Greetings from rainy British Columbia! Well, I love all your glaze combinations. Koodos to you for making so many jars! I love making jars , but I think I will be forever perfecting my technique. Your jars are lovely, many I would describe as cheerful and whimsical! Looking forward to your honey flux video.
It is sunny here today in Maine. I've never been to BC, I've heard great things though. Yes, the ever learning process of perfecting jars!. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching!
Those sculptural mug handles are really beautiful! My husband is so particular about the handle on his mug. At home he had his favorite mug, he misses it as we are slow traveling. Your mug handles look spot on! It would be difficult to pick a favorite color though… You have such a variety in the combinations are all so unique and pretty. Looks like the lids are fitting nicely too!
I think that would be the hardest thing for me about slow travel. I get so attached to the things in my life. I know logically that the experiences mean more, but it's hard not to want a dragon hoard of things. Thanks for the compliment about my mugs and colors, I definitely try for a variety.
Great video. I love the new spectrum floating glazes, but they are always out of stock! I appreciate that you move through your work at a nice pace, you know your glazes, and you have a good laugh at the results now and then. thanks, Jessica
Ohhhh, I can't wait to try it. Do you have problems with rough rims with the brown bear? I love dark clay... but not the rims.... I feel like everything i make out of dark clay I have to sell as a second.
I like the ivy jar at the start also the 2 you picked and a few in between The sounding stone in Canada has most of the new colors from spectrum in stock I would expect with the exchange rate should just about cover the shipping lol
Love it! Love the special handles! I have handles with flowers too! Did you see my latest kilnopening? That is so funny that you have that too! Great colors again!❤
Thanks,Sarah! Nice to see how the speckled S&C look like in white in a regular firing. Question: is Dirty Snow a flux? It looks nice for you so ai thought I might try it. Gotta go. I will watch the rest later.😊
Dirty Snow is this glaze: I sub in Strontium Carb for the barium. glazy.org/recipes/59413 It's a very good flux glaze top 1/4 to 1/8 only. In my opinion it's the best flux glaze out there.
It was this video: ua-cam.com/video/eMR-2Z8DmTw/v-deo.htmlsi=3DKI3iF3qaHZ9nan The concept that I really liked about it was trimming the lid to fit after it was thrown. So basically having the one flat side so that you're able to manipulate it. I did throw mine too thin, and need some practice on making the rim for the lid to sit into during the throwing process. I am not used to having enough clay at the top to manage that, but I think with a bit more practice it could be an easy method.
Great video Sarah! You amaze me with your output and memory of glazes. A comparison of honey flux with other mixed glazes is very interesting 😊
Yeah, I had some surprising results. I am looking forward to putting that video together this week.

Gorgeous Glaze combinations again. I love lidded pots too.
Thanks so much 😊
The blues and browns are gorgeous!! Lovely work!
Thank you so much for watching! It's always good to hear someone likes the brown combos, I am never sure about those.

I know! Why can't we get more stock of those Spectrum glazes!! So frustrating. Thanks for the comment and for watching. I try to keep it moving, lol.
I bought some speckled grapel after seeing one of your videos and i love it! Speckled stroke&coat is definitely awesome 💜
That's awesome! I really love that line of glazes!
Ooooh, have fun with brown bear, it’s so nice to throw with but shrinks more than you’d think. You’ll have to let me know how you like Roo!

Hmmm, so basically all my Canadian potter friends still have access. I guess I'll have to look into the shipping rate if I get desperate enough.
Love it! Love the special handles! I have handles with flowers too! Did you see my latest kilnopening? That is so funny that you have that too! Great colors again!❤
I must have missed it! I'll watch it tonight:)
What was your favorite piece out of this load? Thanks for watching!!

What video helped you with the jars?
