It's so refreshing to see these ladies take pride in their appearance. No tattoos, no punk hair, no fluorescent hair colors, no rings in their noses, etc. Also they aged very well, very attractive and dress so nice.

These talented ladies had hits to get back together 20 yeara after! I didn't even know that they did a gig in 2019 until I found this by accident and its a discovery that brought a smile to my face
The full concert they did after this 2019 Bangles KAABOO is on youtube and they sounded even better. I think because it was an outside concert. Just amazing how good they sound 39 years after the four of these ladies first got together in Sue's garage.
I wish Michael would come back and play with them, she was a real tour de force with the group and my favorite bass player of all time. The group doesn't seem to be the same without her but still enjoyable to watch.
So glad to see them back together. They are an amazing group of talented women. Loved their music from the start. Keep rocking ladies, you haven't missed a beat!

I consider myself very lucky to get to see them for the 1st on this night even though it was a short set. I would gladly see them again especially if they headlined and/or played a full set. I don't understand why they didn't headline this show. My UA-cam counter shows ~4000 views for my Bangles videos versus ~850 views for OMD. It`s great! All three voices still sounds like they did 30 years ago. All have always been good singers and that's why their vocal harmonies are first class at all times! They all compose, play their instruments and sing. Seeing their concerts is a pleasure, in every decade. And what I see here is still a band that can kick asses!! But there is also one sad thing.... Michael Steele, i adore her and miss her a lot in this band!! A great musician with a wonderful voice, who has written such beautiful songs. Maybe some People say, she played "only" the Bass - the rhythm. To this People i say:: You have no Idea!!!!! But....the Bangles were great this evening!👍...still love them

Very Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers like to have their original bass player leave early on, bring in a spectacular bass player and when they leave; have the original come back 30 plus years later. Nice of Annette to step back and in fill the role. They were using touring bass players so if Michael ever wanted to come back, she could. But after a 10 year absence, she made it clear she wasn't. They called up Annette and she graciously came back.
Yep. She was in the Bangles and lead singer with Blood on the saddle. Kind of a Country punk band. Or Cow Punk as they called it then. When they got a record deal, she had to make a choice. Well, she left and it opened the door for Michael.
Susanna can sing the phone book and it would still rock with that sweet voice she has, but I miss Michael Steele's rendition of "September Girls" with that sultry voice that she had. I love Susanna, but I miss Michael.

Around 2018, Annette Zilinskas (the original bassist from 1981 until 1983) returned to the Bangles, but apparently not participating as much as a singer. I think that's why those that film them (in this case it was a fan in the audience) don't pay that much attention to the bassist. Her participation seems more like a touring musician also, more than a group member. I don't know how her voice would fit into the Bangles more popular repertoire (although she is a great singer).

She retired from music. The Bangles left the space open for her for 10 years with different touring bass players in case she wanted to come back. After that they called up original founding bass player Annette Zilinskas and she graciously accepted to come back. 33 years after she left.
rb , I remember the first time I saw Bangles in 1982, opening for Psych Furs at Irvine Meadows, where they absolutely stole the show. My first concert was June 23, 1982 Irvine Meadows for Ozzy Osbourne! What a great venue that was! I was surprised the Bangles weren't the headliners for this Lost 80s concert (OMD was). I think they were the only act that night that had guitars and played their own instruments. I wish they would play more concerts...

The sound was so distorted in my ears (during the songs where dude was playing bass guitar) I questioned if I should even bother filming it. I had another camera that couldn't correct that kind of distortion. My Sony correcting it made me happy and thankful.

My original post had MYSTERY SONG 1 & 2 as I don't the names of 95% of the songs played that night. "Out of my comfort zone" = there were 6-7 bands, 3 hours long and I don't own not one song in my catalog. They were my wife's bands and music, not my genre. That said, I did enjoy the night but I only knew a handful of songs, mostly Bangles. I know the melody's but not the song titles...other than the super obvious ones. I liked the Bangles best because they were the only ones that played 6 string guitars (dual guitars at that) the whole night. Everyone else was synth-music or karaoke singing.

Thanks for the recording - really good both video and especially sound (which often is overloaded/distorted)
I thank Sony (DSC-WX500 for video and sound). It did a very good job in correcting the bass during OMD. I thought those vids would be useless.

@@fredflintstone2958 I think we were standing right in front of OMD's bass cabinets. The sound was so distorted in my ears (during the songs where dude was playing bass guitar) I questioned if I should even bother filming it. I had another camera that couldn't correct that kind of distortion. My Sony correcting it made me happy and thankful.

My original post had MYSTERY SONG 1 & 2 as I don't the names of 95% of the songs played that night. "Out of my comfort zone" = there were 6-7 bands, 3 hours long and I don't own not one song in my catalog. They were my wife's bands and music, not my genre. That said, I did enjoy the night but I only knew a handful of songs, mostly Bangles. I know the melody's but not the song titles...other than the super obvious ones. I liked the Bangles best because they were the only ones that played 6 string guitars (dual guitars at that) the whole night. Everyone else was synth-music or karaoke singing.

Were you visiting LA, or do you live around there? Just curious... I am gonna try to go to that thing in Newport Beach, but, like I said, MY woman will probably kill me!
