Brother I agree with you 100%. In 2023 I lived six months in Colombia and the other six months between DR and Mexico. I have been traveling Latin America since the start of the pandemic and I can't get enough of it. Now that I am back in Miami. I don't even go out to be social anymore I rather save my funds for my next trip. If you know you know, and you obviously know lol. I love America and all of the opportunities it provides but nothing beats the laid back lifestyle Latin America provides. The people, the culture, the food.
Try this place called : Praia da Costa, villa velha, Espirito Santo, Brazil. Beach, food, night life.. Just an hour from Rio by plane and 1/2 of the cost comparing to Rio de Janeiro. 😁
I am 100% the same way. Especially coming back to Miami, where I am also based. I have spent the majority of the last 2 and a half years in Colombia and the month and a half I am back in Miami, I rarely leave the house, thinking about the amount of COP I am wasting when I am here 😂
I definitely found my people. All I think about at work is how to escape and go to southern America full time. My mind is always in the DR or Colombia.
I've been overseas in the military and when I got home, I let a lot of time lapse before I traveled again, 20 plus years. i started traveling again in the early 2010s and haven't looked back. Once you go out at night in the DR, Mexico, etc, the nightlife in the US is lame. While I'm thankful to be born in the states and the opportunity it provides, my peaceful place is outside of the states. Just subbed to you bro 👊🏾
Brotha im in that same situation was in the navy and traveled alot but when I got out the military it took 20 years for me to go back and now I can't stop..😂
After my first trip to Santo Domingo DR in june of this year, I don't see the states as the same anymore. All im looking forward to is heading right back to DR soon. Make my money here in the states and then take my money and enjoy myself with the chica right back in DR in Santo Domingo
i just came back to the USA from santo domingo dr last night. this was my first time out the country since i was in 8th grade and i feel the same way. i will get back out there soon
@761shepard nice yes 🇩🇴is where it's at. If I have kids or a kid with the chica, they will be raised there instead of the 🇺🇲 plus she has two kids and the rest of her family is in 🇩🇴.
So true the first time I went to the DR I was there for 2 1/2 weeks first week in Santa Domingo Second week in sosua I damn near cried the day I got on the plane to go back to the US True story
Broooo same here. I’ve actually been traveling my whole life but mainly US territories/near like bahamas, Virgin islands, jamaica, mexico and been on 8 cruises. But i just expanded out to BALI and had a stop in Doha. Man i almost got depressed and pssed off when i stepped foot in the states. Im fortunate to be in the position im in to travel a couple times a year and like you said im here just to make money and keep leaving. Eventually one day ill be able to stay for weeks and months. Im a traveler now, i dont vacation. 💪🏽
I don’t even have the urge to go out in Miami anymore man. I just be ready to go back to DR with my $200 for the weekend! Miami you gotta spend $200 in one night!
If you’re spending $200 a night in Miami you are going to a small spot in Wynwood & buying a corona & a few drinks for yourself! No way in hell you only spending $200 at a lit location & w/ company
I was born in Honduras and was in the Air Force and got a chance to live in Europe for 3 years and you are 100% correct!!! It's just not the same!!! A completely different!!! I would go back to Europe or Latin America, in a heart beat!!
I could relate my brother. I was bitten by the travel bug at a young age. When I returned from one of my trips, and hung out at places in my local area I was very dissatisfied. Made it a point to take at least one major trip yearly. Now that I’m retired I’m ready to at least reside out of the country half of the time. And that’s only because I have interests stateside.
I'm laughing in my head because we all feel this way once you get bit by that travel bug. Know matter how you explain your travel to the guys they will never understand the feeling of being in another country partying. I have been to over 20 countries and I still get depressed when I have to come back home.
💯 wise words.. I feel the same way for me, Bro.. Great video .. I did Colombia and Brazil .. since 2016 back and forth through the years and went to Rio in September and .. gotta move
Im thankful for this video because I’ve been in a funk since I got back and I thought it was just because I was getting old. I want to go out but not here in the states.
