for meals on wheels. They usually have an abundance of volunteers, though. This one-on-one meal service is something I'd love to get back into, so thank you for being your amazing self, and for the inspiration!
I’m glad it was helpful! I hope you can find someone to cook for ❤️
This is a fantastic idea. Your community is lucky to have you 💜
In a world when you can be anything - be kind! This warms my heart!
I genuinely love this. It's what I do for my neighbor I told you about the other day ❤
Yes ma’am! Thank you for the inspiration as well!
@@DollarTreeDinners You're very welcome! I'm sure she will like them, they look yummy
These meals look amazing. I cook meals for my neighbor and your meals have given me some new ideas. Thank you Rebecca.
God bless you Rebecca, for cooking with love and donating to someone in need. ❤️
What an amazing thoughtful idea. I know someone suggested it.i hope that it continues to grow for you and maybe others watching will help and do something like so too
oh Rebecca! this was so much fun to watch. what a blessing you are to your senior. you got lots of good Karma coming your way.
I just want to say thank you. You are AMAZING ❤
Bless you!
Thank you!
You are a kind hearted person. As a shut in myself, I know I would appreciate someone cooking for me with such and Care. I am blessed to have a husband who is my caretaker and cooks for me every day. They are going to love these dishes❤️
Good girl!!! I am so looking forward to following your journey with this. It's always a good thing when we help those in need and I'm sure your future will be very bright, indeed! Kudos to you! ❤😊😊
You’re incredible!
My neighbor is older and lives alone so she doesn’t cook. So every time I make a good homemade bigger meal I pack her up a Tupperware and she really appreciates it.
Love this! Thank you so much for teaching us how to make them. I am 70 and disabled. This lesson will help me and many others as well!! 💋
That's so great and kind that you did that. I love it. I'm sur it will be such a blessing to them.
As a disabled person this just touches my heart. ❤
Thank you Thank you Thank you! Everytime I start to lose faith in our world something like this makes me rethink that thought. Thank you for being so selfless
You are a Godsend from whomever receives your yummy meals. You have a kind heart and you are beautiful inside and out. I would love to see the look on her face when she eats them. This is a blessing for her. Thank you Rebecca and God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah
Something to remember... some elders don't really have a big appetite. And, check out Mom's Meals. Some of their recipes are not good, but a step up from Meals on Wheels. I. Love to cook for my sis-in-law's aides...like a meal for their family when they're sick, or just dinner while they're at her home, helping her. Love to see someone caring for her neighbors!!
Rebecca, you are wonderful! I discovered you on Easter Sunday 2024 and now I watch you everyday. Im a subscriber. It's just me now, but there was a time when I made breakfast, lunch & dinner for a "small army" everyday. 😃
What you’re doing is such a blessing for that Senior. God bless you.
Bravo!!! I love your generosity and what a great idea for others of us who would like to do this.
Absolutely love the gift of giving meals to someone in need! Such a precious blessing! As someone who has had multiple foot surgeries over last few years and being unable to bear weight or stand most of that time, I am super grateful for friends & family bringing me take out & I use air fryer a lot but there is nothing like a real home cooked meal!
