Iron Lung inclusion took me by surprise! awesome selection of riffs in this vid, really appreciate the concise walkthrough of these riffs, your pacing as a teacher is top notch. all hail king gizz :=)
I think the best year's Day 2014 and 2015 learning Minor scales pentatonic Fmaj7 , B Sus 4 , C add9 , Bmaj7 and Am , Bm , Dsus 4 and also D dominant 7 .
@@skippertheeyechild6621 They are. I just find it stupid funny how these boomers complain about playing god then proceed to play a 1st position pentatonic lick with a bend at the end as always
Dear Ayla. I'm an old guy. & I like blues & classic rock. But although it's an old song to younger players. It's still new to me. I never really understood the meaning of the lyrics. But I love the guitar sounds of Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam. I know theirs a lot of videos on this song. But can you give a lesson on it? I like the way you teach. I think you have a pleasing tone to my ear. And it looks like you have a soft touch with your fingers. Were someone like me that started out with a Mel Bay guitar done easy book etc... I feel like I'm trying to push my fingers through the fret board. Lol. Thank You.
Will it Chug? Yes, it does! Sounds great on "Its my fault " I believe you would enjoy more metal in the repertoire you have an awesome chug and palm mute lets see a colab with you and Ola, Ayla .
Awesome Ayla! PATD and Willow were favs. The crushing Willow riff sounds like something Mark Tremonti would've played in Creed. You play it well you certainly rock.
Hey Ayla, great selection of new riffs! I try to learn them all, thanks! I have same guitar as yours, HS Duo Sonic but in black. I have a question about strings you are using for lower tunings, specially drop c#, is it the same strings as for regular e standard? Thanks, Martin
It's a Duo Sonic HS but she's switched the pickguard to a green pearl W/B/W lamination, so you can't buy that exact guitar :) You'd have to change the pickguard yourself

Matt Embree's whammy riff from the chorus of "Sharon Tate, Despite Everything" by The Sound of Animals Fighting
Jonny Greenwood's riff on Thin Thing & John Frusciante's outro riff on White Braids were my favourites this year
Playing god by polyphia
Lol. Came for this comment
Overrated group
😂😂😂😂
Not riff.
😂 I knew someone would say this

My favorite Riffs of 2022 are 'bad spell' from Larkin Poe and 'the steeple' from Halestorm.
Thanks for your great content!

Top riff is Playing God by Polyphia. The opening is already a classic.
Every time I listen to a song by them I immediately never want to hear it again.
@@ArmandoMPR Found the guy with the boomer bends
@@_xfuturetrunksx_ Boomer bends are good when used sparingly.

I love the way she adjusts the way she explains things depending on who she thinks the audience of whichever song is LMAO

Look up Christine Ingram, wonderful blues player.
Wowwwwww😮 you saw funny and best Teacher. What fun, you are full of humor and your teaching is really pleasant and clear. A lovely day and life.
That is soooo cool!!! I recently dropped my strings to drop D standard yesterday!!!
The riff (and lyrics, vocals accompanying the riff!) in WILLOW's song "Come Home" !
That's some nice tone 😎🤘🏻 especially on that Iron Lung, what's the secret??? 😉👍🏻
Almost anything by Band Maid lead guitar and composer Kanami. She is way ahead of most and more of a challenge for you.
Will it Chug? Yes, it does! Sounds great on "Its my fault " I believe you would enjoy more metal in the repertoire you have an awesome chug and palm mute lets see a colab with you and Ola, Ayla .

"All Comes Crashing" by Metric, the riff after the choruses is amazing
Is that duo sonic seafoam green or surf green? Love it!

Very good instructor!
Love those songs too
Blood Harmony Album by Larkin Poe has many interesting riffs. Would like to learn any of those.
3:24 lol that tiny text on the lower left
Nice what model guitar Fender is that? Love it!
It's a Duo Sonic HS but she's switched the pickguard to a green pearl W/B/W lamination. Looks dope
Anyone have any tips for amp settings on maybe it’s my fault? Fender Champ 20
Get a distortion pedal
Can you please tell me the name of this beautiful guitar?

I'm still not internet
Nice KGLW riff
LOL at 13yr old Ayla's Hot tweets on the music scene.

Guitar music! Djeh.
Playing God
Nice AF 👍
Anything from Band Maid lead guitar and composer Kanami. More of a challenge for you.
where is playing god from polyphia?
ABC polyphia
The color of guitar and my pants matched when I watched the video does that mean anything 😅😅😅😅lolo
Dude, Willow smith is getting heavy with her tunes.
Almost makes up for “Emo Gwarl” with MGK.
Almost…
Where Polyphia?
You were right when you were young. Todays music sucks.
Sei bravissima anche se preferisco i mitici Beatles,Stones,Who,Clapton,Led Zeppelin etc...etc...
:( so, no mäneskin?
where’s Metallica, Megadeth, and Polyphia?
No Chili Peppers :(
No, I have not been on TikTok.
No Black Midi??? Sugar/Tzu, Welcome To Hell have better riffs than half of those songs
capo😟
I usually love Fender guitars, but that green thing is oogly.
To each their own. I think that green guitar is rad!
It’s just a duo sonic in green. I have the blue version and it’s awesome
B nice 2 the guitar
It's nicknamed Shrek.
I think it's hot AF in more ways than one too
lost me at panic at the disco
