I just want you to know. I think you are just the sweetest and kindest person Kimmy. You are blessing a friend going through a rough time with food to feed her family. I can't think of a better way to show someone how much they mean to you and that you truly are THERE and thinking of them. Huge hugs and high 5's from me to you girl! 🥰
I love that you are caring for your friend in need. The way you packaged everything can also be frozen, so if she finds she has too much, she can always use it later. You're so sweet 💞
Hi Kimmy! I use dry herbs for the long simmering time and THEN add the fresh herbs for the last hour so this way the flavour is more prominent and not bitter, I use your recipe for your tomato sauce and love it, thank you
Kim have you seen the hack of putting your whole head of garlic in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Then slice off the end (not root end) and squeeze out your whole garlic cloves. It’s peeled and whole. When you try it please film!! It works.
I hope you have a friend that will be this good to you! Everyone of us desperately needs a break once in a while and I'm sure your friend and her family will enjoy these delicious freezer meals!
The jar of peppers&veggies in oils is pronounced like Jar -Den-Near. It can also be put on an Italian Sub or served on an antipasto tray. In my family we always fry or bake our meatballs before adding to our homemade sauce. I'm glad you heard me shout You Forgot the Italian Style Breadcrumbs! And adapted your recipe😁
We pronunce it Jar-Da-Nair-Ah and we buy the huge jars from Costco put it on our Subway sandwiches, pizza, anitpasto. We have Portillos for Italian beefs and dip that bread in the broth. Great Christmas gift for family who moved far and away from the Chicago area.
I love the wrap apron! And I love the idea of it being a little big so you can move around comfortably. Hope you add this to items you make available to us 😍....a pretty floral would be wonderful!
I'm adding my sentiment along with many who have expressed it here ... how touched I am with your gifting of the delicious meals to your friend. These are major meals too. This is love, for sure. May God bless.
Good morning Kimmy from our farm in Central Lakes ⛵⛵ New Hampshire! I teach sustainability workshops when I have the time. So encouraged by your videos, showing how to stock a pantry from a meal planning list. We have relied heavily on my pantry since March 2020 for our two farm properties. Not only are we a fair distance from any grocery store , but we also shut the farm down during the pandemic. Having multiple freezers and shelf space dedicated to dry and canned goods has been a lifesaver for time and budget. I had to give up my part time job in 2020. That money was used for groceries. Kimmy, you are a study in Materials Management. I retired from high tech and learned the min/max concept that works so well for the home. So kind of you to help a friend. We do the same. We don't have cash, but I can make up food gift baskets and delivered firewood and hay. So many of our neighbors were down with flu and other viruses. They needed a hot meal delivered and sometimes barn work. We raise grass fed beef and asked for help last fall to get the cattle into the barn for the winter. All the best! ~ Diane
It's so generous of you to help your friend. After my C-section my husband's boss's wife brought me a lasagna. It was really wonderful. Wish I had planned ahead and was more organized. I'll definitely do it for friends in the future.
You are a great friend to have, I am very much like you that I love to cook for families, it is just me and I love to cook! It is my Ukrainian heritage that I love to make pedahe!
Those basil plants can be put into your outdoor garden once all danger of frost is gone! I have successfully grown HUGE plants from grocery store basil plants! I use banana pepper rings all the time in both chicken and beef Mississippi roasts, and trust me it turns out super yummy using those too! Just in case you ever need to use a jar in a pinch! 😉 My family go to's are lazy lasagna, homemade pizza's, both chicken and beef enchiladas, taco seasoned meat (we use ground beef, chicken or turkey depending on our mood, lol), a fun dish called Bang Bang chicken (or shrimp), numerous kinds of soups that freeze well!
I have never seen such an impressive pantry as yours. What an example. Thank you for your channel!!! I am in awe of you. I love the spaghetti sauce recipe with the pork chops and all the other meats! Yum!
It was really kind of you to make these meals for your friend. (I think you said Denise, I'm not sure) You're such a kind person. x They all look lovely. My favourite is the gravy/tomato sauce.
WOW! I watched from beginning to end. What a great friend you are. ❤️ i saved thai video because i NEED to make every single recipe! Thank you so much.
I just happened on this video as I was looking for something else and I’m so glad I did. Some of the meals you’ve made I would never have thought of making. You’re a very organised lady and certainly know how to cook the easy way even though the prep is time consuming. I will now be following you so I can enjoy some of your recipes. Your friend must be delighted with what you do for her in her time of need which is what only a true friend with big heart would do. So many thanks for your video and I will now subscribe so I don’t miss future recipes. 🏴🇬🇧
Loved loved loved this video, my husband kept coming in to watch, he wants me to make the poor mans lasagna and enchiladas!!Thank you for all you do for your friend in need and for putting a little sunshine in my day!
Your friend is very lucky to have you as a true friend. Your meals look great and wonderful 👍 I wish I had a friend like you when I got sick and was down for a few months. Keep on cooking, don’t ever stop
You are a trooper! Just the way you keep cooking, you are amazing and your fast. Thank you. You give me incentive to cook and freeze meals to use during the week to feed my boys and me. ❤️
I love pulling up your videos when I need help with meal planning! You’re the first place I go! Thank you so much Kimmy for all the work you put into these videos. You’re saving us so much time and sanity!! You’re the best! ☺️💜🥳👏🏼👍🏼
It's so decent of you Kim to look after your friend in her time of need. I love all your video's and would love to watch your more detailed one on how you make that meatball gravy, it looks delicious 😋 😍 🇨🇮👍🙏
Kimmy, you have shown that Christ-like love for your friend. What a great example for your family. On another note: I will definitely try these recipes as they look so yummy.
What a lovely thing to do for a friend who needs a helping hand.I`m sure these yummy looking meals will go down especially well ,knowing they were made with loving care.Take care of you too ,there`s nothing as nice as watching somebody do a good deed.💕
Kimmy , you crack me up with measurements ! “ mmmm sure ! “ 😂 I do the same thing ! Season to your soul! Your such a sweet friend ! Love the wrap apron , they are awesome !
If you add your garlic when the onion is almost done and then the tomato paste and saute for a minute or so, it removes the raw taste of both the garlic and tomato paste ❤ Going to make some sauce for dinner tomorrow to have over gnocchi so thank you for the inspiration 😀
A great alternative to ricotta cheese if u either can't find it or it's too expensive is cottage cheese. I kno it sounds wierd but trust me, when it's baked, u can't tell a difference
This was a wonderful practical video. I took lots of notes and thought of how I could adapt it for two old people. I love that Lazy Man's Lasagna, and the sweet and sour meatballs in the crockpot. I had never before heard of starting your "gravy" with two pork chops! That was fascinating. Thank you so much.
I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your videos! So many ideas, it’s so easy for us to get stuck in our own recipes, it’s inspiring. Thank you for all you do!!!
Great job! So sweet of you helping your neighbor/friend/family ❤️ when your down in the dumps….there’s nothing like a true friend 💕 Bless you my friend, Loved this video 👏👏🌺💕🙏🏻🌹🪴🥰
Kimmy I love that style of apron you had on. I’d love one like that for myself! Always enjoy seeing you feed your family and take such pride in all your cooking. God Bless! ❤️😘
Love the new apron! Long term pantry still looking good. Love your long cooking videos. I know they take a lot of work for you and just want you to know how much I appreciate them. Thanks!
If you are putting sugar in the gravy to cut the acid down, I minced celery and carrots, sauté them in olive oil then I add the garlic, let that cook for a minute then add the canned tomatoes.
I LOVE the apron! I love how it wraps. I think that is the perfect size. It covers all of your clothes and it's not restricting. I'm getting to the point that I don't like wearing my aprons with the "around the neck" part.
I love making meatloaf and Lipton onion burgers and freezing them (raw) so easy to cook & eat. I’m also working on a recipe for fried rice mix for the freezer too. I don’t like thinking of meals every day so if they are shopped from the freezer it’s so much easier.
My mom makes an amazing gravy too. I tried your recipe with the pork. I told my mom about it. It really is delicious. I also wanted to say that hearing you mix the Lazy man Lasagna is my favorite sound. Makes my mouth water. lol. I'm making that for Easter.
I made a container of yoghurt yesterday and will continue to do so, for the cost of a 1 litre of milk each week yey. Next is making cottage cheese. Made hummus often. I bought an alfalfa farm box from the hardware store. Have seeds too.
I just love your videos! You make your tomato gravy the same way my mother in law taught me…except we bake the meatballs before adding to the gravy. Have you ever tried dropping a chuck roast in the gravy? Once cooked, shred it and stuff in those jumbo shells with your yummy pecorino. It’s a labor of love but SO worth it!

Like you, I mostly use dry herbs but I was told only to use fresh herbs at the end of cooking, as they lose their flavour during cooking. Dried herbs during fresh at the end or as a garnish, but each to his own

I like the style of the apron you are wearing. It's much more comfortable without a strap around my neck. And oh my gosh, I love your cute slippers!
Thanks! They were a gift from a sweet friend.
I live in Ireland and was able to buy an apron like Kim's wrap around one, if you can order from Zara it was only £16 !!
You are very sweet to help your friend out in this way.
What a sweet friend you are! I know your friend is beyond grateful!❤️👍🙏
I love how everything in your pantry has a regular recipe tied to it.
Every person should have a friend like you...blessings to your friend
Hi Kimmy! I use dry herbs for the long simmering time and THEN add the fresh herbs for the last hour so this way the flavour is more prominent and not bitter, I use your recipe for your tomato sauce and love it, thank you

Kimmy, try shredding your chicken with your mixer beaters. It's so much faster and it does a great job!
What an inspiration you are, not just from your cooking but also by the example of your kindness and generosity to your friend....bless you x
My daughter is in 2 sports all year long. So,once a month I do a months worth of meals and freeze them.It is a life saver!!!

Another Chicagoan here- we say “jar-din-air” 😅 But I can agree than Portillos is 😋 Buona too!
Wish your friend all the best during whatever challenge he/she is facing right now.
hi Elaine
How are you today?
I love the wrap apron! And I love the idea of it being a little big so you can move around comfortably. Hope you add this to items you make available to us 😍....a pretty floral would be wonderful!
The wrap apron reminds me a lot of the kind that are popular in Japan.
When I saw it I said, "oh she's really IN her apron." I love the style. Really cool.
Wish everyone a friend like you 🙏🏽
I need a friend like you! Having someone to cook for me some days would be great.
I use this kitchen hack to shred chicken. I use a hand mixer. Try it next time. It’s quick and easy. Just don’t over mix.
You need a garlic press and board scraper. You dull your knives dragging it across the cutting board.
You're such a kind person and a good friend. All of these meals look so good.
I'm adding my sentiment along with many who have expressed it here ... how touched I am with your gifting of the delicious meals to your friend. These are major meals too. This is love, for sure. May God bless.

WOW! I watched from beginning to end. What a great friend you are. ❤️ i saved thai video because i NEED to make every single recipe! Thank you so much.
For your lasagna you can use a can of spinach drained for the extra vitamins and if you dont have ricotta cheese you can use cottage cheese.

Exactly 👍🏻🙂😉
Your”gravy” looks amazing! I’m going to try adding meats to my sauce next time I make it.
A great alternative to ricotta cheese if u either can't find it or it's too expensive is cottage cheese. I kno it sounds wierd but trust me, when it's baked, u can't tell a difference
I switched that for homade lasagna and you can't tell the difference.
I blend the cottage cheese with an immersion blender to make it smooth and it’s the perfect substitute.
Good Morning family 🌅 and Happy Sunday 😊
Good morning!
Great ideas!! And so kind of you to look after your friend 🙂
I’m definitely trying some of these recipes! Love your apron but that organized pantry is perfection!

I LOVE the apron! I love how it wraps. I think that is the perfect size. It covers all of your clothes and it's not restricting. I'm getting to the point that I don't like wearing my aprons with the "around the neck" part.
Hello friend from outside Chicago! It’s pronounced “garden” like plant a garden….”air” like fresh air! Love your channel!
I love making meatloaf and Lipton onion burgers and freezing them (raw) so easy to cook & eat. I’m also working on a recipe for fried rice mix for the freezer too. I don’t like thinking of meals every day so if they are shopped from the freezer it’s so much easier.
That is so nice of you to do thst for your friend , it all looked so delicious, as all your meals do . Such a good cook . 💙
My mom makes an amazing gravy too. I tried your recipe with the pork. I told my mom about it. It really is delicious. I also wanted to say that hearing you mix the Lazy man Lasagna is my favorite sound. Makes my mouth water. lol. I'm making that for Easter.

i just came across your channel. I like your prepping ideas, and recipes. I am just at owe by the amount of money and energy invested in that pantry.
❤ Working pantry. That apron looks so comfortable.
my husband and I grind our own Italian sausage. using the grinder attachment for my kitchenaid mixer and prk butt on sale for 99 cents to 1.49 lb. you can buy casings locally or on Amazon. pork fat available at local butcher very reasonably....or you can do just bulk. sweet or hot, recipes are everywhere.
