As someone who loves multiplayer modded terraria, the damage calculator on bosses is actually really nice for my group. It lets us know who was lagging behind on damage, letting us focus on upgrading that specific person's gear. With it, you also have to realise that damage isn't everything, as there's more factors that go into a boss fight. For example, one player might have lower damage because they were constantly dodging and staying alive, letting the higher damage players respawn and deal a bunch of damage before dying. I personally think it's a good addition, but who knows lol
Yknow... I'm still kinda annoyed about what happened with 1.4 in that regard. It didn't feel like 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, because it didn't expand the end-game. And it didn't need to. But because of that, it just felt like a lot of small updates, rather than a full update.

Mixing secret seeds is "I can't play 1.4.4 now" tier for me, hands down. For a while, it was literal. Choosing between Drunk world gen and Celebration Mk.10 was just too difficult. I wanted to have both at once really badly. ...I have since started at least 3 more Terraria playthroughs, though. lol The wait was just getting too long. ...I do need it, though; I need my Drunk Celebration worlds.

the starcrash is almost 100% a meteorite whip , it has got a lot of potential , they could even make a meteorite minion and make meteorite a mage+summoner ore , the starcrash could make your minions summon stars just like the firecracker makes your minions do explosions.

So the thing about the massive amount of whips, is you can have them fit into one of two types. The first type of whip is used for buffing your summons as your main source of damage. The second type of whip can be used as your main source of damage itself, maybe through debuffs or just raw damage.
I can kinda see where you're coming from on the summoner count thing, but being honest, summoners don't get upgrades to the number of summons they have at a time very often. In all my summoner playthroughs, I've pretty much always known how many summons I could have at a time, because that's the amount of summons I'll be capped at for a while. It's a small number that changes infrequently; needing a whole UI screen purely for it seems like more development effort than it would really be worth. (Especially since it's useless if you're doing a non-summoner playthrough.) Whereas the simple change of just telling me how many summons I currently have out is in fact a game changer to me. No longer will I die during a multiplayer boss fight, respawn, and hectically spam my primary summon until I'm "pretty sure" that I summoned up to my cap before properly rejoining the fight. I just have to look up at the number in the UI and know if it's the number I'm aiming for. Besides, opening a whole other UI screen to double check that would actually slow me down in that instance, doing the opposite of helping me. Maybe like, the number for the minions changes color or turns bold if you're at your summon cap. That wouldn't be intrusive like a whole UI screen, while also providing some of that extra information.

i did play 1.4.4 as a summoner recently and it really good most of the time is so nice to not die to enemy and let the minions and sentry do the work for you :). can't wait to replay or continue on my summoner character to gather all the summons and whips that this update will give us.
As a nb person the voice chooser and pitch slider are peak, because I get it have more body types without changing the voice up. It is genuinely such a game changer in character creation.
talking about the new banner ui placement, in the settings you can choose which pages can be accessible from the inventory. the pages include stuff like duplication, the journey mode menu, the bestiary, the chat, emotes, and other things. I'm pretty sure the new banner thing is going to be included in this group, so you can probably toggle it on or off the inventory ui as you like.

I gotta agree with you on how resprites have made the game look so much better. especially considering how the character sprites have evolved from being modified Final Fantasy V sprites all the way to what we have now. the game is such a beautiful work of art because of all the sprite work that has gone into the game since the early days

An idea for the minion counter is that next to it you could have imps 3/7, stardust dragon 2/7, terraprisma 2/7 to show how many your max capacity is and how many in each minion for the people who use multiple different minions at once.

It can't cut down trees. It can spawn wood based on the tree that it tries to chop down, but it isn't actually strong enough to cut down trees.
Maybe the vampie seed has lifesteal?

I wish you could combine boss summons with say Luminite to make it so the boss (any of them) can be scaled to end game gear.
Like you would need endgame gear to fight the scaled boss.

On the damage counter thing i would Really love if it had a version that would tell you how much damage each thing you used caused… that would kind of be a game changer, and it should tell you even if they win, so that way, on your next attempt, maybe something that wasnt very good can be dropped, or something stronger than you thought can be focused

An idea for the minion counter is that next to it you could have imps 3/7, stardust dragon 2/7, terraprisma 2/7 to show how many your max capacity is and how many in each minion for the people who use multiple different minions at once.

I like to build things in Terraria and having a fitting block and furniture set to go with building a cavern town in the Aether cave is VERY good... Same thing goes for pretty much anything building related... the more decor and functionality stuff that gets added in the better imo.
Just considering how different mobs interact with liquids, especially with shimmer; the hopper could be huge for afk farm automation
