Forgot to mention in the video that the amount of crafting skills you can have on each character (Max 3 per character) is dependant on whether you are Subscribed (3 total), Preferred (2 Total) or Free-to-Play (1 Total). You can also unlock them with account unlocks for Cartel Coins*
Sorry for missing that in the video🙃
If I only have 1 skill can I do anything??
I've been having touble cuz I only have armstech and idk how to craft stuff. I can't get any of the gathering skills or anything
@@macywaky It is going to be a lot more difficult when you only have 1 but not impossible. Crafting materials are shared between characters so you could have the 2 other skills that supports Armstech on 2 other characters that can then gather the resources for your current character to make gear out of.
The other method is to buy the resources on the Galactic Trade Network for credits if you have enough of them.
Thanks. Im trying to see how I can farm cartel coins to get the unlocks for more skills
Also isn't the mats in ur inventory so how does it get shared?
Thanks for breaking this down. I find it so informational especially since I haven't even tried crafting yet. It was pretty intimidating. left a like
Thank you so much! Yeah there is a lot of really intimidating systems in SWTOR which is what I try to simplify and explain, since the game doesnt do a good job of that.
Amazing vid just started this game 4 days ago and I gotta say as a star wars fan it’s amazing can’t believe it came out 10 years ago or sum
My trooper does biochem cuz he's all about saving lifes and loves Elara Dorne
That's a cool rp aspect, what other combinations do you have?
@@ryan6140 Thank you!
Well, for example my imperial agent is armstech. I was thinking cybertech. But the agent is against underworld trades, she investigates crime scene and takes pieces from battle to investigate.
So scavaging and investigation = armstech.
She improves her and her friends weapons to always be ready.
For the empire.
My conflict having jedi does synthwaving for it's calming to him.
It's his therapy, his way of remains ready and intact.
That is really awesome, love how fleshed out it is. I think it adds a lot to the game when you create more of a story around your character, which is something I might try doing more of.
@@Lacirous yeah same, some inspiration for me
@@SplendyCross which combination is good for a scoundrel smuggler?
I just started getting into crafting after years of playing this game. Seeing the requirements for gold augments make me understand why most people ignore crafting. The grind is unreal...
I hadn't even noticed the coloured dots on the crafting screen, thank you so much!
Someone should make a video on how to make augmentation kits and how to make gold augments.
Indeed this was very helpful
This was so helpful, thank you 👍
awesome vid excally what i was LF thanks !
For a jedi knight character would you recommend getting synthweaving or artifice considering both the gear you can get and which is more profitable
Ouhh, that is a great question... You can probably make some good credits on either skill by selling armor sets or color crystals, I am not sure which one is more profitable.
I'd always say to choose the one you find most interesting (Jedi Robes or Lightsabers and Crystals). But if you want one answer from me, I'd say Artifice because I like the fact that you can create lightsaber hilts and different colors for it. Oh and you can also make dyes with it to color your armor!
hey! what headpiece is that ur wearing with ur mando armor? thanks!
Hey! If you’re still searching I’m pretty sure it’s the helmet from the Mandalorian Stormbringer set from the cartel market.
Whats the best combnation for sentinel?
Ty 🤙
Great video.
Just returned to swtor. How do i change what crafting skill my companion has?
In the crew skills menu, next to each skill should be a small "x" in the bottom right. If you click it you can remove that selected skill
Hope that helps!
So, the vendors sell materials for less than you can sell them for on the trade network? Do players buying mats on the network not realize they can get them cheaper at the vendors? Doesn't this mean you can buy a lot of mats at the vendor, then sell them on the TN for a profit?
This vendor sells only one kind of item. The others u have to get.
Whats the name of your chest armor pcs you have on your toon? I can't find it anywhere.
If you're talking about my main Mandalorian character it is The Ruhnuk Wanderer armor set. You have to be at max reputation with the mandalorians on Ruhnuk to be able to buy the set for 750k credits per piece. The process of getting there is a bit long but I can help explain it if you want to know, or you can google it ofcourse.
@@Lacirous Awesome! Thank you!
Question. is it worth getting 3 gathering skills?
It could be, that will just mean that you yourself cannot craft any items but you will be able to gather a lot of resources around the galaxy that you can use yourself later or just sell them on the GTN.
👍
Hello mate im a Free to play player so I need a recommendation since I can only if I recall choose one? So im a sith warrior which should I choose?
I say go for a gathering one to make some credits from selling what you get!
@@suomynonanosrep1830 Since im FFA what planet is like very filled with resources that I can grind the lvls etc
Which gathering?
You didn't explain how to be able to make epic items, which the game doesn't allow you to do by default.
Are you Danish
