I learned a few more things about the distributed power system and I'm going to make a new video showing what I've learned so far. I found out that you need an MU box for each engine that you have running since the physical MU cable doesn't seem to matter when using the wireless system. I don't know how this effects the DE6 Slug yet so I need to test that out but I would assume that it still uses the physical cable since it needs a physical connection to even function. I put a box in the DH4, set it to transmit, and was able to control the DP with the handheld remote.
But if Radio-MU disables the MU cable, does the slug work? How about using 3 Radio-MU, put the one on the DH4 as master and the 2 de6 as slave and then remote control the dh4, should work? Can you slab a Radio-MU to the slug, i suspect you can not (since it needs a de6 to provide power anyway)?
I found out that if you're using the wireless MU box, the physical MU cable doesn't seem to work anymore. I had to put an MU box in the DH4 and that allows me to use the handheld remote after setting the DH4 to transmit. Additionally I had to manually setup the headlights for each unit since the cable doesn't work and the wireless box only works one way.
Seems really fun in VR, my controller is however broken :( I really do love how the remote controller works in VR! Distributed power will be a nice addition to the game, so maybe I can finally do some more unique runs :)
Woah how did you get your remote to sit on your belt there? I didn’t see the old tool belt holders they had a while ago when I came back to the game just after B99 was released.
I found out that you can use the remote with the system but I needed to put an MU box in the DH4 and set it to transmit when using the handheld remote. It does work with the DP but I had to manually setup the headlights as the physical cable doesn't seem to work.

cool i was wondering how to use these new gadgets

They're only there when playing in VR. In 2D you have a hot bar so you don't need the tool belt.
@@McLaren_2009 Yes, but in VR there isn't a hotbar, and I don't see the toolbelt or a license to unlock it.
There isn't a license for it, it's just there. I still had the tool belt during my failed stream on Friday so it hasn't been removed from the game.
No remote on distributed power might be an issue
