Michael Ibrahim is a man of taste and distinction but he likes to do things his way. The Lo-Fi Delay is one such example. Michael has taken the now standard PT 2399 chip and instead of trying to recreate a classic, has made something with a little more personality: the LO-FI Delay. Two LFO modulations - square and triangle; two filter modes, 600ms of delay time, crazy self-oscillation capability... yet this delay can do the 'normal' thing as well. It's fun, inexpensive, as good as anything else out there and you'd be mad not to give it a shot. This is a long video - I apologise - but I hope it's worth the sitting as there's a lot to show.

Cool sounding Delay pedal.....and another excellent comprehensive
Demo by Mr. Kingman👍. That Crunchbox sounds RAD!
Very cool sounding delay. The modulation is pretty wicked!
Mike knows what he is doing, that's for sure. 1/3 of my board is MI. I am a Sydneysider, after all...
Revstars=value for $$
Tried this out at global vintage parramatta the other day and it's such a unique bit of gear and only $170! Amazing value.
Burgs, how many of these pedals do you get to keep?
It'd be so awesome if you could do a long video, a tour of your studio and show us all of the equipment you've amassed over the years - i think a lot of people would be really keen to see that.
How was Rene doing? I haven't seen him in ages. He gets me all my MI stuff when I need it.
The RRP has come down quite a bit!
Actually I think Rene is usually at the Annandale shop.
can you do a demo on this but with vocals ? ( running this pedal threw a mircophone )
Brett, what kind of bands have you been in?
Brett, I've learned several cool dreamy chords from watching this. Thanks. Are you thinking in terms of keys when doing this?
Thanks for kind words. I'm glad you've been able to take something from it. No, no keys in my head. I taught myself from about 11 yrs old and I have almost zero theory knowledge. I must learn some someday!
@@BrettKingman you don't need to learn it. Theory is just learning how notes work together, etc. You already know it.
hey Brett nice demo as always. um you mentioned a chip. is that BBD chip? some companies avoid the digital or analog question. thanks
desc states it uses a Princeton 2399 digital delay line on a chip as the delay line in the circuit. the rest of the circuit was designed from Australian dreams on a hot January day
And an awesome guitar to go with a couple of cool pedals..👍🇦🇺
Could you tell me the setting of the crunchbox starting on 7:18? Thank you
Yeah I'd like to know as well. I'll try and pause and see the settings on my PC
Those are two great sounding pedals, Burgs, wow! I know this review was for the delay, but the Crunch Box sounds awesome as well! What cab are you using in the Axe-Fx, and how are you patching in the pedals into it? Just into the front-end or in a loop, and if so, where? Sounds superb.
Yeah, the new Super Crunch Box is great. I'll try to shoot a vid for it today or tomorrow. I ran a plain old Greenback cab in the Axe. Pedals straight to the front input. It takes pedals extraordinarily well and makes my life a whole lot easier.
Cool delay... got great range
Just ordered mine from turramusic, great video demos brett,
Love your demos Brett, they're always the best!
Many thanks, Paul! Not trying to be the best, just a reasonable resource for you guys. Cheers!
You've never steered me wrong!
And you Succeed sir. I still can't get over your recent demo of the Super Crunch Box ( it was just phenomenal ).
I feel like I'd need an engineering degree to run this pedal... So many knobs, switches, options!! Too much for me, but a great sounding delay for sure
Bad ass
🤘👍🏿
