Loved the game play. Sorry you didnt realize george did a massive misplay by not sacking his endurance in the second game. You might of been able to hobble out a win but who knows.
@@josiahsantos6286 Been seeing a few comments saying this, I know it's an old comment on an old video and it doesn't matter a bunch but still wanted to try to clear things up: the sacrifice trigger from evoking is on ETB, so it also gets stacked over the Exhume, so by the time we get to Exhume, we already have Endurance in the graveyard. Then, when Exhume goes to resolve, it doesn't fizzle, because it doesn't target anything, so George would get to choose to get the Endurance back. Then, because the Endurance changed zones, it's now a new game object with no memory of being evoked, so there's no new sacrifice trigger. If you've seen "scam" patterns with Grief + Undying Evil, or Solitude + Ephemerate, it's the same sort of thing. They brushed past it a little but the final outcome was actually correct.
Glad to see the boys are continuing my storied tradition of not reading a single word on the cards and proceeding headlong to the misplay step. Bravo chaps.
@@myneighborsnorlax3780 I've never seen a Reanimator deck look slower than Maverick. But that was absolutely what it felt like in the games. Legacy truly is wild and great!

"Is that why tendrils is in your deck, to gain a little bit of life?" "Yeah!" Tendrils is in the deck to win the game. You use gristle brand to draw a bunch of cards, then play children of korlis to gain all of the life back. Then you draw your whole deck, reanimating back the children to keep gaining life. Then cast tendrils for game with storm of 10 or higher.
That definitely makes sense. I was wondering why prof ditched the children of korlis when having a little patience could put you in a favorable position after griselbrand.

I'd love to get PK and Crimz doing a Legayc D&T mirror in the future. It's a really interactive game with so many little plays that net advantage and is, basically by definition, a 50/50 matchup.
There's no real method to it. The issue is the spindowns are weighted weird and thus if the side opposite the 20, 19 etc is heavier you'll roll extremely high and vice versa. In a regular d20 even if one side is favored you'll still roll a 2 or an 8 as those are right next to the 20.
@@Featherwick 2 issues with that argument. a) From what I can tell, any test I've seen of this theory demonstrates that there is no statistially significant difference between normal D20 and Spindowns. If you have any source that actually runs experiments in any fashion and demonstrates differently, please direct me to it. b) This only comes up when rolling for going first, realistically, so if there is a standard weighting error within spindown dice, it actually doesn't matter because both people are rolling one so it affects them equally. And I highly doubt any theoretical increase in the likelihood of rolling ties on certain numbers brings it anywhere near the 1/36 tie of both people rolling 7s on 2d6, along with the other tie situations. So, given that any statistical oddities are irrelevant, should they even exist, the only problem left is cheating. It is in fact easier to roll in such a way to increase the likelihood of a high number, but it's also extremely obvious when observed, and not even particularly effective. In conclusion, it is more efficient to roll spindown dice than 2d6 as it reduces the likelihood of ties and therefor the number of rerolls.
@@2ndPerk The main concern is that spindowns have significantly more faces with double-sided numbers on one side of the dice than the other, when on a standard die both sides will have a fairly equal number of each. (not exactly, ofc, since 10 is opposite 11) Since most D20s have indents cast into the dice for easier inking, this can result in more material being removed from the higher numbered side, meaning the lower numbered side will be heavier and settle more quickly. This is a similar reason to why clear dice are standard for most competitive play, as cheap opaque dice can often have air bubbles or poorly compressed material comps that result in one side being weighted, despite the dice not actually being modified in any way. Of course, in most dice the amount of material offset by number indents is almost inconsequential, to the point where higher numbers might pop up a *fraction* of a percent more. In practice, if you want to use a rolldown, and don't want people to think you're cheating with it for whatever reason, just get a small dice tower to throw it in when rolling. Because yeah, statistically, each face has an equal chance of landing, number placement on the dice is irrelevant.
@@2ndPerk If the 2 spindowns (or d20s) were perfectly weight such that the result is completely randomized, there would be a 1/20 chance of a tie. Edit: Nevermind. Took the 1/36 at face value. The chance of tieing with 2d6 is 11.3%, which is higher than 5% with spindown/d20

Having to deal with Arin, saying he knows what he is doing, but he really doesn’t
This was actually just a hilarious and fun set of games to watch. Just some dudes playing magic, poking fun at one another, and having a good time
"Don't give him advice we're supposed to beat him" 😂😂😂
Arin is literally me playing magic, this has been the best and most relatable episode so far. God i love this show!
oh my gosh Arin was so funny to watch! the dumb fumbling makes me feel so much better at playing magic XD
Arin: “Turn 1 Griselbrand.”
Audience: 😍
Arin: “Pass.”
Audience: 🤔
Arin: “Swords resolves, Griselbrand is exiled.”
Audience: 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

24:16 "did i leave the oven on?" thanks for the content prof, love your commentaries
Can we get Post Malone and Arin both as guests together? I think the universe may implode when those timelines converge.
One way or another, it will lead to Post bringing Arin further into occult stuff.
Oh my lord, watching Arin Entomb his last Griselbrand right after seeing the Scavenging Ooze hit the board, and the Prof asking him if he knew what it does, was hilarious.
The trio of Arin, George, and the Professor is honestly nonstop fun. Good shit, dudes.
Great content again! I'm looking forward to the Commander episode with Rhystic Studies and moar Pauper!!
This was like watching a dream.
