- Sarah from Obadiah's Woodstoves checks out the North Wood Cookstove, a robust import cookstove with a spacious oven and a firebox capable of putting out a solid amount of heat (31,000+ BTUs!). She shows you the differences between the regular and hydro models, their replaceable cooktops, and the well-thought out design behind the stove's airflow. Sarah also explains how a hot water coil can be added to the regular model for domestic hot water heating. Both models feature a beautifully modern look, and a large drawer in the bottom of the unit for easy storage.

How do you adjust the 3 different dampeners for heating and cooking? I get that the one below the firebox regulates intake air, but what exactly do the other two do?
Hello Sara, this is all so great, but may I ask about the two small once near the door, can we get some info about it.. ?
Hello, the smaller soapstone stoves by the door is the Castleton by Hearthstone. It can be viewed on our website here: woodstoves.net/hearthstone/castleton-8030-wood-stove.htm

Too bad they didn't make the inside of the walls out of cast iron. I do like this stove though!
I am new to wood stoves, why is cast iron a bad thing?
@@8thsinner cast iron is best for all types.of.fireplaces. only downside is the weight... "stainless" steel might be better for water applications.
