The bee mug is my favorite!! Just gorgeous. And what a great kiln load!! I love how your saturation gold piece came out. I can not get that glaze to come out. I’ve tried a lot more coats and nothing. Remember the way you pack the kiln will have a lot to do with what shelves get hotter. The more packed and dense the shelves are the more heat it will take to get to temp and it will also retain more heat. Who would have thought!! A makeup eraser!!! Wow!! So cool.
That is so true! I do forget that! I was actually missing the very too shelf so that definately explains it. Sometimes i put props in around my pieces if there’s not alot on the shelf. Saturated gold is tricky. That shell imprint was full of glaze - i was half expecting blisters there was so much glaze. I dont think there is a thing of too much saturated gold layers!
I am so glad you like the astronaut mug, I was very happy with it! The cutters are from Etsy from a seller called Floaty 3d. Thanks so much for watching!
Hey Karen wow the galaxy mug is amazing! Wow the beachy mug is so Aussie love it. Oh wow that lavender mist is stunning! Love the spotted blue grey too gorgeous. I love how experimental u r w glazes! I need to play more. Love the cup n saucer so pretty. My fav is the spotted blue grey one. Gorgeous unload. Nat xx
Thanks Nat!!!! I wish i used test tiles sometimes!!!! Only ever do if i have finished a customers piece and i know i dont have time to remake! I think the speedball glazes ate going to be very beautiful - the lavender mist turned out exactly like the pic on the jar. Loving laguna too and they seem to be playing nicely with the other brands (so far!!!!)
Wow! That astronaut mug is freakin awesome! Nawww, the beachy one is so cute. I really like the colours on your attempt at Frozen ponds tea cup. The pour over is stunning! What a lovely kiln unload! Oh the make-up remover pad is intriguing, I may have to try that. I'm going to have to get a couple of those whisks too. Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year xxxx
Thanks Jane! Bit of work went into that one bit a tried and tested glaze combo so i wasnt stressing! The other pieces generally speaking had new to me glazes so i thought it could have been a little dicey, ha ha! Those make up erasers are great - and last! And the whisk is awesome. Remind me to link it for you!
Love the Astronaut mug. Great tip re underglaze over. Love the blues on your beachy mug. The dry lake is interesting. Love both the lavender mists. Wow you got lots of colour variation in the coffee pour over. The bee mug is cute. Great kiln unload ❤
Oh me too! Was pretty chuffed! I always worry the stars will move, but they dont! Yep, they are both gorgeous! Felt weird saying lavender mist on the same cup twice but referring to different glazes!!
Hi Karen 🎉 Yay you made a crystal mug i love it!!! Thanks so much for the mention 💜 im so glad you tried it & its so beautiful! I like the crystal on the handle. I havent tried dry lake yet but got a pint of iceberg drift from western which i read can be tinted with any mason stain so im going to try that soon ✨️ Lots of pretty mugs! Did you say the "sand" was an underglaze? Coffee filter thing is so pretty! ☮️amanda
I absolutely adore the crystals Amanda and look forward to playing with them a bit more!!! Just wondering, can you put a stable glaze under the dry lakes or wizard glaze for contrast? Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Happy New Year 🥰💕 I too am doing nothing and so flipping excited for it lol I worked today but am now on holiday so I think I’m going to see in the new year by playing with clay in my craft room 🤩 I love the astronaut mug and the mug your daughter made too 🤩🤩
Sorry for the spam😂 ai just wanted to say that I thought of you and that I said you can have the bird because I did not like it😊 That was out of friendship, cause you like it, not mean or something🙏
Three! Coffee pour over is 3 coats of sand and sea (mayco) then three coats of cordovan (mayco) and big gobs of oatmeal (Amaco) Thats what beings out the gorgeous blues and pinks!
Please be careful with Temu they have been selling peoples details and are not ethical at all with their labour force. Please think about this before you use them. This is meant kindly. Your Pottery is lovely!
Thank you for the heads up. I thought they were a selling platform where sellers apply to list their goods? I suspect lots of companies do this and a few places I have been an active member on have been hacked in 2024. Unfortunately i think most of our details are already out there ☹️ I shall do some research! Thank you for the compliment! 🥰
